@outwars: We already saw this in Amazon, and it seems Elon is using it as a blueprint on how to handle his companies. What I think is interesting is that Elon's companies are largely different from each other, but he is connecting them with technology; mostly AI and robotics. He's putting a lot of eggs into this, so it will be interesting to see the payoff.
