Put me on top. Hi, everybody, time to get into it. Let's take a second to check in on the race for rookie of the year and see how the rankings are shaping up for this year's class of new NBA talents. Well, we're in the middle of the season, and he's got to really step up to even get into the rookie of the year conversation. And while he's below some of the other rookies on that list, you can tell he's dialing in and finding his footing. And you know what that says to me is that he's going to have a very big second half of his rookie season. All right, checking out Golden State's opening lineup. The core of the Warriors Dynasty on the floor. Curry and Clay is the guards with Draymond at the floor. Kvon Looney is out there with Andrew Wiggins. And from Milwaukee, filling out the wings, it's Beasley and Middleton. Yonison Lopez together down low, and it's Lillard in at the point guard position. Curry passes to Green. Nails it from beyond the arc. And Grant, the teams will see tonight have some strong veteran leaders. You were in that role not too long ago, my friend. You're right, B.A. It feels like just yesterday, and you need a steady presence and voice on the player's side. It really can help a team through some rough stretches throughout the year. Now here's Thompson, a valuable part of their offense, averaging a little more than 16 a game over Lillard. And there's Thompson on the assist by Green. And you know, for a big man, I think Green is one of the better dime -droppers in the league. I mean, he's a true point forward who has excellent vision and sees the floor well. Beasley against Curry. Lillard is screen on Curry. To the inside. And Lillard gets it to go. Just taking it right to the rim, and no one was there to greet him. Well, this early, they should be showing a lot more energy on defense. It's not there. And he hits it and gets hacked. A three-point chance here, if he can convert. Offensively, they've been pretty sharp. Three for four so far. And in the first, a little over a minute and a half in. The Bucks have gone just two for four from the floor. And you think about the value of continuity, Clark, a new coaching staff for these bucks, but the roster has had plenty of time to develop chemistry. I'll tell you what, Yannis is at the center of everything they do, BIA, including winning that championship. Not many conflicting personality certainly helps, and these guys are well molded together. And that one's good, Lillard. A genuine sniper from downtown. Lillard's confidence is what makes them so dangerous. Thompson, right side. Outside Curry. Pass to Green. Driving in. No good on the shot. Good Diyo by Anna de Kumpo. And the foul called on Draymond Green. That's his first foul of the game. Beverly, he's checked in for Beasley. Milwaukee is gone, one of four from deep. For three, here's Lillard. It's rebounded by Golden State. This, of course, their first opportunity to play Milwaukee this season. We see these teams face off only twice a year, last year, each one-one. Really easy to tell that this is an important game. I mean, I don't know if the crowd will get a chance to take a breath in this one. Now here's Beverly. Pass to Lillard. That here's Lopez. Now here's Ata Kumpo. Green covering, the fadeaway. Shots good by Aonidacompo. You know, Yannis wants to get a few steps closer, but he's worked really hard to make this mid-range shot more consistent. Wiggins against Middleton. Wiggins passes to Looney. The three from Thompson, Giannis Outer de Koupo, grabs the board. And so it's on to Kupo with it. He brings it up for the box. Four-point game. Lillard finds Middleton. For three, doesn't go, and he's 0 for one from the floor. You know, defensively, you just can't afford to give him that much room. They're fortunate that he missed that one. A deep three. It doesn't go for him. The bucks have gone four of nine in this one so far. There's a minute 12 left in the first. Lopez, the screen on Wiggins from 12 feet. Can't hit it. He's 0 for 2 now. The Warriors have gone 5 of 9 from the floor. Pass to Green, Wiggins outside. The 3-pointer off the mark. And the shooter had very little space on that attempt. And guys, that's exactly the kind of high -impact defense they want to see out of him. Another miss by Middleton. Golden State has gone 2 of 5 from deep. And here is Thompson. Here's Looney. And again, it's the Warriors missing. Seven second difference between the shot clock and the game clock. It's stolen by Curry. In transition, here come the Warriors. And it's hammered home by Green. I mean, can't forget where Green is in transition, because he keeps himself ready to score in these situations. And here's Lillard from beyond the arc. Looney grabs a miss. Wiggins, left side. On the wing, Curry, jacks up at three. He can't hit that time. And so it's the Golden State Warriors, with a six-point lead at the close of the quarter. They've done well to disrupt the opposition. And for those of you just tuning in, second quarter action is where we are. Now, what do you guys think about the Warriors here in this one? It's simple. The main takeaway from the first quarter is they're winning this game with defense. Yeah, I agree. I mean, look at the energy, the effort defensively, they put it all out there in that opening quarter. We've got Patrick Beverly, Danilo Gallinare out there with Bobby Portis. Then it's Chris Middleton, and it's Bochamp in it to two. So that's who Milwaukee starts the second with. Peyton's shot is good. We know Curry has tremendous vision, and he uses it to tee up his teammates for easy shots. Peyton against Middleton. Portis with a screen on Peyton. Shoots from 12. Middleton, no good. The Warriors leading. Harris passes to Curry. Here's Sharich. And it's good. Assisting on the play was Curry. Sharich is deceptively strong. This guy's got good strength, and he doesn't mind being physical. Can absorb the contact and find a way to finish. Time now to hear from our reporter, Ali LaForce. Hey, Brian. Well, everybody knows that Janus Anticompo is not just one of the best bigs in the league, but one of the best teammates all the way around. People say about him, he does everything. His teammates say he deals with guys, takes good care of them, make sure they're healthy from top to bottom. He's the ultimate leader. Special talent, Ali, and a special person. Thanks for that. Well, there's a good reason this guy shoots as many threes as he does. Chris Middleton is a knockdown three-point shooter. Beasley's checked in for the bucks. Now the Warriors with it. Those road games are never easy. But they had a solid strategy going in and stuck to what they do best. Yeah, you know, game balls all around in that one, a terrific team effort. They trusted in their system and executed well to get the win. Beverly for three. And the box hit again from deep. I like watching Beverly catching the defense by surprise there, excellent, and pulling up after the pass. On the wing, Curry. Back to Harris, lets the three fly. Rebound, Milwaukee, coming into this, having knots to win against Boston in their last game. Man, you'd have to think that luck played a part in that one. I mean, the opponent had an off night at the defensive end for sure. Well, I think it was a combination of things, quite honestly, but the defense didn't really offer them a challenge all night. I agree with that. And Chris Middleton gets the whistle that time. That's his first foul. and just a great job of getting there first and absorbing the contact. No question about it, no flop there. That was a direct shot to the chest. Audit Accompos checked in for Milwaukee. Damien Lillard comes in for Beverly. And it's Lillard with a ball for the Milwaukee Bucks. Trailing by five. The park, we know what Bobby Portis brings to the table. He loves the ball. Yeah, he does, and he does it with a smile, with great passion and energy, and we do know that he'll give you double -digit points, and he'll stretch the floor with his three-point shooting. Curry with it, guarded by Ata Kumpo. Green, the pass to Curry, and here's Harris outside, and it's good. Assisting on the play was Curry. Harris has gotten himself going with a triple, his first basket of the game. Lillard against Curry. And that's a foul, called on Stefan Curry. That's his first foul, and the buck's making a change here. Bo champs checked in. Substitution on the corner. Two minutes, waiting in the first half. Two minutes. There's a minute 54 left in the half. Here's Portis, goes up and lays it in nice and easy. They didn't do themselves any favors with their shooting in the first quarter, but they're starting to pick it up now. Sometimes, for whatever reason, a lot of times you don't know why it takes a little while to work the knots out, but it looks like they're putting it together right now. Oh, stolen by Lillard. Pass to Bochette. Warriors will have it. A chance here to see the Eastern Conference standings. Guys, we've certainly seen some interesting mid-season storylines. You look at Milwaukee. Here around the midway point, they've proven to be a top three team in their conference. Well, I think from Milwaukee, I recall them having a lot of naysayers at the start of the season, but now they may not have any. This team is ready for a deep... playoff run. They do have the pieces in place for a title run, but the competition in the playoffs will be stiff. It's good. And that's a nice play. Under duress, Wiggins stain aggressive, sinks the contested shot. 58 seconds left in the first half. And here's Lillard from beyond the arc. Looney grabs a miss. Looney's got four rebounds now. 6th in scoring, and they're in the NBA's top 10 in opponent field goal percentage. When they're playing with full intensity, their defense is up there with the best of them. And you mentioned just how well they rebound. This is a team that works hard and knows how to box out. Brooke Lopez is checked in for the box. Chris Middleton comes in for Bocham. Stefan Curry, he's checked in for the Warriors. Here's Middleton. Looney grabs a miss. Looney's got five rebounds in the game. Outside, green. Pass to Curry. Rebound, Milwaukee. Audita Kumpo has got four rebounds now. It's impressive how they've overcome his cold streak tonight. Everyone's stepping in to fill the gap. And here's Lillard from beyond the arc. And he was fouled while in the act of shooting, so he'll take two free throws. He is actually two handsful inside, and Lopez more than happy to take the trip to the line. The free throw drops for Lopez. And Lopez drops them both. To have a big who's great at the line, such a plus. Pass to Looney. Lopez with the steel. One second left. Can't hit that one. And so it's the Golden State Warriors, leading by six as we wrap up the quarter. And their defense has stood out, wreaking havoc for the opposition. All right, now let's check in with Ali LaForce. Appreciate it, Ali, and we'll be coming right back after this break, ready for the third quarter. Well, I think for the Warriors, no surprise to see them at the top of the rankings. We knew they had championship DNA before the start of the season, and right now they're showing that they can possibly... Now back to our game, pretty impressive first half for the Warriors. Offensively, they've been impressive, working together. And that's a wrap on halftime. Second half of basketball is upon us, and we may be in for an exciting finish, based on how close of a game we've seen so far. Man, it's been quite a game for Stefan Curry. Yeah, he's kind of been the floor general for them tonight. A lot of assists for him. And you know, that's not a job they asked him to do very often, but in the first half, I thought he was in perfect sync with his teammates. Kick it off the second half, here's Steve Curse five. The core of the Warriors Dynasty on the floor. Curry and play is the guards with Dremont at the fore. Andrew Wiggins is out there with Kavan Looney. Takes a 13-footer. Warriors with the rebound. Looney's got six rebounds now in the game. And it's green missing. Well, you know, this is what happens. You can't afford to lose concentration even for a nanosecond. Well, Clark with his mix of power and length, at times, Yannis can seem unstoppable. You know what, not often isn't that one guy forces teams to reconsider their whole defensive game plan, but Yonis forces you to build the wall because you don't want him getting downhill, or they'll make yourself with a consequence. A moment to hear from Ali LaForse. Hey Brian, well, Yonis Santacinpo says his greatest challenge lies within. He said, quote, I don't compete with others, I just compete with myself. Every other night, it's going to be another great player, but I just try to be consistent, have fun, enjoy the game, create art, and be the best I can be. Artistry, I like it, Allen, thank you. Looney against Lopez. Curry passes to Wiggins, six to shoot. Here's Looney, and it's off the back of the rim, no good. Oh, man, what happened at halftime? Since then, they're 0-4. Yep, count it. Out of the Kumpur has got his second basket of the night. There it is, the first basket of the half after missing their first three attempts. Golden State calls time out. Get out of your seat, shot, Gwana. Let's take a second. to see which teams have been hitting the glass with a fury this season. In the third spot, the Bucks. This team has done a great job of hitting the boards, and they do tremendous work boxing out. Just a little over 90 seconds gone in the third quarter. Curry surveys. And here's Green from the Art, and it's good. Assisting on the play was Curry. Curry's got his fifth assist in this one. A pleasant surprise from Draymond there. I mean, I love when he looks for his offense. Milwaukee calls timeout. And today's team's all looking to space the floor with shooters, Clark. Thinking back, you ever wonder why it took so long to catch on? I haven't thought about it in that context, B.A., but I think part of it is you've got to have a lot of shooters to take advantage of it first and foremost. And now, again, with the likes of Steph Curry and Clay Thompson and Damien Lillard and so many other. outstanding perimeter shooters, more and more of those guys are coming into the league and following their example. Boy, you've got to respect Middleton anywhere on the ark. Top, the corners, he's just that leader. And here's Thompson for three. And the Warriors with another three! Their long-range shooting since halftime has been as strong as you could hope for. And now's the time for them to step on the gas pedal. Don't let up. Keep letting it fly from deep. and build that league, play through the finish line, not to it. Keep the pressure on. Wiggins outside. Back to Curry. Wiggins outside. Another three for Golden State. That's three in a row from out there now, so they've got to do a better job contestant. Right around three minutes into this second half. Here's Lillard. Boom, great work by Lillard in the paint. It's not all about him out there. Yon is a real example of a team first got. Ab Curry's got the ball here for the Warriors. They've led by as many as 11. Green, the past to Looney. The kickout to Wiggins, Thompson outside. Another three for Golden State. 12 straight points off threes. This defense is not extending very well. You know, they're having free reign from beyond the arc. The defense is just not there. Fires from the line. And it's out of the Kumpo with a miss. Boy, that's got to be terribly frustrating there. I mean, with the defense not hustling, and he still misses. Boy, he wishes he had that one back. On the wing, Thompson, from behind the arc. And that one's good. And Green with the assist. Green's got his third assist of the night. Wiggins against Lillard. 58 seconds left to play in the third quarter. And too long on the shot. Now the Warriors with it. They're on a 15 to 5 run. The shot by Luni, no good. Yeah, we're not used to see him get bottled up like that. Wow. There's the three. Lillard can't get it to go. Guys, this hasn't been his quarter. I mean, to me, just doesn't look completely comfortable or confident. Wiggins passes to Curry. Thompson, right side. Pass to Luni. Just five on the clock, green. The rebound by Beasley. Milwaukee has gone just 1 to 5 from 3-point range here in the third quarter. against Wiggins, Lillard passes to Anacompo. Milwaukee, no good that time either. Green for three. Oh, and the release was before the buzzer, but it's off target. And so it's Clay Thompson making highlights for Golden's... And now we have a moment to reveal our State Farm assist of the game. Talk about painting a magnificent picture with that, Don. Just a great decision and a perfect delivery. And they'd love to see every possession in this way. True team basketball. And there have been two very different performances from these teams today, as we get going in quarter number four. Bobby Portis out there with Danilo Gallinari. Then it's Patrick Beverly, then there's Damien Lillard, and it's Beasley in at the small forward position. That's the five on the floor for the bucks. And here's Curry for three. He buries it from three. And the Warriors lead by 17. All five of the last buckets they've given up have been from downtown. Well, the defense just hasn't pressed up to deny any of those looks, guys. I mean, they're hanging back and getting picked apart. Neruba passes to Harris. Here's Pajemski. Back to Peyton. Harris on the wing, shoots over Beasley. Harris's shot is good. The assist numbers certainly stand out. They've really emphasized ball movement here today. Clearly just an example of a different mindset between these teams. And that one's good, Lillard. He's thrilled one from deep in the first half, doing it again here in the second. Golden State calls timeout. And the Warriors making a switch here. Looney's checked in. And they've been moving the ball really well tonight. Good things come to those who take good shots. 13 feet out, rebounded by the Bucks. Easley for three. But Jimsky grabs the board. The Warriors have gone two of three to open the fourth quarter. To the paint. Here's Curry. Good setup. Let him to the rack perfectly for the layup. Curry's got five points now this quarter. Milwaukee is gone, one for three in the fourth quarter from range. Timeout called Milwaukee. Yeah, hoping to tap into something that'll get them clicking. Yeah, and, you know, that's going to be the focus of this timeout. They need to come up with a spark to get the offense going. A different look for Milwaukee. Lopez, he's checked in for Golanari. Yonis Anadacompo comes in for Portis, and Middleton subbed in for Beverly. Here's Anadacumpo. Lopez finds Middleton. Now here's Lillard. Lopez is screen on Curry. Lillard with the ball, and Loonie picks him up defensively. Lopez for three, and the Bucks miss again. Ooh, that's a tough break. After poor communication defensively, it leaves them all by himself. They are passing the ball around tremendously right now. Here's on it, Akumbo. And Janice with the dump. Yonis is a monster around the rim. Too easy there. Outside Curry, pass to Pajimski. And here's Harris. Curry with it. Here's Pajemski. Launches a three. Rebounded by Lopez. Lopez has got his fourth rebound in this one. They double him with Curry. Middleton outside. The three ball. And it's Harris with the rebound. The Warriors have gotten four shots out of six attempts to drop so far on the fourth. Basket's good. Curry's got nine points now in the quarter. Huge night for Curry in a great rhythm thus far. That's always bad news for the team he's facing. Beasley outside. Pass to Lopez. That one's good. He is so tough to deal with inside. Lopez, just too big and too skilled. And now let's take a look at the new balance, player of the game, Stefan Curry. Well, because he was a reliable scoring option all game long, his team was not hesitant…
