@babygirl888: Real engagement is serious business and the hard workers trying to keep the social part of hive alive through active comments should be rewarded accordingly and it’s great to know that these teams are working hard on it. I spend hours every till my eyes hurts 😂 as a newbie trying to engage and connect with people. I feel motivated when I get curations from top comment showing it sees me and am also a beneficiary from comment rewarded of late. I was so happy the first day I got a tip few days back. It’s so encouraging. Real commenting can be a Herculean task and every support for commenters is commendable. The top comment and comment reward teams are doing a great job. Kudos to them
@josediccus: I guess if we allowed AI comments many people will begin to utilize it, because of how lazy they might become to reply comments on their posts. We've fought AI issues in the past and to be very honest if we allow it, Hive will become a cesspool for people who just want to farm and nothing else. I see the idea for topcomment. It's a very good initiative, it's not perfect, but its purposes are genuine and can encourage altruistic and natural engagement
@lauramica: Good interview! I listened to the whole thing, by the way to practice my English listening 😅. As I said before, I'm glad that this project is being given visibility because I think it's something we're missing as a community. Encouraging engagement in comments not only shows an interest in reading, but also a desire to interact with each author. Thank you so much for this space and for sharing the talk with everyone. I hope people start mention @topcomment account in comments they find valuable so we can support them 😃. And I hope the project continues to grow. Congratulations @friendlymoose for the great idea!
@duskobgd: Great show was yesterday! I did the challenge, although i had the topcomment vote before, but i think the author of the post helped the comment to be recognized by tagging it 🙂 (or the script did the job). I will see in the coming days, I will try to attract recognition with interesting and useful comments. PS. So it's not too bad to delegate my HP for interesting projects, which I occasionally increase by investing in Hive and HP? But a smaller part, as you advised 🙂
@seckorama: Radim ko crnac, stalno sam vani, nikako ne dođem u vreme.... več sam u zaostatku za jedno tri podcasta :) But the @topcomment thing is a very original idea :) 😜 If you call AI in the comments for an answer and it answers you, that's not a bad thing either, but of course, it should have learned it first. For example, when you call Grok(from X) for something, you can post it or not. Well, people will exploit this in all sorts of ways, haha. But let's not be Luddites. Now, I'm going to listen to the whole story... 😎
@jfang003: It's a nice project. I never really thought about AI being used for comments. It's an interesting way to think about those spam links. I guess SEO might be a good reason for them, but I thought that SEO wasn't very good for ranking on the Hive front ends.
