I'm surprised, and if you to go well, a me go better, me go better, me it's sitting the Golden State Warriors and forward. Welcome to 2K Sports, we have the NBA coming up. Great to have you with us. For approaching the train deadline, GA, how do teams decide if they're a bite? It comes down to goal in really your timeline. Some teams make deals to try to push them over the top this season. Others might find the player they love and trade for him with the future in mind. And now the Golden State Warriors starters. The championship core of the Warriors is out there. Curry and tops in the backcourt with Green working at Power pole. Looney out there with Gary Payton the second. Down low, Curry. Lead bass was put in just the right spot. How do you stop Curry? Well, in a short answer, you can't. And Schroeder's got the ball here for Brooklyn. Fires from the line, frame with the rebound. On the wing, Peyton. Golden State moving it around. Shoots, that one a tad off line to the right, but drops in for him. The way that Curry reads the floor, he could get double-digit assist on any night if you wanted to. It shrewped with the drop. It puts the D in a tough spot when you have a point guard, who can throw it down. He really does, GA. He really does put pressure on it. Yeah, hard to strategize for a guy who can make a pass or a play like this right in your face. Where he finds Peyton. Now, Looney. Thompson for three, buries the long-range jumper. And this is Thompson shot, one of the most gifted outside shooter, the NBA, the world has ever seen. And despite the Kady Kyrie era fizzling out, Richard, you saw this firsthand. Brooklyn proved they are a destination franchise. Yeah, just getting KD and getting Kyrie to sign was a win for the Nets. It proved that All-Stars will go to Brooklyn. Now it's about finding the right stars. And it's Fritter missing. Brooklyn Nets come into this one, following a loss to the 76ers in Philadelphia. Here's Green, that's in, coming off the assist from Thompson. Green's got his second bucket of the night. Just won't be denied, Draymond's inside game a strength. Johnson surveying the floor, past a Claxton. And he dumps it down. A power flush with a long hang on the rim. At the end of that? You know, that could be a catalyst for him. It really could. Outside Curry. Thompson outside. They kick it out to Green, three-pointer, and another three for Golden State. Yeah, Green knows he has to act fast, so he was no time finding the shot. Shrewder against Kurt. Quarter. Here's Schroeder, defense right on him. Shock up to them. Just a technical lead pass right there, putting it right where it needed to be. And here's Curry, who brings it up for Golden State. Here's Thompson. Fowled in the active shooting, gets the bucket anyway, so a three-point play chance for him. This is as good as it gets. for first quarter in terms of shooting the basketball. Brooklyn making some changes. Dorian Finney Smith's checked in for Mikhail Bridges, and it's Ben Simmons in for Dennis Shrewden. And when healthy, Clay remains a dynamic player, lights outscorer who often defends well. How here's Simmons, guarded closer, passes it to finish Smith. Johnson with it. covered by Peyton. Outside Thomas, it's up a three, and it's Looney with the rebound, and it's the Warriors ball. They're on a 15-6 run, and that one is good. Green's got nine points. Their play on both ends has been superb. We'll see if they can maintain the momentum. They came out and bum-rushed them. Huge difference in activity level from both teams tonight. And the Nets decide to take their first time out here. Time to make some noise, Nets fans. It's here they come back on the floor. Your Brooklyn Nets, Key, hype. And Brook them are making a change. The Choppers checked in, and the Warriors making a change here. trailed by 11. We've got 108 left to play in the first quarter. Oh, the lob for Simmons, an authentic L -U-Jam! And how about the connection Simmons has with his guys? Once the lob is on its way, you know he's going to finish and stop. Here's Pajemski. He's averaging a bit over five points a game. How many times have we seen a possession like that from them today? Ending with a basket coming off a pretty pass. Simmons passes to Thomas. Back to Simmons. Almost, but it rolls out. Warriors leading by 12. Shot from 16, and it's Golden State with another. Defensively, giving a bar too many open rhythm look. For Brooklyn, they've gone four for nine from the field, is right this game off. There's the past to Claxton. Back to Simmons. Nice ball boomered by Brooklyn. A shot's good by Walker. I love the selfless approach. Simmons is all for feeding every teammate. And the Warriors decide to take their first time out here. They are coming off that win against Atlanta. Their long-range artillery hit the mark. than not, a great equalizer when you're on the road. And you talk to coach around the league, and they'll tell you, sometimes the ball just goes in. It's as simple as that. Some changes for Brooklyn. Sharf checked in for Nicholas Claxton. Bridges comes in for Lonnie Walker, and Smith subbed in for Cameron Town. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry's checked in, but Jemski's shot is good. I like their focus coming in terrific execution so far. Couldn't come up with a much better start than this. They just have to keep it going. Just four seconds left to play in the first. Smith for three. No good on the last second attempt there. And after just one quarter of play, a double digit differential on the scoreboard. And welcome back to the second quarter of action. Plenty of basketball left to play, but this one has been one-sided so far. And let's take a moment, guys, to get your take on the scoring so far for the Warriors. So far, they haven't had to force anything. They're swinging the ball around and turning good passing into points. And in addition, the three-point shooting has been dialed in tonight. They've seen boys for a big game from deep. So with Thompson sitting on the bench, here's the group that Steve Kerr has on the floor. Andrew Wiggins is out there with Harris. Then there's Stefan Curry. And it's Jackson Davis in at the five spot. Count that one. Jackson Davis has got the opening field goal, the second quarter for the Warriors. Smith against Curry. And it's slammed in by Bridges. Getting some airtime. Okay, Bridges, we see you. Warriors leading by 13. And while we see a number of players get hurt during the season, Richard McKell Bridges has remained very durable. He's just an old-school player. That's what they used to do. If you were healthy, you played in every single game, and he's found ways to stay healthy. Inside, and stolen by Harris. On the Wang Wiggins. There's the triple, and another three for Golden State. We all know Wiggins has put a lot of work into his three ball, and you see the results there. Smith against Curry. Here's Finney Smith, tried to come right back with the three of his own. It's no good. Pass to Jackson Davis, and here's Harris from the Ark for rebound by the net. and close to making the defense pay for the lax coverage that time. Smith outside, back to Bridges. Over current. Bank shot, no good. Warriors leading by 16. Fires it up. Simmons pulls it in. Not that time, but that's a shot that he's going to make more often times than not. Smith, no luck. The Warriors have gone two of five from the field here in the second quarter, shooting 40%. Here's Pajemski. At balls, ice feed that time from Wiggin. Pajemskys got five now. D was too focused on Wigin's scoring easy gift to his team. Withlim, making some changes. Nicholas Claxton's checked in for Sharp. Johnson comes in for Dorian Fini Smith, and Dennis Schroeder subbed in for Dennis Smith. A chance here to get a quick injury report. Now, for an update on Clay Thompson's injury. Let's go to David Alder. Thanks, Kevin. I just talked with the Warriors' head athletic trainer, and this is an unfortunate injury, and potentially devastating for them. This injury could be devastating for them. This is a team that had title hopes, Kevin, and this is not what they need. Thanks for the status report there, David. At least we now know, Greg, how he's doing. Yeah, when you talk injury, the unknown factor is always a difficult thing to deal with. And you never want to speculate. So it's nice for us, and especially his teammates, to get some fat. What is the play? Second floor to green. Peyton kicks to green. No good with the triple. That's Trailby 17. Shruder looking over the floor. RJ, I've got a hypothetical for you. If we did a fantasy drive, and you had the first overall pick, who would you take? I'm going to be honest right now. I'm gonna have to probably say Yokic, just because there's no defense that has been created that can stop his offensive game. So ultimately, it doesn't matter how good of a defender he is. But second, I'm still going with Bron. A moment now to hear from our sideline reporter, Hall of Famer, David Alderman. David. Thank you, Kevin. Now, one of the toughest things NBA referees are asked the judge are carrying violations. The ball comes to rest at mid-dribble. Warriors, Coach Steve Kerr says they've been doing it ever... Since Alan Iverson convinced the referees that it wasn't a carry. It is a carry, but the whole league's been doing it. Kevin? Yeah, you're right. We've seen it. David, thanks. The net's making a switch here. Thomas is checked in, but Jemsky's shot is good. The team-first mentality of Thompson. When someone on his squad is open, he finds them. To the middle, and he stops it. What a pass to set him up. I tell you, he's playing the game with pure excitement right now. He kept off that dunk with some serious hang time on the rim. Three-pointer, Peyton. That doesn't go when he's 0-1 from the field. That's 3rd by 16. That's to Claxton. Addish now to Thomas. Back to Claxton. In the corner, it's Bridges. Down to five on the shot clock. Offensive rebound. Outside for Thomas. Truder up top. 11 points for him in that last game against the 76ers in Philadelphia. And there really was a physical aspect of this performance that was off the charts. He was taking it right at him, and he just kept getting those calls and getting to the line. Thompson for the triple. And so it's the Golden State Warriors, with a 14-point lead as we bring the quarter to a close. Thank you, David, and we'll be right back after halftime to start the third quarter. See you in just a bit. Half-time in- With Lopez, they get a vet who can impact the game both into the floor. And offensively, he can hurt you in the low post and from beyond the heart. Can I- And back to the match -up at hand, everything has been going smoothly for the Warriors. For them, it's- Thanks for joining us. And as we dive into the second half, we'll find out if the next two quarters are any different from the first two. So far, it has been a runaway. One of the stories here at Raymond Green, getting it done today. And how about the amount he's contributing in the scoring column through two quarters, he has been terrific. He always wants to be a go-to guy for them. I'm sure he'll be calling for the ball even more in this half. The forward spots will be Bridges and Johnson. Dennis Schroeder is out there with Thomas, and it's Claxton in at the 5 down low. So that's the lineup for Brooklyn. Bridges outside. Finger kicks to Johnson. For three, Bridges. It's rebounded by Peyton. So Peyton will bring it up for Golden State. And RJ, with Gary Payton second, he has one of the most inspiring success stories in our league. Undrafted in 2016, he's been five years grinding in the G-Leet, but he finally broke through in 2022. His defense was a major factor for the Warriors Championship. Sinks the three-pointer. How about doing? From long range, just going at each other. Take that, he says, I see your three, and I'll raise you another three. Outside for Curry. On the wing, Green, lets it go with the three. And there's Stephen Curry on the assist by Green. Curry's got 10 points. And they're getting their points now almost exclusively from the triple. Four of their last five makes are from beyond the art. Timeout called the Nets. contest is really interesting this year. Every one of these guys is capable of going lights out in a setting like that. Yeah, the field is almost set, and I wouldn't want to have to make a prediction. These are all fantastic shooters. It's just a matter of who gets hot on that day. You take a look at Thompson, and it's him all alone atop the voting. It's pretty much a done deal that he'll be shown off his warm-range skills in the three-point contest. Yep, and he's going to be scary to have to go up against if he's on that day. Nobody can shoot it like he can when he gets in a group. And the excitement for this year's three-point contest keeps growing as we get closer to All-Star weekend. Some amazing shooters in line to take part. Hard to pick a winner out of that group of contenders, but safe to say it's going to be a lot of fun to watch. Yeah, this looks like a pregame shoot-around with all the threes they're allowed. Your passes to Claxton. Second half of play with just under two and a half minutes gone. And it slammed in by Bridgwoods. The finish was nice, but the setup was better. Yeah, G8, the pick working to full effect before the stuff. Yeah, you like the pick to set up the open shot. But when it leads to a dozen. Okay, even better, he'll take it. Shrewder against Curry. Now here's Shruder, tight defense on him. And it's bridges at the elbow. Brooklyn needs to get off a shot here. Near the three-point line, it's Thomas Warriors with the rebound. They're not allowing the shooter. even an inch of breathing room on that one. I'm sure they'll think twice about shooting against him next time. The Warriors shooting their second and third free throws tonight, and the first one at the line is good. Such a great guy to have on the team, and an amazing defender. Green even led the league in steals one year. Simmons checked in for Bridges. Brooklyn's gone one of two from beyond the arc since coming out of the break, airs Claston, and he pings it home with one hand. and throwing it down with the one hand. One of his favorite moves right there, guys. Tobias Harris has checked in for Green. A moment now to look at the year -to-year scoring output and how it has been trending for McKell Bridges. And one thing that has been very consistent for him the last few years, his ability to continue to deliver more and more offense. He's been doing everything that's been asked of it. Back to Curry. Some nice passing by Golden State here. Trains it from beyond the arm. Thompson's got 11. And those aren't the type of three-point opportunities that you can allow in the NBA. Schroeder dishes to Simmons. Back to Schrooter. Outside for Simmons. And it's off from three-point range. Curry, pass it to Looney. In the corner, it's Harris. Out to Peyton. On the wing, Harris. That's in, coming off an assist from Peyton. Peyton's got four assists in the game. They've given up a lot of three-pointers here today. Outside Simmons. And then Simmons slams it in. You can't let Simmons get going off of these dunks. His confidence just soars when he slams it down like there. Nice job capturing the moments on the AT &T 5G slam cam. There is up top. He has six. Three-pointer, Peyton. Simmons pulls it in. And so Simmons will bring it up for Brooklyn. Following this one, they get to host the Mavericks. That'll be the second game of a five -game home stand. And that one goes out of bounds, last touch by Simmons. A classic breakdown with the ball, sending it right out of bounds and giving the defense a freebie. A big group substitution here for Brooklyn. Sharks checked in for Nicholas Claxton. Dory and Finney Smith comes in for Johnson. Bridges, he's checked in for Cameron Thomas, and Smith subbed in for Dennis Schroeder. Oh, great ball movement there. The nets have gone five of nine on field goal attempts since halftime. One second separating the shot clock in game plan. Simmons against Thompson. Simmons looking around. Just find the shoot. From outside the art. No good on that one. What a performance for Traymond Green. He has been the story for the Golden State Warriors. And now let's go back to a play from earlier as we show you our State Farm assist of the game. Yeah, an easy choice tonight. Look at the precision on this pass. Put it on a platter form. You've got to admire the vision just as much as the accuracy. Not many players can even spot that pass. And there have been two very different performances from these teams today as we get going in quarter number four. So with Curry sitting on the bench, here's the group that Steve Kerr has on the floor. They've got Moody. Harris is out there with Wiggins. And it's Jackson Davis in at the center, locking down the middle. And that's 10 straight points in the pain. The defense, nowhere to be found. Harris passes to Wiggins. Harris outside, pass to Jackson Davis. And it's out about. The Nets will take it the other way. Charge checked in for the Warriors. Number 20, Donna Sharge. Simmons with it. And Richard, with this new collective bargaining agreement, the players will now be able to invest in NBA team. A chance for them to capitalize on skyrocketing franchise valuations. I love it. And it's a big deal. The NBA is the first league to allow player a best. Always ahead of the pack. Just a solid performance on the interior. The rebounding has been off the chart. Kicks it to Harris. And he drops in the way up off the glass. You gotta love Harris' motor. He doesn't hold back when he goes to score. And for Brooklyn, they're shooting 51% from the field. They'll take that. Bridges outside. A basket good off the assist from Simmons. Bridges has got nine points now in just the second half. drives in, and it's Wiggins with the jam. I'm telling you, when Wiggins takes off, you better buckle those seatbelts. And a foul on, and for Wiggins. That's his first five, and a new group in for the next. Nicholas Claxton's checked in for Sharp. Johnson comes in for Dorian Finney Smith. Cameron Thomas, he's checked in for Ben Simmons, and Dennis Reuter subbed in for Smith. Martin, he's checked in for Golden State. Johnson, cool. Look at the release from Johnson, getting that shot off before the defenders can close out. Takes it inside, Wiggins from outside. It's hauled in by Claxton. Claxton's got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. Schrooter outside. And the call on the shot that sends him to the line. And one thing about Cam Johnson, his shooting mechanics are he... We already know that he shoots a high percentage from three, but he also has the height to shoot over people from out there, and that adds to the confidence. Moody's checked in for Mark, and Johnson drops them both. All right, Richard, with the game on the one, which current player would you choose taking the last shot? You can't go wrong with Dain time. KD. is up there, too, because he can get his shot off from anywhere. But you give me one shot, I'm gonna say Clay Thompson. For those just joining us, fourth quarter here, we're just over two and a half minutes into it. Rich's misses. Warriors have gone an outstanding 4-5 from the field in the fourth quarter so far. He just bangs down the one-handed. Two very easy points right here. And Schroeder's got the ball here for the Brooklyn Nets. On the way, Bridges, the Basta Claxton. They set the pick. Here's Thomas, and again, it's the Nets missing. The Warriors have gone five of six from the field to start the fourth quarter on a roll. And there are the Warriors now with another bucket. Love to see him inside passing like this, as well as guys being on the same page. Kick by Bridges to the paint. The shot's good, and the assist by Schrooter. Schroeder's got assist number five here…
