@jza: I was just talking with someone on Hive about the benefits of a DIY Home Server Lab instead of overpriced Apple hardware. But also was thinking on how this is a sidequest from the cyberdeck movement I wrote about a few months back.
Blocktunes Updates Awesome 3D Printed Server Rack and Other Rambles by @thelogicaldude on 3Speak
Hey my dudes! Today I am showing off my new 10 inch server rack that I completely 3D printed, talking about some upcoming Blocktunes updates, other Logical Lab updates and coming down time while I ...

While it's going on, everybody, it's your boy, The Logical Dude, and today I'm going to be talking to you about some updates that it's going to be coming here in the labs, as well as to block tunes. I've got some maintenance going on next week, and I'm building some new things. So, I've got some cool stuff coming up. Really excited for... my new server rack that's going to be sitting right here. So what I'm going to be doing is I'm going to be taking this guy and moving them down here. This is actually the BlockTun server here. So we're moving this guy down here into this space, and I'm going to be putting this guy up here. So what this guy is going to be filling up, look at this beautiful thing. Fully 3D printed. I have the full wall panels for this side too, but I'm leaving that, I'm leaving everything open right now. And then, you know, I can take this off right now, you know. kind of leaving everything all right now so that I can get everything all put together. But what's going in here is modem and router, which is all on the other side of the room, and I've got an extension cord that plugs into this whole, like, solar system here. And then, you know, I've got this computer that's going in there, this computer that's going in there. My switch is going in there. and yeah, I'm gonna make everything really nice and tidy, build my own little server rack here. So yay, fun times, a little cool little project going on. You know, the things that you can do with a little $300 printer is pretty freaking amazing, man. So actually, I got the A1 and the A1 Mini from Bamboo Labs. So awesome, 3D printers. If you can do it, get one. Everybody needs a printer, man. Everybody just needs to learn how to. make their own stuff, dude. Anyway. So, um, so that's going to happen next week. And what has to happen is everything has to go down. So I have to power everything down. I have to unplug all the network stuff. I have to move everything around. So we're going to be down for a few hours, you know, so, uh, uh, just be aware that that's going to be happening coming, uh, we're going to say, hopefully Tuesday the 4th if my fans get here. So I'm waiting on some pretty RGB fans to put into the back here to pull air through. So, and then I got a new LED keyboard for the stack over here. So, yeah, getting the home lab all set up all nice and pretty and getting everything all nice and tidied up. So, That's going to be happening on Tuesday of the 4th. So all the sites, logicaldood.com, OptionsDataAPi.com, Blocktunes.net, and the Dirty South FPVP.P .V.com. Those are going down for about four hours next Tuesday. Hopefully, if not, it'll be next Wednesday. I will let you guys know in the Discord. So go follow me in Discord there. And I'll probably do an update video, say, on Monday. So. Uh, hopefully. I'm trying to stay consistent with my videos. This week's been kind of a cluster. But anyway, that's just the way life rolls sometimes. Had an awesome weekend here at the Dirty South FPV park. All my buddies came down, we flew a bunch of drones, and it was just a great time for my buddy Madman FPV and his brother Shackster FPV's birthday. They turned 30, so they're like the little brothers of the group, they're twins. But yeah, man, it was fun times. They do the FPV hang time on Madman FPVs channel on YouTube. Go check them out every Tuesday night. It's just a goofy bunch of guys getting together talking about drones, man. So, go check that out. Yeah. So, oh, and what's happening on BlockTunes? So I've said this before in another video, but this is what is going to be happening, development-wise. on blocktons in the back end so if you see some little glitchy stuff going on, it's probably because I'm doing a build or something like that, so just refresh or just like, you know, wait and come back later. So what I'm going to be doing is I'm going to be actually opening up the studio API for agents. So basically I'm going to create like a subdomain or just another, I don't know, I think a subdomain is going to be the best way to roll with it. And just do a whole second, like, you know, little section for EVM users and for agents. So basically, EVM users can come in, they can buy some credit tokens. or, you know, buy some usage tokens, and I'll have something set up on EVM chains, probably on base, and then I'm also going to be opening up the X402 platform for agenix usage. So that's so, like, if you've got an agent that you're saying, like, hey, you know, I need... to make a video this and that, and we need to make music, well, it can go out to something like Suno and make the music and then use our mastering platform, or it can use our STEM separation platform, or our vocal cleanup platform, or something like that, and it pays per use using USDC, and it would be on bass or Ethereum. And, oh, yeah, that's the other thing, is I'm getting ready to add a bass node. on top of my Ethereum nodes. So, that is going to be happening in the next couple of weeks as well as I am going to be running not only my own Ethereum RPC node, but I'm also going to be running my own base RPC node for all these payment structures and everything, because I'm tired to use in Alchemy. And, you know, you can hit rate limits and all that kind of stuff, and I don't want to deal with all that, especially with, like, options data API.com, you know, that kind of thing. I'm going to be running those two EVM nodes for payments from my own payment rail platforms, which I might put up for sale, and I might even just start a whole secondary business around. crypto payment rails kind of thing and trying to get the height built up around that, around stable coin payments, because, you know, stable coins are regulated now in the U.S. with the Genius Act. So, you know, maybe get back out and start talking with some retailers and stuff like that, about opening up to stable coin payments and stuff like that. Show them how they can, you know, stack that stuff up, earn some interest, you know, or whatever, or show them how they can use it on different platforms, or how they... can cash it out through like Coinbase or whatever. So, you know, kind of start a little side service on that end. But that's what I've got going on. It's been a busy couple of weeks. I'm kind of shifting my trading strategy back over to credit spreads as well. The wheel strategy, playing the highball names, has been kind of hurting recently. It's been pretty bad. and wearing my back testing on spreads is I would have been doing a lot better. So I'm shifting back over to that and kind of rebuild my trading account there because hadn't been doing too hot. This year's been kind of rough with, you know, trumpster in office, just absolutely sabotaging everything and manipulating everything. But that's a whole other subject for a whole other video that I probably won't make. If you want to hear that kind of content from me, though, if you want to know my opinions on those matters, then let me know down the comments. You know, I could, but, you know, I also don't want to alienate anybody either. I try to stay out of the politics. I'm an anarcho-capitalist, so I believe all governments corrupt, fraud doesn't need to exist, but, you know, it is what it is. I just got to figure out how navigate around it. We've got to build our alternative economy. the way that it was supposed to be done. I tried with HiveLess guys, it failed, you know, y'all didn't use it, you know, so it failed. I mean, I could try on a different level, but then we're also seeing that other bazaars and stuff like that aren't doing great either. Many are also focused on solely on things like, you know, XMR or Bitcoin or something like that, where if you did open up to... you know, stable coin payments. It might be a little bit better, you know, focused on stable coin payments. We just got to, you know, got to build that back up, guys. We got to build up that momentum of actually using cryptocurrencies as a payment system and not just a pump-and-dump casino kind of situation. So, that's my mindset on that. But I'm going to leave that there, and that's enough rambling for this Wednesday. We're getting over the hump together. You guys be cool, be real, always abide. Peace out.
