@outwars: I think the availability of the processors and the costs will deter a lot of companies from trying to join the AI race. Unless more companies are able to produce the processors, I don't see it changing soon. Tesla really wanting to join the fray is a bold move. They are able to get in early and have some processors, so it might work out for them. As for other companies, I think they will be looking to partner with or use the AI of established companies.
