@thebigsweed: It's a good thing you so enjoy what you do which most people may find hard to believe. But, working in the great outdoors takes the word work and puts a new meaning on it. We have yet to have a power outage this year which is unbelievable. About 8 months ago I notified NYSEG, which is our utility company, of a tree on our property that was dead and ready to come down. A guy from the power company came out and agreed with me, the 100 foot pine needed to be taken down, along with another half of a dozen trees that were within the 10 foot range from the wire. A month or so later another guy came out to assess the 1st dude's assessment. He also agreed with the first guy. A month after that I made a call to NYSEG, and waited over 45 minutes to speak to someone. They told me that a work order had been put in and gave me its number. Well, after 8 months of waiting a dude stopped by on Tuesday of this week and told me that a crew would be out within the next few weeks to finally remove the dead trees. It's a good thing we had a pretty mellow winter, no ice storms. The dead trees still stand and they should be removed very shortly.
