@andablackwidow: People prefer not losing over gaining. Especially when you get older and you already have something to lose while not much opportunities to gain back, you prefer safety of status quo over uncertain gains. Failure is also a default outcome. So much can go wrong. You might not keep the momentum needed to achieve your goal, your situation might change and you won't be able to focus on the task, your ideas might prove to be wrong, someone else might beat you to the finish line, your best staff might be run over by a bus (there is even related term), you might cross interest of someone powerful etc. "Just keep the head down and do your job." "There are people smarter than you, if they didn't do it, it most likely can't be done." "You are not in your twenties anymore, you have commitments." Thankfully there are people that don't know that something can't be done and do it. They push the world forward. There is probably a lot more those that fail miserably, but we don't hear about them, so they don't count :o)

@jfang003: The negativity is there and it's also the case with positivity. In any case, keeping your emotions in check and looking at the facts is the best way to go. Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
