Listen, yeah that in the jungle, in a jungle, in a jungle, yo, listen, yeah that, in a jungle, in a jungle, in a jungle, in a jungle, in a jungle, we got jungle. Put me on top, city on lock, day like when he go dry, we ain't had a It's that time of the year. Happy holidays, everyone, from Well, we're well into the season now, Brent, our teams about where you thought they'd be in terms of rank at this point. There's always a few surprises, but those elite teams, they've done what we expected them to do, and that's rise to the top. It only gets harder to imagine that these teams would slip out of that position at this point. A look at the starting group for the matcher, filling the perimeter slots, it's Harrison Bodgner. And Carroll and Carter make up the inside pair, and it sucks in at the point. Carter sets the pick for Suggs. It's hauled in by Jackson Davis. Wiggins with it, defended now by Wagner, outside Curry. Trying to get open its Thompson, and there's Steffen Curry and the assist from Green. That's tough, tough finish. Not just a great shooter, but really great numbers through the years as being an elite finisher. Now, here's Wagner. He's been putting up the points on a very steady basis, averaging around 17 and a half points a game. Can't connect from 13 feet out. And mark that one down right there. It's going to be a long time until we see him miss another one like that. That's in for the first basket of the game after three attempts. And not a bad passing center. Carter, Jr. with a solid fine there that leads to a bucket. And Thompson kicks to Curry. They kick it out to Green, shoots the three, and a great assist by Curry as that one goes in. And that's exactly what he's looking for, draining the triple. We talk so much, Brian about Steph Curry's shooting. What about his leadership skills and what that means to the team? There's no doubt the team feeds off of Steph's positive joy and energy and his commitment to the game. He wills them to victory night in and night out. And it's Carter missing. Yeah, my expectations were that he was not gonna miss that. He handles that kind of defense, especially on the inside. And here's green outside, and another three for Golden State. Well, Draymond Green must be feeling good because, no hesitation in that one there, letting it rip. I mean, that's a tough break for the DMA. He took the hit and drew the whistle. If you're just tuning in, we've played about two and a half minutes here in the first. Passes it to Wagner. And Carter has it in the corner. Hangs home the trifecta. Nice answer back there. Love to see the competitors. Yeah, both teams finding ways to the three -point line and trying to take advantage from distance. Now, here's shot, guarded by Kerr. Fogger wide open, and again it's Orlando with a three. Oh, that's a terrific pass by the big fella. Ben Carroll is adding that element to his game as his career progresses. You're not gonna see that very often, plenty of space, but he just looks at face and he lifts on that. Suggs kicks to Ban Carroll, and that won't go, missing the go-ahead bucket to the inside. They kick it out to Green, there's the three. Van Carroll grabs the board. The magic have gotten just three of their first nine shots to go down in this game. Carter, right side, launches a three. The Warriors pull it in. They come into this one following the loss to the Mavericks. You know, I don't like to use the word shock, but that was a shocking result for me. Nobody saw that one coming. To lose to that team was surprising enough, but to get blown out like that. Yeah, that's a bit of a head scratcher there. That was a case where every single thing that could have gone wrong for them, oh, it showed up. Here's Vacher. I'm on Green with the rebound. That's the only kind of defense that's going to cut the mustard here tonight. You got to stay on top of a guy like that who can play at such a high level offensive. Now, here's Curry. He has been a nice option for them offensively. He's averaging more than 17 points a game. That's as easy as it gets. When play Thompson's in a rhythm like that, you can cash it out. Orlando trailing here. Here sucks. His last outing, he had 18 points. And Carter has it in the corner. Another miss by Orlando. One player sometimes can drag down your offense, and it seems to be an anchor here in this quarter. And Thompson gets it to go. Just get the feeling that whenever Clay rises up, he's gonna make it. The Magic trail by five. Shot clock in game clock separated by less than six seconds. And Carter has it in the corner. Good, and Harris gets the assist. Carter's got his second bastard at the night. Now, what a great option he gives them on every possession. Outside Curry. They kick it out to Green, Thompson passes to Curry. Trying to answer back, but that three is off the mark. A good, close contest so far, as we finish the first quarter, the Warriors on top. They lead by a button. Live from Chase Center. You're watching 2K Sports. And this has been a fairly close game to the first quarter, and we'll see what happens here in the second. And let's take a moment, guys, to get your take on the scoring so far for the Warriors. So far, they've moved the ball well, leading to open, high percentage looks. Lots of assists in this one. I like that they've also emphasized the three -point line, and gained a good number from beyond the art this year. So with Thompson sitting on the bench, here's the group that Steve Kerr has on the floor. They've got Peyton. Harris is out there with Kavanaugh-Looning. Then there's Stefan Kerr. And as Vajemsky in at the two. Here's Curry with the three. Oh, Curry's so accurate from three-point range. He's down. Put the ball in Curry's hands and let's see what happens. actually ends up being pretty good. And Brett, Steph Curry has so much love for this game. He's a true ambassador for the sport. Well, with Steph, anything that he touches seems to turn the gold. I mean, he loves hoops, no matter what it is, supports the women's games, he's involved with youth athletics in the Bay Area and back home in Charlotte, and this guy just loves to see the sport grow as much as he has. Shot by Pajemsky, no good. And you could tell he thought that triple was gonna fall. To the paint, Wagner, and finish off by Wagner. Very little resistance against that throwdown. Nope, not what they wanna see, and it came this close, Drake. On one side inspiration on the other, devastation. And here in the second, with about a minute and a half gone by. And Wagner has it in the corner. That misses had a chance to tie it there. Warriors leading by three. Back to Curry. Harris outside. Shot clock at six. Looney passes to Harris with the shot. And I was sure that was money on that one, but everyone is afforded an easy miss or two. Yeah, that happens. Important thing is for players, just don't beat yourself up and make a miss like that cost you another play. Count that one from Isaac. And one area, Isaac must continue to improve upon. Has the size to dominate inside. Now just need to add the muscle. Wow, here's Curry. He has five. They grant their own miss. Out to Harris, the Trey. It's the three-point bomb. Harris has got five points now this quarter. He's going to punish you if you leave him open. He's more than willing to take the open three when he's got it. Back to Isaac. That's his second shot and his second basket. He's two for two. Craig, you look at the size of some of these point guards now. Magic Johnson would feel right at home. Yeah, it's a part of a larger trend with all the switching defensively. If you have just one smaller guy on the floor, he is going to get targeted. And now, the first timeout called here for the match. So Orlando is going with an almost entirely new group. Rendell Carter, he's checked in for Vodka. Franz Vodner comes in for Banccaro. Harris has checked in for Black. And it sucks in for Cole Anthony. O'Dhneur kicks to Isaac. Once again, off the mark Orlando. Something that's kept this game close is the fact that the rebound stats for both teams are almost identical. Redmond Green's not going to let anyone slow him down. Terrific at completing that chance. And let's head over to the sideline and catch up with David Alder. Thank you, Kevin. This young magic team is building, and they're anchored by the talent in their front core. Franz Wagner, Al-Bin-Karrel and Wendell Carter Jr., who said, as a team, our potential is through the roof. I think the biggest thing for us is being injury-free. That will give us the best chance to be very special. Kevin? Special indeed. All right, David Alders, thank you. From past the arc. Shot by Pajemsky, no good. So for the magic, their last game, a loss to the Suns in Phoenix. And it's sucks missing. I'm not sure how he finds himself in so much space there. He's kicking himself for whiffing a bit on that one. There's the dish to Thompson. And the Warriors tack on two more. You can never let Clay shoot off a crisp pass. He just lets that go so quick. Harris against Thompson. Harris passes to Suggs. On the wing, Isaac. Some nice ball movement by the magic. Harris, no good. Warriors leading by six. Pass to Pajemski. Here's Jackson Davis. Defended by Carter. Here's Jackson Davis. hasn't made one yet. Wiggins from outside, and no good. Wagner from Long Range, and we've finished one -half of basketball. Warriors lead by six. And now let's catch up. Thanks so much, David, and we'll step away briefly, but get you right back out here for the start of the third quarter after this break. Let's hear it for your arena entertainment. Welcome. First up on the, and a bit of a gear switch here. Shaq, you are currently trending online right now. Fans are demanding you try your hand. All right, and looking now at the first half, it's been an almost but not quite story for the Orlando Magic. Thanks for spending halftime with us. Time to get it. We saw a pretty tight bet. We'll soon find out what sort of adjustments were discussed during the half. One of the stories here, Braymond Green, getting it done today. Yeah, and through the first two quarters, he has been the offense for this team. Yeah, he's shouldering the load right now and looking really comfortable while he's doing it. So on the floor for Orlando, the forward spots, it's Wagner and Bancaro. The guard pair, it'sugs and Harris. And it's Carter in its center. Carter with the screen. There's Wagner with the three. Slay Johnson grabs the miss. And it's Johnson with the ball. He'll bring it up for Golden State. They lead by 8. That's the biggest of the game. Well, they're still young, but the magic Greg are becoming one of those lead pass teams. Like, people want to watch them. I mean, they've got some players. Leaving aside any rooting interest on my part, they've got some young fellas that are definitely intriguing to watch. Here's Fodgner. The Warriors pull it in. Solid rebound there, and with the sport like it is, that's an area where they can't afford to get lazy. Pass to Jackson Davis. Thompson against Harris. Thompson dishes to Curry. The Magic Trail by 8. Wagner outside. Let's it go from deep. It's hauled in by Jackson Davis. Golden State's gone old two from deep to start things here in the second hand, to the middle. Thompson outside. Wiggins outside, over suds, and he drops that one in. Moving it around, eight of their last 10. coming off assist. Orlando, they've gone 0-03 and are still looking for that first bucket here in the second hand. Now a timeout called by Orlando. Yeah, his shot is just not there tonight, guys, and instead of trying to shoot himself out of the slump, he needs to start moving the ball around and creating for his teammates. Now we have a chance to see the teams that have been the NBA's best three -point shooters this front. The Warriors, number one. Over the last month, they've been extremely disciplined on the perimeter, not really rushing to get attempts off, but taking their time to find the best looks. And we're just about two minutes into the second half now. A nice shot by Carter. And when you call a play for Carter, Jr., you really want to get him something in rhythm. Great execution there. Thompson, off on the layup. The Magic Trail by 7. Now Sucks, still without a basket, trains it from beyond the arm. And that's back-to-back threes. The D just seems to be slacking off a little bit. Outside Curry takes the three. That balls, ice-feed that time from Wiggins. And the Warriors lead by seven. Well, the moment that ball went through on the other end, you could see Steph wanting the ball back, and of course he did it. That's the answer. Wagner finds Van Carroll. No good on that one. Good D, by Johnson. Golden State's gone, one of three from downtown since halftime. Greg, here he is, the first overall pick of the 2022 draft, Hullo Bank Carroll. And the top pick, because he's a 6 -10 playmaker. Concaro has a tremendous feel for the game. Great vision, passionate, and endless potential offensive. Sugs with the ball, now Green defending. Thompson outside. Pass to Jackson Davis. Green with the ball. It's up a three. Out to Thompson, that's the three-five. For the magic. Wagner comes in for Carter, and it's Jonathan Isaac in for Bancarro. And it's Jonathan Isaac in for Ban Carroll. The Magic Trail by 10. Just over three and a half minutes through the third quarter to play now. Launches it. And it's sucks missing. Golden State's gone outside a lot tonight, 17 times, in fact. 7 of 17. The shot's good. Harris has got the lead up to 12 down for the Warriors. Well, Looney knows his role, good at keeping the ball moving and finding the right man for the shot. And now, we've got some time to check in from the sideline. They got for us, DA. Thanks very much. Wendell Carter, Jr. didn't break through in his first stop with the Bulls, but he's become a cornerstone player with the magic. But he says, is, I've definitely tapped into a different side of myself. Defensively, being able to guard one through five, just continuing to go up from there and helping my team. Kevin? Good stuff, D.A., thank you. Thompson, from long range. That's no good. It's his second miss. He's made four. The Magic Trail by 10. Here is with it. Ticked up by Thompson. They get it back. And they've got a big lead, not just on the scoreboard, but really in the rebounding numbers as well. Good. Thompson makes it look so easy. This shooting has been outstanding. Definitely one of the reasons they're up in this game. Guys, they're looking for a way to score here. Yeah, they've had a tough time taking the lid off. Here's against Wagner. Down to five on the shot clock. Tries from 10. Good. Wagner's got 12. That's a high percentage look when the D doesn't fight over the screen. Coach over there just asking for one simple thing, and that's some effort got burned on that way. And so it's the Golden State Warriors. With the fourth quarter upon us, time is running out for this game to become competitive. The Magic Trail by 11. So with Thompson sitting on the bench, here's the group that Steve Kerr has on the floor. We've got Kavan Looney. Gary Payton the second is out there with Tobias Harris. Then there's Stefan Curr. And it's Pajemski in at the two spot. And Curry has it in the corner. Misses the three. and close to making the defense pay for the lax coverage that time. The wide open look here for Anthony, offline with his three. Warriors leading by 11. It's hurry outside. Houston with the rebound. Not his best night from the field, but looking for other ways and finding them so he can chip in. And Isaac throws it down. Yeah, and Isaac, he just makes dunking look easy. It has an incredible reach and quickly gets up off the floor to throw that one down. Oh, Curry, good from the corner. And they're getting their points now almost exclusively from the triple. Four of their last five makes are from beyond the up. Now a timeout called by Orlando. The short rest very important, and one of the benefits of this part of the game is getting on the same page with your team. while having the chance to hydrate with Gatorin. Replenish your energy for the late-game push. Right now, I send it over to the sidelines and get a report from David Aldrich. During that last break, I got a chance to hear what Jamal Mosley said to his team. I asked for one thing, intensity. He said, I need you to crank it up to 11 out there. That's how we turn it around. Back to you guys. Okay, David, much appreciated. Final quarter of play, about a minute and a half off the clock into it. Now the pass to Harris. At balls, ice-feed that time from Wiggin. Their third three-pointer in a row. And Anthony's got the ball here for the magic. 15-point game. Carter for three. Van Carrow, that's good. Van Caro's got his first points in this one. And he's going to be a consistent score. when he can get those shots to fall. Defense has to do a better job against Bec Carroll inside. Murray finds Harris. Here's Garuba. Back to Harris. Some nice passing by Golden Stadium. Curry can't get it to go. And it's still a close game. I mean, despite the fact that they've struggled to compete on the board. And here's Anthony from the art, a three -pointers right on target. watching Isaac find the open teammate has great floor awareness out there and just knows when one of his guys has a play look. And contact on the shot, so he'll be shooting free throws. He was quickly check out the scoring breakdown here for the warnings. And guys, how about the unselfishness and all about working that ball around shifting the defense and just seeking out the best shot. Well, the three-point shot has been absolutely huge for them this entire game. And let's be honest, you have to knock down threes to win games these days. Catching up on the changes for Orlando. Hans Wagner's checked in for Isaac. Gary Harris comes in for Joe Inglis, and Jaywin Suggs, he's subbed in for Cole Anthony. And for regular to score, I have to imagine it was a topic. of discussion at halftime. Maybe trying to find a little bit more space and ball movement to get guys open into three point. And this is what you love about Carter. Sets great picks, and he's a monster rolling toward the cup. Here's Curry, and he gets the basket. Officials blowing the whistle so a chance at the line for one more. And Matador defense, that's one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. Yeah, it feels like Christmas right now, just gift wrapping points. The magic trail by 16. There's the steel, and here we go, and Jackson Davis gets it to go. They're in total command of this game, with time starting to run out. Yeah, looking for a miracle worker out there is the opposing coaching staff. I don't know that they have one. This game seems to be well in hand. Now, here's Sucks. T. Wright on him. Here's Wagner. And two free throws coming up, unable to get that one to go with all the content. It's going to be on Andrew Wiggins. Clearly, that's good from Wagner. And with this new end-season tournament, great, the NBA continuing to innovate. Are they getting, though, two out there for you? or do you like it? Listen, I think it pays to be bold, and I'll be one to admit, I was not a fan of the play-in, but I gotta tell you, it's been a tremendous success, so I've got an open mind. and more artwork from the greatest shooter we've ever seen, Curry making it look easy. So Orlando going with an almost entirely new group. Carter, he's checked in for Mo Wagner, and Carol comes in for Isaac. Paris is checked in for O'Kee-Kee -Kee- and it's Suggs in for Anthony. Offensive rebound, and it's Carter missing. Warriors leading by 17. And tonight's battle is going to end with a very clear winner, leaving nothing to chance. Impressive win for the Warriors. It was like watching a three-point shooting contest tonight here. And they just... didn't seem to let up, whether the last several shots went…
