HiveReactKit Development Update: Time & Comment UX Fixes, Upvote List Redesign & Snap Badge Improvements

Transcript

Hello everyone, in this update, I'm going to share few UX improvements that we have added to Hive React Kit. For your information, Hive React Kit is an open source package which we have built. For those who are building applications on Hive with the help of React.js, they can just plug in Hive React Kit and start using the components that we have captured within the Hive React Kit. And for your information, Hive Suite application is built on top of IVE React Kit. First thing first, the timestamps, okay? we have now cleaner and more consistent timestamp across the feeds. Instead of long or inconsistent date formats, posts, post details now uses short time ago format like 5 minute ago, 2 minute ago, 3 days ago like that. So time handling is also UTC based, so feeds we have more consistently across the time zone. The comment navigation is also improved. Author names and avatars inside comments are now clickable. that over there, sorry, so that's post details and over here you can see that in this lexon I have highlighted the time ago format and over here you can see the username is highlighted so the author names and avatars are basically clickable so that user can quickly open the author's profile directly from a given discussion. I've also cleaned up the rendered post and in that we have removed unwanted light tools, promotional footers. This helps reduce clutter and keeps the post more clean and easier to read. You can see over here, the upvote list also is redesigned. It has a cleaner vote breakdown pop-up with all the voter details, voter value, curation rewards, and on top of that we also have sorting options for vote value, voter name, newest vote, and so on. Finally, high suite bag system is also now more consistent, the badge is unified as HighSuite for HighSuite ecosystem application, while External App posts stay cleaner without unnecessary branding. So let me give you an example over here. Most probably, okay, so I missed getting the screenshot, but basically, whenever we are looking at a feed, if a content is published from High Suite, you will see a smaller tag or a badge, and so with that, it would be easier for users to find that, okay, this was published from High Suite. Overall, this update makes higher React kit cleaner, more consistent and for users, it's easy to navigate across page and for developers, it's easy to integrate ready-made UI in their React application. So I hope that the work we do you like and if you like, please hit the vote button and to keep us going to keep us motivated vote us as your eyewitness. That's it for this video, see you in the next one. Bye bye.
