Hello everyone

I hope you all are doing fine. As many of you are aware that today was a major holy event for the Muslims out there which is Eid-ul-fitr. So i was a bit busy in the celebration and all that stuff the whole day. Now is the time to share it all with you people and save this memory here on hive.

So, this morning, I was peacefully asleep when suddenly the sound of banging on my room's door started. I realized it was my mom who wanted to wake me up five hours before the Eid prayer. I don't know why she's always in such a hurry. Anyway, I got up and quickly headed to the bathroom to freshen up. After getting ready, I went to the kitchen to have "sawayia" (a sweet dish). It's a tradition to have something sweet before the Eid prayer.

Fully prepared, I went to the place where a large crowd had already gathered for the Eid prayer.I found a spot and started waiting as there was still some time left for the prayer.

After the Eid prayer, when I returned home, guests had arrived, bringing sweets and gifts with them. I went to the place where sweet was waiting for me.

I'm always happy when guests come on Eid because they give me more "eidi" (money given as a gift on Eid). Speaking of "eidi," after returning from the mosque, I had some meat which was cooked after we arrived back from the masjid.

Then i went to each family member to receive my "eidi." "Eidi" is a kind of gift that elders give to the younger ones on Eid. Everyone, together, gave me nearly 15k PKR, which is roughly 150 USD. Why does it seem so little in USD? 😅

After collecting my "eidi" and safely keeping it, I went outside. There, my younger cousins were pretending to be gangsters, holding small toy guns. Some were loading while others were doing pretend firing. They tried to fire at me, but I managed to escape.

I sat outside with some friends, chatting and having a good time until evening approached, Then we decided to take some photos because memories on the special day are something essential.

When I got back, everyone felt like having pizza, so we ordered some and enjoyed it together.
