@outwars: I agree. No one buys the latest model of a smartphone just for the calculator. But funny enough, there are those that will just for clout. These new robots will have limited functionality; some I saw will just be used for greeting, answering questions, and guiding people to the right direction. The initial robot race are fought by those chasing clout. Being able to say that they are the first, or have most sold, etc. The big companies though are aiming higher towards solving problems for other big companies.
