Sovraniche - How to Launch Your Hive Community Frontend with a Custom Domain (Zero Coding Required!)

Yeah, hello everyone. My name is Adesajiji, and today I want to show us a tutorial on how to set up your own standalone community or breakaway community. So we have built this platform for every hive community to be able to configure, you know, their own hive front end. We've made it so simple that anyone can come here and spin up their hive front end. So this is sovereign niche where every community is sovereign. So it is a niche for every community to display their sovereignty. So now I'm going to go straight into showing you how to set up your own front end. in a very simple way, without having to know how to code, without having to buy a VPS machine, without having to upload a build folder. So let me go straight to this one. Okay, this is a platform where we have built for you to come and spin up your own front end as a hive community. So now, we have two options here. The first option is configure your community. So in this configure your community, what you would do is you provide detailed information about your community, customize your community, and then once you're done, you will be able to spin up your own community and you have your own community frontend running, everything still connects to the Hive blockchain, your community still benefit from everything that are the Hive ecosystem has to offer you are still deeply connected to the Hive blockchain because the goal of it is Hive is sovereign and then every community becomes independent of a global front end becomes, you know, every community becomes their own front end and runs their own front end. So very quickly, let me show us what it looks like when I click on configure your community. So configuring your community brings you here. This is where you provide your domain URL. So that means you must have a domain URL. Then this is where you provide your community ID. Then you provide the name you want to name your community, the name you want to show on the front end at this nav bar for everyone you provide it here. Then you can pick a primary color for your community as well. And you can also provide a logo URL for your community. but if you do not provide a logo URL, the system automatically uses the logo URL of the community image on high blockchain. So let me go back here and show you another thing. So here you can download a zip folder and the zip folder contains the build folder, or sorry, you can download a zip file and the zip file contains the build folder when you unzip it, it is the zip folder of our code base. So you can upload out to a VPS machine or upload it to maybe your vassel or wherever you choose to you know to host your website and then it automatically when you point your domain to that build folder it automatically loads the content of the build folder which is what we have here already this is an example of you know a breakaway community configured for configured with a build folder this is an example of it so Very quickly, let me just continue to show you what you need to do to set up your community. So when you come here, go to configure community. Now, you need to provide us some detailed information about your community. But first of all, we need a domain. Your community must first have a domain if you want to run your own front end. So what I would do is let's come to NameChip. Name Chip. So let's just go straight to domain and make sure that on your dashboard on name chip, you've already topped some money on dashboard. I have about $3.8 here, so I don't need to top up because I'm going to look for a very cheap domain to buy in order to just show this example. So straight go to domain name search. I haven't thought about the name yet, but we're just going to be using a test name. A test name that will not cost us really much. So this is loading. let's wait for the network to load it correct. Let's take a couple of minutes for my internet to load correctly. Yeah, so my internet loads. So now I'm just going to pick a name, let me say, test hive. Hopefully this is available. I'm having a very poor internet right now, but it still works regardless of the internet. The most important thing is, for our configuration to work and our community setup once it works so the internet is not much of a big deal. It will only make my video a bit longer, even though I didn't plan for that. Test Hive, test Hive, test Hive. Load, load, load. Oh, this is interesting, this is about 1 ,400. So Hive Breakaway.com. Let's just go to manage domain. So just leave this as NameChip, Basic DNS. So we are going to be doing some interesting thing here. Don't see it as complex. It is not so complex. Just follow the prompt. It works the same for everyone as long as you follow this same process I'm taking. So Name Chip. Basic DNS, leave it as that. What you do is go to Advanced DNS. Advanced DNS. So before this loads, let's just do something. Let me copy this domain, and let's see what our website looks like at the moment. So let me paste this. Nothing happens. See, nothing happens when I come here. So let me come back here. Advanced DNS is loading. So now here is where we're going to be adding our configuration. So but then for our community setup, we are going to go back to this website. So here we'll enter our domain since we got a domain name, we got highbreakaway. site. Then let's choose, I'm just going to choose a random community. I will choose a random community here. Let me, let me just, for the sake of test. Let me pick Hive Photography. Then here is the community ID. So come back here, provide the community ID. Then the name, let me just say, what was the name of our domain? Hive Brick. Let me say Hive Brick. So the next thing is save and configure. I'm going to save and configure, and it will generate for us our C name and our TXT, which is our proof of domain ownership. So let's continue and wait for the network to load the C name and our TXT variables. So now here is the C name. So what you're going to be doing is, is it's a point to your domain C name. So you will copy this. Nose.Sverance.com. You copy this. Now go back to Namechip. then add a new record, add a C -name record, then add a host, you're just going to be putting at, then the target would be nodes of sovereignty.com, then you're going to be adding a new record, and that new record is your TXT record. So you'll come here again, the TXT record, the TXT record, the CF custom this that we have here. Maybe I'm just going to make this also copyable so you can just click an icon to copy it. So you come back to Name Chip, paste it there, let's confirm it's correct, slash OK underscore C name. Then we are going to be coming back here, copy the value to Name Chip, paste it here, paste it, then Add a new record, you're also adding another TXC record. Come here. So this, you're copying this. I'll make this also copyable so that you don't have to select to copy, you just have to copy and paste. Then paste it here, Acme Challenge, then come here, come back here, copy this value, paste it here, paste it here, paste it, then we are just going to be saving all changes. Save, save. So now, one thing you need to know is, if we come to our website right now, it might not load correctly because it takes a while for domain to propagate. Yeah, so it's propagating, so in a couple of minutes, maybe we should wait. Sometimes it takes up to 48 hours, but if it's propagating, it might sometimes take less than 10 minutes. but most times it is advisable for you to know that it might take up to 48 hours so that you are not unnecessarily bothered. So we are just going to be waiting. Let's come back here. I know this says visit your website and nothing happens now when we visit our website. So we are just going to be waiting for the propagation. So I had to stop the video and after the long wait, our domain is properly... as fully propagated.
