First Context - A Quick Intro

Transcript

This is Meno. Meno is a thinking gate. It's a very smart Hiveyan, actually, and Web 2 content creator. This is his Twitter feed. This is his YouTube channel. This is his Hive blog. Now, in order to follow all of this content, I need to regularly visit these platforms and see what he's doing. We can change that with Web 3. So we can put all of his content into one feed. So across multiple platforms, you can add all of his content to one feed, which means you don't need to continuously visit all of these platforms in order to understand what Meno is talking about. So this is one of the solutions that first context brings. It has a signal inbox. Let me see if I can find Meno. There he is. That's his latest tweet one hour ago. It's actually a Hive blog, I believe. I can click into his profile. You see here it has as a source, his Twitter account, his YouTube account and his Hive account, all in one feed. Now if I scroll down here, you see mostly Hive, because that's where he's most active, but then there's a tweet, there's one of his recent tweets. Some more Hive stuff. Let's have a look at some more. There's another one of his tweets. This is a YouTube video he did three weeks ago. Another one here. Some more Hive things. So this is his content all in one feed. So this is really cool because it's going to save you a ton of time navigating all these platforms. You just come here within 5 or 10 minutes, you know exactly what Minot's talking about, and you don't have to really consume that much of his actual content. You can just read the descriptions. You can read the Signal Scout. Inputs, there's not Signal Scouts on everything just yet, but you can see there. This is a Signal Scout who is commenting about his tweet, so it's giving you context, why it's important. an important quote from the tweet. So you can start to consume content quite easily. So that's one side of this. So it's putting all people's content into one feed on a HiveBlockchain app. The second part of first context that's quite interesting is how you actually find a creator, how you add a creator. So you can go to the signal inbox. This is your main interface. It's got all the creators that I follow. in it already, so I can easily digest and consume content much quicker than I could before, if I happened to go and visit all of these platforms. And I can add a content creator, so let's add, for arguments sake, let me think, Fat Boy Slim, 70K, that's got to be the real Fat Boy Slim, I think. So we're going to click there. This will import his latest couple of videos. You can watch the video here. And then you click Add Thoughts on Chain. It's probably not any of these existing accounts. So I'm really not the same. That's his username on YouTube. That's the correct profile picture. So now I can go and say, uh, right here. Right, now, right. And when it's a new content creator, you have to add signal to the post as well. So I'm obviously not going to digest all of what's in this post just yet. So the idea is that you press play here and you watch the video. You understand what's in the video and you decide whether it's an original post, a repost, a reaction, a clip, news, remix, parody, or unclear. So you do original post in this case. It should be authentic because it's coming from his original... YouTube account. But if it's fake, then you can do edited clips, you can do unclear, right? So in this case, it's all AI synthetic. So I'm going to do authentic, and then how important is it? I think Fat Boslim's quite important. You'd watch the video, let's see what's in the video here. Okay, I don't really know. Well, I'm watching here, but, okay, let's do 10 seconds someone was walking on the ceiling. So, what is walking on the ceiling. What are my spelling? It's walking on the ceiling. Boy Slim is a cultural ocon from belates andes. And I just click patch and post on chain. I do confirm. And that now should, just in a couple of seconds, put that on chain. So there it is. I can go to view the content page. I can see there, there's my comment. There is my original signal, and I can click on the content creator, I can see all of his content in YouTube in this case. So this is how you bring content into the ecosystem. If I actually go to the blockchain, just refresh my comments, you can see here, it's structured, so Fat Boy Slim has a container post that has zero rewards. It's brought in by Starkers, which was the account that I bought the content in by. This is the link to the content itself, and this is the signal that I created around that content, and that is monetized. That is not monetized. It's just a link to the blog, but this is monetized, because this is the original content, basically. This is where the conversation starts. So this is a way you can easily bring content creators in to Hive. If I go to Return to Inbox. I should be able to see a Fat Boy Slim. There he is. One day ago, you posted that video. So now that content is in my feed. So I'm going to get Fat Boy Slim updates. So it makes it much easier for me to consume content. Yeah, it's in beta phase at the moment. We're looking for beta testers. Anyone that comes under beta testing will earn these early adopter credits as they progress through testing and crying out the different things and finding bugs and weaknesses. But there's a big roadmap for this project to come, and there's lots more exciting stuff to add on. But I just saw I'll give you a quick intro and show you what's happening. Thank you.
