3Speak Upload Wizard: Chapters, Overlays and a Shorts Editor

Transcript

Hey there, welcome back to my channel here on 3Speak, today again about 3Speak. Today I want to show you some cool, exciting new settings on the upload editor. As you might know, on 3Speak TV, you can share long-form horizontal videos, just like this one, and you can share vertical short -form videos. In both of them, we have added settings, and I really want to show you them because I think these are pretty cool. Now let's go to 3Speak.tv. At the top right corner you see Share, and there you can select regular video or a vertical short. Let's start with a regular video. If you have not been here for a long time, you will see we have made some visual changes. I won't go into detail on them. So now let's browse a file and proceed to thumbnails. Nothing changed here. Then we got a description to make, some tags. and then we have these tiles. Again, if you have not been here for a long time, these tiles have been, let me say, not that eye-pleasing settings in the past, and now we have changed it to tiles, and in here you have three new tiles. The first of them is add to block. Before this setting, every video you upload landed by default in the tab all posts on other high front ends, not on block. While block is the top, everyone will see when they open your Hive profile. So with this new setting, your new video gets re-blocked by yourself, and then it will land on the block page. If you don't want this, just deactivate the setting. And then we have ads on this video. You might know, we have 3Speak Advertise now, so ads are playing on your video. If you do not want to play them at all, there is a global setting, I will show you now. Go in settings, ads and rewards, and then just deactivate, allow ads. This will turn off all advertisements on your content. So if you deactivate it, no ads will play on my videos at all. If we activate it, I have video ad roles. Video ad roles are these videos that are... squitched into your video. So, for example, Zechorama is uploading music videos, so live recordings of concerts, and a video ad coming in in the middle of the video can be very distracting, and that's why he asked for a method to only deactivate these distracting video ads. That's why we edit this setting. So if you do not want the video ads, only the tickers and the banners, then just turn this off and it will be fine. And then we have a share with the community you might know it already, but I want to highlight it here as well. If you want to give the community, you have created the content for. So for example, you are creating DIY videos about Needleberg, for example, and you post in the DIY hub community, you can share at revenue with... DIY hub. That's pretty cool in my opinion and many more people should set this to at least 25% because community work is really hard work on Hive and without the communities it would be so chaotic on Hive so I'm really happy that we have communities and the moderators in these communities who are doing a really good job and if you want to appreciate their work just step this setting to I would say 25%. It's your choice. Going back to the video uploader, so the first title of them is to turn off all the advertisements on your video, and the second one is to turn off only the video ad rolls on your video. Now that we have these three out of the way, let's go to proceed, because there is a new tab. In the top timeline, you can add chapters and links to your video. We all know it from YouTube, now we have it on 3-3. So you can just add a chapter. test one, then you can add a second chapter, test two. These chapters have to be at least three seconds long, let's put in a second four, and then let's just do another one at eight. We can also label them, intro, middle end, and these chapters are shown on the player, on 3Speak TV and also on other front ends, in the timeline. so they are visible for the viewers. And now the cool thing comes, they are also put at the bottom of your post with links to the timestamps. I think this is pretty cool. Let me know what you think. And then we have not only chapters, we have also links. You can link any website, this for example. And then you can also link ThreeSpeak videos. This is a search bar, so let's pick MidiHub by Steve C. and add link. And then you can also link profiles. Let's pick this beautiful guy. You can track them around, you can make them shorter, you can, as you see, you can also overlapping them. if you want. Now we hit next, and of course, this page is called preview and upload, so you will see a preview of your video, of your links, of your chapters, and of the video description. And as you see, these are all put into the video description at the bottom of your post. We can preview this, here you see the chapters, here you see the links, and now we can just post the video. Let's do this. We'll do it in the background, so we can already... jump to Bada Dips profile, hit refresh, and we see the video post in here, just open it up, and here you can see the video chapters. These things link directly to the exact location on 3Speak TV. These are the links of your post. Of course, if you link someone or someone's post, they get a notification via the global Hive notification system, so that's cool as well. It's done already. So here you see the preview of the video, including the title of the chapter, and at the top you see the links. Pretty cool. And now you have probably seen it already. This is also a new feature of the regular uploads. This banner is automatically generated for you and added at the bottom of... your video posts only for the long form videos you can also reuse this image if you want just put it on any website and it will be always up to date because we are updating it when someone follows you when you change your profile picture when you upload videos or shorts and of course also if your reputation is going up, we will update this image automatically. Okay, let me know what you think about this. And now I also want to show you something. I won't go into crazy detail here, because this is a topic for another video. If you go to share vertical short, you can select a vertical video. And after selecting this, you now have a button to edit this video. This is the shorts editor. Let's click it. And here we have basically an editing suite only for your shorts. So if I want to add a text, for example, I just edit a text. Go here, test text. As I've said, I will make a dedicated video about it. Then we have our test text. I go to render. Now it's rendering the video, and after finishing the video and composing everything, I can click on send video, send video, and then I will get forwarded back to the uploader. Let's pick a description and some tags, proceed, and then we see that my text is edited on top. The video editor is also available if you go to share and then shorts editor. As I've said, I will make a dedicated video, and as you can see, it is still beta. So, if you find any issues, just let me know. I will fix them as soon as possible, but things can happen. So try it out, give me some feedback, but please be aware I was the only one testing this. Okay, if you have any other. idea how we can improve the uploading, the browsing, the watching experience of users, please, please let me know in the comments or on Discord. Every time when someone is reporting in issue or have any question, I will work on it pretty, pretty soon and the updates are flowing in every day, multiple updates. Your feature requests will be... satisfied pretty, pretty quickly. Thanks for this in advance, and also thanks for using 3Spek, thanks for watching, thanks for your comments, and I know we see us back very soon here on my channel on 3Speak, bye.
