Greetings, and on my feet, yeah, I don't know feet, I don't know key. Greetings, folks, thanks for... And here we can check out the story for Luca Donchich. And he's been outstanding offensively as of late. These last five games, he's been a beast at the offense event. A different level score than he had been earlier in the season. Let's see if he can keep it up. Looking at the starting five for the Dallas Mavericks. Luca and Kyrie are the talented backcourt. Daniel Gafford is out there with PJ Washington, and it's Exum in at the small forward position. And for the Warriors, the core of the Warriors dynasty on the floor. Curry and Clay is the guards with Draymond at the fore. Andrew Wiggins is out there with Kavan Looney. Hey, this should be a fun matchup, Grant, two of the premier teams in this league. And talk about Star Power. I mean, that's a big reason these squads are at the top. You know, both sides have the elite talent that they can rely on when the going gets a little tough. Here's Curry. That one off the back ironed it out. And here's Donchich. He'll bring it up for the Dallas Mavericks. It's a three-point game. Ooh, took him no time at all to get that one. Well, Luca not forcing his way inside, just taking that mid-range shot because that's what the defense offered up to him. Outside, green. Nails it from beyond the arc. He's consistent from out there, especially when you give him that kind of room. Here's Dauchich. What a tremendous game he played against the Lakers. Gafford up top, pass to Washington. Clock at six. From about 19. Looney grabs a miss. Coaches loathe empty possessions. You gotta be able to hit the easy ones. One thing you can count on with this Mavericks team, they shoot threes. All night long, if he let them. I mean, near the top of the league for attempts beyond the arc. They do it every chance they can get. Now here's Dauchich. Wing shot on the way. Irving, no good. Listen, he knows he should have made that shot. We'll see if they can work it back to him in that same area. And the ball out of play, the Mavericks will have it. And the one thing all of these point guards have in common is their ability to shoot from the ark. Let's see who topped the charts for threes this past month. Third is Luca Donchich. And over the years, we have really seen the point guard position evolve. Give these guys a whole bunch of credit. I mean, what a great group of long -range shooters. You know, and having that element of long -range shooting ability, it makes them a tough puzzle for defenders to solve. You know, it's an invaluable asset for point guard, and these players have it in a big-time way. Now here's Dowich. Back to Irving. 11 feet out. Dallas, no good that time either. And he's having an ugly quarter from the field. It seems really frustrated. Right side curry. And it's all tied up. I think you pay the consequences if you leave Draymond Green's teammates open. He has a knack on getting the basketball where it needs to be. Now a timeout called by Dallas. First quarter of basketball, just over two and a half minutes played so far. Donchich against Curry. And he got the whistle on the way up, so he'll be headed to the line for a pair. That one belongs to Wiggins. The understated part of Luca Donchich's game is strength. He is going to draw contact and usually make it. First free throw is good. That one falls, so he hits both of them. This is about the last guy you want to send to the stripe right now. They keep fouling him, and he keeps making them. Looney passes to Green. Count it from distance. Green's got six. Well, you have to respect how aggressive Draymond Green is. He's got the ball in his hands. He's ready to fire. Donchich outside. Gafford with a screen on Curry. Back to Gafford. by Gafford. You could just see how in sync they were there. That's what it takes to pull that off. Green with the ball. Gafford picks him up. And here's Thompson for three. And that comes off the assist by Green. Green's got three assists tonight. How about Clay Thompson, a career average of north of 40%. You better get a hand up when he's in three-point territory. The ideal pass for that situation. Great instincts. The Warriors have gone five of eight, solid opening quarter for them. Pass to Green, it's Wiggins on the wing. The kickout, Curry. Green for three, knocks down the triple. Nine points in the game. 102 left in the opening quarter. Curry against Donchich. Irving, the pass to Donchich, Washington outside. Here's Ex-em, and he can't answer back. The three-pointer offline. Here's Golden State. They're on a 14-6 run. Wiggins finds green. No good from outside. And you just can't afford to give up that kind of look very often. From deep, here's Donchich. Knocks down the long, Jay. Very rarely do you see Donchich out of rhythm with his jump shots, even off the dribble. His accuracy is too good. The three from Thompson buries it from three. That's how you up the ante. Come right back at him. And you would expect nothing less from these two, taking pride and making plays. Irving fires from way outside. He's tried to come right back with the three of his own, but it's no good. Pastiluni, there's the triple. The shot misses. Draymond Green has been on display for the Golden State Warriors, hitting three trays in the quarter, providing some sharp... Some good action already in this one, but a fairly even matchup after this first quarter of play. And a look at how the offensive approach has been going so far for the Warriors. Well, we're in the era of the three -point basket. So if you want to win games in this league, you have to connect from deep, and they have been thus far. Yeah, and in addition, their ball movement has really unleashed their offense. Boy, they've been fun to watch. On the court for Dallas here in the second, Luca and Kyrie are the talented back court. Josh Green out there with Maxie Kleba, and it's lively, in at the five, roaming the paint. But Jemsky's shot as good. All five of the last buckets they've given up have been from downtown. And so it's Dach with it, he brings it up for the maps, trailing by four, lets it go from deep. Offensive board, lively, and the layup falls. Lively's got four points now in the quarter. Second chance points are always painful. Have to make the effort to box out. No doubt those extra possessions can really add up against you, and you do not take care of the defensive glass. That's been typical of their performance today. They're sharing the ball and creating good shots. And that's a foul called on Stefan Curry. That's his first foul of the game. Garuba's checked in for Sharich. Now into the line up for your warriors. Number seven. Second quarter, and we're just over a minute in. Pass to Kleba. Donchich, outside. From deep. And there's green on the assist from Donchich. Boy, the extraordinary playmaking instincts of Luca Donchitz on display right there. And the Warriors make some changes. Looney comes in for Garuba, and it's Andrew Wiggins in for Peyton. Give it up one more time. We're Warrior. Now Looney, three-pointer. It's hauled in by Luca Donchich. Fires for three. The shot that time, not on target. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. You just missed it. The three from Curry, easy money for Stefan Curry. Now that we've had a few years of reference stores. How do you think the play in tournament has fared so far? VA, a successful addition, there's no doubt about it. It's involved more teams for more competitive basketball for longer stretches of the season. That's exactly what you hope for. Lively with the bucket. Well, a tough first quarter for this guy. You like to see the shot go in, nicely done. The Warriors have gone three of five since the beginning of the second. Here's Curry. Mavericks with a rebound. They beat the Warriors during their last encounter in San Francisco. Oh my, talk about mental toughness. The crowd was roaring against them. They were able to focus and finish the task at hand. I thought what really stood out was how dominant they were on the offensive end. That was about as flawless as you could hope for. Now here's Irving. He's guarded closely. From deep, here's Dach. Connects from downtown. Donchich just got 10. Wow, quick trigger from Luca, ready on the catch to release and fire. Harris passes to Looney. Here's Potimski. And again, no good by Golden State. And let's send it over to Allie LaForce. After the trade for Kyraving, the Maverick's offense went to another level. Coach Jason Kitt said, quote, we're still going to preach defense, but on the offense event, there's going to be nights where we're scoring 130 or 140. Kai gives us another weapon. Someone is going to be free. Someone is going to have the advantage. Brian. Oh, nice stuff. Thank you, Allie. Green's checked in for the Warriors. Thompson comes in for Stefan Curry. Thompson outside. On the wing, Green. A shot to stop the run. Green, able to hit from Green. You can tell the competitive juices are flowing right now because Dremont Green. is on a roll. Here's Washington, and Washington powers it through. There is an imagination of creativity. This guy's passing, drives the offense. Outside for Green, launches it. Gaffert grabs the miss. The Mavericks leading. And there is the whistle. That's his first foul of the game. The Mavericks, making a switch here. Irving's checked in. Now, Donchich, he's got 12. Over Looney, kicks it to Donchich. Washington, a screen. Here's the three, and it's Donchich missing. It's been an ugly quarter from him. Trying to shoot his way out of it. It might be time to work on the playmaking skills. Thompson outside. No good with the triple. For Dallas, they've gone 6 of 11 here in the second quarter. And he drives in. Here's Exum. Outside for Irving, jacks up a three, and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Looney's got six rebounds in the game. The three from Thompson, and that one's good, and bringing with the assist. Thompson's got 11 points. This guy has been a catalyst for them all game long. What a job leading them to this lead. You kind of wonder where his head's at. The shot selection hasn't been there, and of course that one was just crazy. The Jemsky's shot is good. That's where the threat of being a great score from Clay Thompson allows a teammate to get wide open. Outside Irving, three-pointer, drains the triple. Irving's gotten his third basket of the night. What a terrific play by just a tremendous all-around player. This guy makes it move easy. It's a tie game in San Francisco, and we'll be right back after halftime for the start of the third quarter. See you in just a bit. The offense has been playing as one. They check the hero ball at the door and big assist totals. Just keep doing what you're doing, guys. Moving on to our next topic, All-Star. That does it for halftime. Let's get back. half of basketball is upon us and we may be in for an exciting finish based on how close of a game we've seen so far. Boy, one guy who's getting it done is Draymond Green. Through the first two quarters, he's been on fire, explosive offensive performance. Boy, he has been shouldering the load, aggressive, skill, talented, and thus far, unstoppable. The core of the Warriors Dynasty on the floor. Curry and Clay is the guards with Draymond at the fore. Kvon Looney is out there with Andrew Wiggins. That's the Warriors 5. Donchich outside. Puts it up from 12, and he gets the jumper to drop. He's got 14. Boy, yet another night for Luca Dantritch. This guy is forcing everyone to play at his pace right now. Past the Looney. Back to Curry. Now here's Wiggins. Outside Curry, the three is up. That shot, off the mark. Dallas is shooting around 50% of the game so far. Donchich against Curry. A good look from Donchich. And good. Coming on the assist by Irving. Irving's got his third assist of the night. You see the offensive force that is Kyrie Irving. Sometimes it's a scoring right there, it's just passing. Green, the pass to Looney. The three from Thompson, Mavericks with a rebound. This has been a close game in a lot of ways, but they do have an edge on the boards. Again, Dallas. They are passing the ball around tremendously right now. Here's Curry, he's got five. Out of bounds, it'll be Mavericks Ball, and a good opportunity to bring up this season's top assistman. Second, Luca Donchich. He has a great eye for where to send the ball, and you know his teammates love playing with an unselfish guy like him. Right now, firing on all cylinders. Yeah, there's a nice flow to this office right now. Irving for three. Rebounded by Green. Green's got a rebound number five here tonight. You know, miss that one, but still a really good start coming off the break, three for four now. And the shot goes in. Wiggins got a second bucket on the night. Well, right now, Andrew Wiggins' understanding in the catch and shoot, they can't guard them. Outside Irving. Back to Donchich, to the inside. And the dunk by Gafford. The beautiful setup on the Alley, U. Great catch, great flush. Time called here. The Warriors decide to talk it over. And the Warriors making a switch here. Harris has checked in. Ham Curry's got the ball here for Golden State. Four-point game. They host the Hawks after this one. It'll be game number two in their five -game homestead. And up the court they come, the Mavericks on the break. They get it again. Ooh, rejected by Harris, the sneaky 6-8. Harris putting his link to use. That's the shot they wanted. It just didn't fall. I think expect them to go back to it, because that's the kind of shot this offense is designed to generate. And that's a foul called on PJ Washington. That's his first foul. Such a reliable threat from range. You think the defense might key on him a little bit more. The Warriors have gone two of five in this third quarter. Here's Thompson. That drops, and it comes off an assist from Curry. Curry's got three assists now in this one. Clay Thompson can be one of the most lethal scores in the league. It happens quick with this guy. Ducked away. Curry with it. Irving picks him up. Thompson passes to Harris, lays it up and banks it in. Assertive move. You can tell the gains heating up a bit. Now a timeout called by Dallas. Kleba, he's checked in for the Mavericks. Green comes in for Kyrie Irving and taking a broader look here at the year-over -year scoring trend for Tobias Harris. And the scoring trend over the last few years has been going down a bit. That's not what you want, and I'm sure it's something he's well aware of. And from the sideline, let's catch up with Ali. Josh Green is becoming a key 3- &D wing in Dallas. Mavs legend Dirk Kovitsky said, quote, he's a great defender already. He's athletic, he plays super, super hard, and now he added a three-pointer to his game. Obviously, that's one thing he needed to get better at. He puts in a lot of work, Brian. Well, you can see it. It is absolutely paid off. Thanks, Allie. For the time. hits the three-pointer. Harris has got five. No, Stephanie Curry, obviously, an excellent distributor. He loves to make his teammates feel good. 107 left in the third. Gafford against Harris. On the wing, Thompson. Pass to Wiggins. Back to Thompson, the kickout. Curry. It's Wiggins on the wing. pocket no good. Yeah, no, he usually makes you pay from that range. Donchich finds green. Oh, that one's off. Still out of sync. The three from Thompson, it's rebounded by Dallas. Donchich has got five rebounds tonight. Harris with the rebound. Golden State has gone just 1-5 from 3-point range here in the third quarter. For the lead. Curry's shot is off. Here's Donchich. Luca, proving it can score from anywhere. If you allow Luca to establish position because of his size, his strength, his footwork, turn the lights out. Oh, what a performance by Luca Donchich. He has been the story for Dallas. And a worthy candidate tonight as we take a look at our State Farm assist of the game. Yeah, just shredding the defense with that feat. Zero chance to stop that. Well, that's what a great pass will do, right? You love the unselfish play. And it's been a very competitive game so far as we get rolling here in quarter number four. On the floor for Dallas starting the fourth quarter, Derek Jones is out there with Washington. Then it's Luca Donchich, then there's Josh Green, and it's lively, in at the 5. No good on the second free throw. The Warriors trailing. That drops, and it comes off an assist from Curry. Well, Scott and Curry knows it's his responsibility to create for his teammates, and he does so there on point. Pass to Washington, takes the three, sends it home from three-point land. Both teams are starting to find a rhythm here. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities. Curry finds charge. Let's go with a three. Peyton, no good. Well, the Mavericks shooting at a respectable 49 % Jones from outside. It's rebounded by Golden State. Outside Peyton. A few possessions into the fourth, just over a minute play. And it's Jones with a ball for Dallas. Three-point lead. Green against Curry. And it's hammered home by Green. It's so sick. The vertical ability. That was flat out awesome. He has that effortless neck for getting to the hoop. And the Warriors miss again. For Dallas, they've gone two of three to open the fourth quarter. Tries it from 16. Donchich, good. And now it's a seven-point Dallas lead. Look at Donchich's offensive game just so pure, folks. Golden State calls timeout. The Mavericks making a switch here. Let's check in with our reporter, Ali LaForce. I was able to listen in on what Steve Kerr had to say to the team. And a big reason their team is down, the three-point line. Coach saying in the huddle, we have to battle on the perimeter. They're out playing us from the arc. Guys, thanks for that, Allie. Allie, all right, time for an injury report. And now, Ali LaForce has an update on Kyrie Irving. What do you have, Ali? Guys, I was able to catch up with Dallas's head athletic trainer. They've concluded it's a pinched nerve in the neck, causing a pins and needles type of feeling in the arm. And for a team with eyes on the championship, This injury could have serious implications, and we'll see how it affects them. Okay, thanks for the update. Good to get that information. Now we know how things are coming along, Grant. That's true. It's the uncertainty factor with injuries that can be so hard to handle. There's no question, because even if you know what's wrong, individuals have different healing times. The timeframes can be totally different for similar injuries. To the middle. Busting it up inside. Because of his size of the position, inside the painted area, Clay Thompson is a real threat. Here's Exum. Donchich, outside. 4-3. Looney grabs a miss. Looney's got eight rebounds in the game. Outside Curry. And Curry with the take. Man, that one's good. And Green with the assist. and that'll tie this game up. Boy, a monster bucket, yet again from Step Curry knew they had to get something from that possession, and you knew he'd delivered. Irving's checked in for Washington. Time called here, the Mavericks decide to talk it over. Here's Donchich. We've got 155 left to play in the fourth quarter of this one. Tries again, rebounded by Green. Green's got rebound number seven tonight. gotten four of nine shots to go in during this fourth quarter. Here's Donchich. Another miss by Donchich. He's fallen into a bit of a slump this quarter. How quickly things can turn. On the wing, Curry, lets a three fly. And the rebound goes to the Mavericks. Exum's got four rebounds now. Pass to Cleva to win the run. Gets the three ball to go. How about the outstanding vision from the crafty point guard, Dante Exum, seeing the floor beautifully? Curry passes to Green. Thompson finds Green over Gafford. And that one's long. The Mavericks have gone five of 11 so far in the…
