@therealflaws: I also have a sort of attachment to this song, I met it in a rock themed gastrobar, as soon as I heard it I asked a friend I worked with for the name and since then it has been one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are simply beautiful, and I think Johnny Cash with his voice/way of interpreting this song gave it a much more nostalgic and powerful touch. This song is just too incredible, unfortunately Johnny's wife died 1 2 months after the original video was shot; and then he died months later. After all, he couldn't live without his life partner, but this legacy he left us is simply a way of showing us that it's never too late to get over ourselves. I send you a hug, you interpreted this song in an incredible way.
