Hello everyone, welcome back to my YouTube channel. So in this video, we are going to talk about PIP, and I hope that you have covered previous topics. And if you haven't, please find the link below in the description for checking out the full playlist for learning the Python. Now let's talk about the PIP. PIP is a package manager. Number one thing is, like, why do we even need packages? We're not going to build anything and everything from scratch. There are built-in functions. which we use in Python but on top of that there are packages for example in the previous video we talked about date and time and before that we talked about JSON and before that I guess we used OSN system so these are nothing but different packages so PIP is a package manager with which you can install even more packages and not just stay limited to the set of packages which we have discussed so far so today we are going to learn how to use BIP and after that how to while using how do you install a packet or how do you uninstall a packet? That's what we are going to try out today. But before doing that, the first thing that you need to do is install the PIP. On Mac OS, it is by default installed as a part of your OS, as far as I understand. But if I'm wrong, please drop a comment in the comment section so that I can correct this input necessary instruction for that. So if you're on Windows, you might be wondering, how do I get that? So for that, I've already done a little Google search, and with that you can, not a Google search, exactly, the DugGo search you can see over here, and I looked for it, how do I install the PIP Python, and you would find number of links, I believe out of which you can try Giggs for Giggs link, and in that you get full instructions on how to install. Because I don't have Windows, I'm not going to try that, we are going to try the Mac OS approach, and the commands would remain more or less same. So, step number one, like... is it even installed or not so for that there's a command called on macOS it is different and for the Windows it would be different so on macOS it's Python 3 minus mp IP version so with this we are executing the IP command and checking the version of the PIP that I have installed on my system in case if you are on Windows for you it would be PIP and space and then hyphen-i version with that you would be able to find out the exact version of PIP which is installed on your system so over here you can see that we have PIP 25.1.1 all right so with this we know that Python PIP meaning that a package manager is already installed on my system and what do we want to do the next thing that we want to do is install packages and for this example or for this exercise we are going to install a package called camel case Alright, so now that we have installed Camel case properly, this is how you can import it in your file. So in this example, we are going to import it over here. Of course, it's not going to work when you try to run it. So it is going to throw errors like this, that the module isn't found. So in order to get those modules appropriately, you have to select the interpreter. So for that, I will use Command, say, P, and then... select the command which is Python select interpreter and instead of having the interpreter from the operating system anywhere else I will use the one which is in dot VE and V which is like you know the packages which I have installed locally in this folder so with that now I should be able to run so if I run this there won't be any error at all so now that Camel case package is installed and imported I would be able to use it so let's say I'm writing text here hello expected output. Now, if I try running this, the output would be as expected, which you can see it converted first letter of each word to caps. So that's how we have used Camel case over here. So with this video, you understood how to install a package using PIP, how to update the interpreter, and use the one which is installed locally, which is... in case of macOS. For Windows, it's going to install globally, I guess. And with that, interpreter selected, you would be able to import the package which you have installed locally. And once you have imported it, you can start using the package, classes, functions, and whatnot. So yes, this is it for this video. Thank you so much for watching the video.
