76ers vs Warriors by @southgamer on 3Speak
Still moving and beating my opponents with little to no messy despite how hard they try to be good. 76ers were trying hard to get this point but when the time came for Curry to step up, he did. ---...

seen some of my bass with a, one of them new slides, televised, emphasize, but bet you weigh him, tell that he can pick a side. That's what I'm doing, running to that guy, that's a big exercise. The running to that, that's the motto. The Warriors coming into the arena earlier, they know a hostile... Great to have you with us. We are set to get you over the hump this Wednesday night with another. Well, we're past the halfway mark of the season now, Clark. How hard is it for teams to stay focused during this time of year? Well, I think it depends on the team, their aspirations, and the leadership within the team. I mean, some teams, when they know they're out of it, can look a little lost, but the contenders have a way of staying sharp all the way through. All right, checking out Golden State's opening lineup. Down low, it's Draymond and Looney. Then it's Andrew Wiggins, then there's Stefan Curry, and it's Pajemsky in at the two-guards spot. Outside, Green. Pires in the triple. One of the primary ways Green helps this offense, operating as a stretch big. Down low, here's Ubre. And now it is hammered home. And in traffic, he uses the reverse to keep the shot blocker at bay. What an incredible move. Not everyone has that kind of skill. No, that was outstanding, guys. But Jemsky's shot is good. Making a statement here early, going right to the rack. I love it. Yeah, that's how he rolls. I mean, intimidate the opponent right now. Ubrai passes to Embed. The rebound by Wiggins. Very surprising that he came away empty there, especially given room to operate. And the basket by Curry. Talk about a great start. Three of three from the field to get the game going. They're cooking with gas, folks. For three, Maxie, rebounded by Green. The Warriors have gone three of three so far from the floor. It seems you could bring in anybody to this team and pair them with Embed, and they'd still win, Greg. Oh, they got a solid roster. But there's no denying that Indeat is the heartbeat of this team. The 76ers go how Embed goes, kind of like our broadcast with you. And in the last five seasons, they've gone to the playoffs. Count that bucket. And I like whenever he'll attacks inside like this, exploiting the defense when they give them these chances. Pass to Looney, to the middle. And the shots good by Wiggins. They've hit four of their first five shots. Great execution and attention to detail. Maxi against Wiggins. Embed with it. Outside Ubray, the three. Yes, and it's M.B picking up the assist. Ubray's got five now. The big man draws so much attention, so M.B takes advantage of that and finds an open teammate. Here's Curry. It's hauled in by the Sixers. Pass to heel. Jacks up with three. The rebound by Wiggins. And Curry's got the ball here for Golden State. It's a three-point game. Wiggins, left side. Yo, y'all, kick it out! Shoots over Ubrey. Wiggins, no good. Philadelphia has gone one for three from beyond the art. Healed on the wing. The three is up. It's the trifecta. He's got five. A very efficient range shooter. You expect Heald to take these shots. Passed at the Chimski. To the inside. That shot off. Some solid defense from Maxi. And it's healed that time, all the assist by Maxi. Maxi's got three assists tonight. Attacking in the painted area. Clearly that was their game plan coming in. Maxi against Curry. Now here's Wiggins. against Curry. The three ball, and that's good. Backseat for three. This defense is getting spaced out. Three of the last five buckets have come from way beyond the art. Now a timeout called by Golden State, and the 76ers with some changes. Reed comes in for Ubre, and it's Chris Paul in for Tyrese Maxi. Here's Kignonis. He's guarded by Paul, fast to Peyton. 32 seconds left to play in the first. Harris, always a nice way to start, makes his first one. When you're a score like Harris, tough defense like that doesn't bother you a whole lot. Paul against Peyton. And Paul gets it to go. You love his attack mentality, never settling, always keeping the pressure on. Wiggins, right side. Outside Peyton. Pass to Quignoness. Back to Payton, now Harris. From outside the arc, connects from downtown. Harris has got his second bucket on the night. Yeah, the corner is a great spot for Harris. He works to get open over there. Paul shot is off. Golden State has gone three of four on threes here in this first quarter. Back to Peyton, Harris, outside. Harris misses. Both teams have it going here early, and still close through the first quarter. Sixers ahead. And this has been a fairly close game through the first quarter. We'll see what happens here in the second. All right, well, a look at how the points have been generated so far, a scoring breakdown for the 76ers. They've done a great job establishing an inside presence. Now, that'll open up more options offensively throughout the remainder of the game. Cultivating a lot of assists right now, which is beautiful to see. Love the way they're working that ball around. We've got Chris Paul. Robert Cellington is out there with Paul Reed. Then there's DeAnthi Melton, and it's Maxi in a shooting guard. That's the group for Philadelphia to kick off the second quarter. Maxi passes to Reed. Back to Maxi. Inside. And he goes up strong with a one -handed jam. That's how you run the pick and roll. Max. He capping it off with the perfect pass. All right, let's check in with Ali LaForce. Joel and Dean talked about setting the tone. He said it's not easy being a leader. I'm not an off-the-court guy, I'm more reserved, but on the court, that's the way I like to lead, dominating on the court, offensively, defensively, and try to bring everybody along with me. Brian? He does it well for sure. Ali, thanks for that. Pass to Reed, wide open. And it's Harris with the rebound. All alone from mid-range, you've got to think he's kicking himself. Passes to Harris. There's the three. Peyton, no good. And he probably thought he was going to hurry that one. And that's a foul, called on Stefan Curry. That's his first foul. Bombas checked in for Philadelphia. Ubrek comes in for Melton. And the Warriors making a switch here. A minute and a half gone in the second quarter. Back scene. The Sixers with another miss. The Warriors have gone two of four here in the second quarter. Pass to Harris on the wing. Curry, back to Harris. Here's Pajimski. Harris, outside from deep. Can't get it to fall. Now three for five in this one. And given the chance, Clark, Kelly Ubre has shown he can be a go-to score. I always liked this game. He was just so volatile. He'd get out of control at times, but he's really worked hard to refine his emotions, which has helped him refine his game, and he's added some strength. All of that has made him a pretty potent offensive package. And stolen by Green. Peyton with it, bomber covering. Here's Pajemski. And that's good from 17 feet. We know Curry has tremendous vision, and he uses it to tee up his teammates for easy shots. And so Paul will bring it up for the 76ers. You know, last game, they matched up with the Mavs. A tough loss there. And when you look at it, that shooting percentage is an ugly one. Anytime you see it in the lower 30s, you know it was probably a rough night. Yeah, I can't name a team that's going to find a way to win shooting like that. I mean, they never had a chance with the touch they had that night. He drops yet another dime, just facilitating this offense like a maestro. Well, when you look at the assist totals, heck, they've been clearly the better team. And the 76ers call time here, and some changes here for the 76ers. In Bede, he's checked in for Bamba. Batum comes in for Reed, and Healed is subbed in for Paul. Looney's checked in for the Warriors. Andrew Wiggins comes in for Curry. Here's Maxie. Their offense, Stone Cold. Another miss there. Here's Peyton. No good with the triple. So far, this quarter, he's been out of sync. It might be pressing right now. Here's Maxi. Pass to heel. Outside Ubre, back to heel. Outside Maxi. Outside, Maxi. Six on the shot clock. Another missed by Philadelphia. The Warriors leading on the wing, Peyton. Outside, green. The three-pointer off the mark for Philadelphia. They've gone one for six in the second quarter. Not great. And here's Ubre from the arc. And the three-pointer goes. Ubre has got eight. Selfless pass there for Max. I'm really able to handle the guard position quite well. Here's Petimski. Perfection with the jumper from the elbow. And the Warriors lead by five. Here's Maxie. Eight points in his last time out. Embed to screen on Wiggins. For three, Maxi. The Warriors pull it in. No matter what he's tried, it hasn't worked. Unfortunately, the team is suffering from them. Outside, green. No good from outside. Philadelphia has gone one of four from three -point land here in the second. And there is a whistle. That'll go on, Kavong Luni. That's his first foul, Stefan Curry. He's checked in for Peyton. Substitution for the Warriors. Number 30, Stephen Curry. Here's healed. That shot missing. Curry with some nice D. The Warriors have gone just five of 12 here in the second quarter. Wiggins, no good. The 76ers shooting the ball at 43% for the field. Outside, Maxi, here's the three. Just off on that shot, just one for seven in the game. It's been an ugly quarter for him. Trying to shoot his way out of it, might be time to work on the playmaking skills. There's Petimski. That's the three ball to go. He's got nine. And you know, for a big man, I think Green is one of the better dime -droppers in the league. I mean, he's a true point forward who has excellent vision. Thanks very much, Ali. We'll be back soon to start the second half of basketball. Well, they got a huge boost from the second unit. Those guys came from the bench firm. Really changed the complexion of this matchup. That was one of... Now let's take a moment and see... Thanks for joining us. And we've got third quarter basketball here. Two quarters in the books. Golden State has gotten six of 13 shots to go from outside the ark. Kick it off the second half. Here's Steve Kerr's 5. Wiggins at the 3, and Draymond at the 4. Then there's Kavan Looney, then there's Stefan Curry, and it's Fijinsky in at the two. We've had many impactful European players throughout the years, Clark. What makes their style of play so different? You know, I think it's really how they're trained from the time they start playing the game, B.A. Every player, regardless of size, is taught to think. and feel and play the game fundamentally sound. And I love that. I think that's something that should be mimicked in the States. Train kids to play the game the right way in all aspects of it, no matter how small or tall they are. Maxi, that's good. Big-time answer by Maxx, boy, was he dialed in there. Pass to Curry. On the wing, green. The kickout to Wiggins. Outside, Green. Here's Pajemsky. Green, the pass to Curry. And that one's good. And Green with the assist. Green's got three assists now in this one. And let's send it over to Allie LaForce. Hey, Brian, well, the Sixers have so much firepower, but it's all about chemistry. Anyone knows the way teams grow is by talking and being around each other. The connection between the stars is going to help them reach their teams, Brian. Well, they've had to deal with some adjustments for sure. Ali, thanks. And a chance to see the latest edition of the power rankings. Always fun to see where everyone in the league stands. You take a look at Philadelphia. They're in the same slot. Number four, I think for the Warriors. They've claimed the top spot because they've earned it. Some critics have said they're playing way above their heads, but I think we're just learning how great this team is. Using his size to full advantage, he beats everyone to the ball. And one of the more imposing guys at the center position, Joelle Mb. As unique of players, we've got in the league in terms of his size, just mammoth and his agility and skill level, so special for a guy of his size. His production is absolutely crazy. Perennial MVP candidate now and perhaps for several years to come. The Warriors have gotten three of six shots to fall so far in the third. To the paint, here's Curry. Oh, Curry, a magician inside. Boy, he's cooking with grease, he's got things flaming up, looking for an opportunity every time down the floor when he's at hot. And a peek at the NBA's best at the three-point line. Number one, Tobias Harris, the fort spot held by Traymond Green. The way both of these guys open up the floor with their long-range shooting. You just can't afford to give them any airspace from deep. Curry against Maxie. Pass to Embed. The shot. Gets an open look and hits it. Embed's got four points in the quarter. Not known for a quick release, but Embed's showing he has that ability as well. Here's Green. Green gets up and powers it down. Woo! Defensively, you can't afford to let him get to the rim that easily. Well, that might be why their deficit is what it is right now. You know, you look at it, the communication is lacking, as is the trust. They can ill afford those types of breakdowns. It won't work. You can't win with those kind of breakdown. Man, what a pass that was there. He really, really relish is making the game easier for his teammates. Curry against Maxi. Curry passes to Looney. Back to Curry, here's Pichemsky. And it's good. Assisting on the play was Curry. Curry's got four assists now tonight. As the deep shots continue to fall, you can sense the frustration growing among these defenders. Yeah, they either have been unwilling or unable to take that shot away. Strong performance from him, but he may need to do even more if they're going to win this game. Hurry passes to Looney. The kickout to Wiggins, shoots over Ubrey. Wiggins, no good. And Maxie's got the ball here for Philadelphia. They host the Hawks after this one, and that'll be the finale in their four-game homestand. Back to M.B. Oh, look out, Joel M.B! by the power jam! And Heald's playmaker continues to improve. Solid pass right there to the open teammate. And some changes here for the 76ers. Reed's checked in for Invide. And it's Chris Paul in for heel. Paul against Peyton. Wiggins, right side. Pass to Moody. The kickout to Wiggins. Now, Peyton, down low. And it's gonna be a three-second call. First and field goal percentage, and they clinch the top spot when it comes to protecting the ball. Fewer's turnovers per game in the league. No one keeps the ball locked up tight like these guys. And you really can't emphasize enough how impressive their field goal percentage is. They run their game plan so well and know how to get the shots they want. Paul with it, now Wiggins defending. Here's Ubrai. Good D by Payton. It's one thing to prevent the layup. It's another to do it without fouling. Just terrific defense. Oh, got that one up quick. Jackson Davis has gotten his first basket of the night. Boy, Andrew Wiggins, the former first overall pick showing off his passing skills there. Now here's Maxie. Tight defense on him. And that one is stuffed right through. That should give them a nice lift. Good timing. They needed that one. And you know, that's exactly what happens when you don't settle. That's the result. Tremendous effort and a big time finish there. The 76ers have gotten 8 of 11 shots to go in. Efficient so far on the third. One second separating the shot clock in the game clock. Back to Maxie. It's Reed, high post. And he throws it down. What a terrific lead pass. Strong finish to cut into that lead a little. Man, left no doubt without it, Grant. Well, I tell you what, he loaded up as much power as he could behind that two-hand. And so it's the Golden State Warrior, with a nine-point cushion at the end of the quarter. Great shot selection right now. Keep... And let's take this opportunity to show you our State Farm assist of the game. This is the definition of team chemistry. I love to see this kind of communication and connection between teammates leading to the perfect paths. For me, next to the big-time alley -oops and monster throwdowns passes like that are probably the next best thing when it comes to sweet-looking NBA highlands. With three quarters behind us, let's see what this fourth period holds in store. Kyle Lowry out there with Robert Covington. Then there's the Anthony Melton, then it's Paul Reed, and it's Paul in at the one. That's the group in the game for the 76ers. Takes a step back to the right side, fires the three. No good. The Warriors leading. Outside Peyton, out to the right wing, and here's Sharich for three, and Reed pulls it down. and he almost made them regret defending him so loosely. Melton passes to Paul. Nails it from beyond the ark. They're having a good half offensively, shooting over 50% from the field now, trying to close the gap. Right wing, pass to Curry. Tried to come right back with a three of his own, but it's no good. Left side pole. Ooh, good finish at the rack, off the slick feed. Nice pass from Melton's solid job in getting it to his team base. Now a timeout called by Golden State. The 76ers making a switch here. Embed's checked in, Looney's checked in for the Warriors, and let's swing it over to the sideline and hear from Ali. I was able to listen in on what Steve Kerr had to say to the team. Coach cautioned his team against feeling comfortable. He said the moment we take our foot off the gas, they're back in it. Let's push through the finish line. Brian? Thank you for that, Ali. The three from Curry. It's hauled in by the Sixers. Embed's got four rebounds now. Launches it. Paul, shot is off. Tell you what, the defense was lucky there. I mean, leave him that open from range. He'll typically knock you down. Peyton's shot is good. Obviously, a total team player. Sharich is a guy, if his teammate is open, he's going to get the ball. Paul against Curry. They double team Paul. Pass to Reed, and here's Paul. Six to shoot. Late clock, the Sixers need to pull one up here. Lowry, no good. Golden State has gone 0 for three here on the fourth. Dayton finds Looney, three-pointer. Sharich, shot is off. Philadelphia has gone, only one of four from the perimeter here in this fourth quarter. Paul draws the double, pass to Reed. Lowry outside. Screen by Embed. Lowry, no good. The Warriors have gotten only one of five to fall here in the fourth. Curry with it, lets it go from deep. Oh, Curry, a sick triple. Huge night for Curry in a great rhythm. This thus far, that's always bad news for the team he's facing. Philadelphia calls timeout. And a new group getting ready for the Sixers. Matum is checked in for Reed, Ubre comes in for Lowry, Heald's checked in for Melton, and it's Maxi in for Chris Paul. The 76ers running out of time. Outside Maxi, lets the three fly, nails it from three. Welcome to Maxi's World, one of the more efficient three-point shooters in this game. Green for three, and the Warriors! Man, this is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three. Oh, the lob and the great finish by Embed. Hey, get that pass anywhere near the rat, Embed on the stuff. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. They lead by seven. For three, Joel Embed with the board. Embed's got five rebounds in the game. Pass to Maxi. Fourth quarter of play, and over three and a half minutes have gone by now. Off the mark there with a three. The Warriors have gotten three of eight shot attempts to find the net here in the fourth quarter. It's Wiggins on the wing. And the officials whistle a foul on the shot. The bucket is good, and he'll go to the line. Boy, what a strong finisher Wiggins is. Trying to get physical with him, he powers right through you. All right guys, let's get your take on the scoring breakdown for the Warriors. Their offensive game plan has been simple. Look to shoot it often from outside the arm. And the results…
