Hello, today we are checking out the demo for Sir, we have an orc problem. Now I've played through everything that exists on this demo so far, and it's been really, really fun, so let's jump into it. It is a tower defense, so... Kind of just exactly what you would expect from a tower defense. You've got some pointing, some clicking, and you're going to build some towers as soon as we lose here. So, it's fairly straightforward, you kill a bunch of orcs, right? We've got 31 kills, we've got two little diamonds, and diamonds are going to allow us to purchase upgrades. So we start with the gunner. You can go down the missile damage, more gunners. So this is the gunner tree, the missile tree, this is when you left click. You can get extra resources, and you can get extra health, as well as like some various other things. So we'll look at that more in just a second here. For right now, I'm going to get this plus three, and then we're going to buy a couple of these here next round. So we're going to give level one another go, and we are going to put... This, right here. It's not going to kill a ton of these guys, but it's going to kill some of them. It's definitely going to help us. And then, yeah, our health is going down, so we'll lose here. Get a total of seven diamonds. Give me one second here. I just want to see that the sound effects are a little bit. loud in OBS here, so we'll turn that down a little bit, and we're going to grab some more gunners, and then we're going to increase our shots per second, and yeah, let's grab so a little bit more missile damage. As you can see, as we go through, these trees expand. Now, anything that's yellow, right, so like this, the laser, or explosive orcs, you can see it right there is not in the demo. So there are things that are kind of gated. for when this actually releases. And that's good, that's cool. We like that. Let's see here. So, now you can leave these guys as a wide open cone, right? I'll show you what happens here. So this will go kind of back and forth in the cone that you've set up. I find that... Oftentimes, it's more effective to, at least in the demo here, pick a specific range that it's shooting. I kind of forgot these guys bounced off of this area here. They act a little bit like fluid, honestly. They kind of hit a wall, and then they'll bounce around, so. Let's see here, what do we want to do? We'll grab a... I think we'll go with more shots and more damage. I'll spend two on this. We'll get a bunch of shots. And, okay, that'll be it for this one. Now, this guy, we're going to pull back. and let's just have these guys firing at the same area. We're gonna left click to blow up some of these guys, especially these big guys. Oh, we're missing some. Too many coming through this. When we up our damage, that will get better. So we did survive this time, our health was 10, so we did get our first red orb, which is handy. We can get a bunch of different options, having done this. I think if we come through, we come to here, I believe we can get a cannon. So cannons will penetrate. It's your first penetrating option. We've got a flamethrower option that will set it out of flame. It does various dots-based damage, basically. We've got mortar shells that will cause a big blast area. I think for what we're doing, it will make the most sense to grab. Let's go with Flames, let's try that. Last time I went for a cannon first, but we will grab a flamethrower, let's increase our resources at the end of the battle, and let's do a little bit of more damage with our cliques. Now we could skip to level two, but we could earn an extra resource by killing all of the orcs in this level. We're going to skip to level two just so you guys can see that. and let's see here, so now I have, of course, played all of these maps before, so I haven't a pretty good idea of where good choke points are for things like the Flamethrower. And you know what, actually, we're going to right-click, we're going to take this guy away, we're going to move him up here. I think maybe what we'll do is we'll just set him. right in there and then we will take these two and we'll just fire into the pack that's going to come there and we will put it in the wrong spot and then we will fire down this way. Let's see how we do here. So there's 2,000 orks coming this time instead of the, what, 200 that it was last time. I mean, you can get up to a thousand, or 100,000 orks, I believe, is the last level in the demo right now. So it's a fairly simple game. You can kind of see how it goes already. But as far as a fun little tower defense, where you're pulling out, you know, cool, cool items. It is a lot of fun. Let's go with... Do we want more fire damage per tick? More range. More guns. I think we're going to go with an extra gunner tower. more shots per second. We're going to cap off power gunner damage. There we go. Yep. Perfect. And when you come into a map that you've previously played, your prior setup is going to remain. You know what? Actually, let's come right here. And just go like this, I think. Now, let's open them up. Let's go like that. All right, so this guy's going to go back and forth. These guys are going to get burned a little bit. If we shoot right here, it'll do a little bit more damage for the orcs that are on fire. So we've killed 270 of them. There's still a thousand left, right? So we're definitely going to lose, but we make incremental progress. each time we do. Penetration, this is 150, so we're definitely not going to get that this time, but we've got penetration and ticks per second, so that our flamethrower does a little bit more damage. What we're going to do is we're going to move this guy down here as well, and... Let it go, right like that, I think. Now some of these guys are probably going to manage to get around the fire without it hurting them, like that big guy there did. But that's not a huge deal right now. Once we get a little bit more range on this gun, it will definitely help. Having the penetration cannon right here. would be a big win at the moment. It's going to be a little bit harder since we don't have that. We're going to increase the range, and let's increase our damage. Okay. There we go. So everybody's getting cooked. That's good. We like to see that. forks are getting through currently. We're still going to lose for sure, but we are doing better than we had been in prior runs. Increase our shots per second and get some more some more guns out here. This will do that. And then we'll have this guy overlapping like this, I think. Oh yeah, see, this guy's a little bit too high. It stops shooting right there, so I've angled him wrong for the way that these orcs are coming through. That's not a big deal, because we can just change it. Let's go with more shots per second, and we'll increase our end game. Once we get two flamethrowers, I'll replace this guy with a flamethrower. So they cook here a little bit, they take some various ticks of damage, and then they get down further and start getting more roasted. It's a fairly short game. As you can see, because we're already getting through a bunch of the tree here. And you guys kind of get an idea of how this plays. I would like to finish this map before I stop, though. So let's see. Get another flamethrower tower. more fire duration and more fire hurt. Remove that cool down, you can get a strafing run, which sets up a specific area on the map that just kind of gets bombed over and over and over again. Pull him back in. Put this like that. And then this guy. I bet you we could just go like this, and it would help quite a bit. Now, that said, he's going to miss a bunch of the people that are coming in right here. So if we go like this, it's going to get us a pretty good angle on everything. Yeah, there we go. We're cooking these guys now. And once you have everything kind of unlocked, once you see how the map works for each map, you can start playing with, right, or setting it up so that all of your machines are at a specific bottleneck or whatever. You can have a little bit of fun with how you go about defending your map. I missed one. We could have gotten that one for sure. We'll upgrade, and let's grab the cannon. With extra penetration, range would be nice. We'll double the penetration, do a bit more damage, and then here we'll show you. If I bring this guy, oh, let's get rid of you. I'm gonna move you out of the way, move you out of the way a little bit. Pull this guy in, right like that. Now if we start battle, anything through, I think, two to begin with, you can increase that so that it will travel through more people. The larger orcs are functionally like two or three smaller orcs. Right. And yeah, it's a fun little tower defense, really. This time we'll get our square for sure. I don't think any of these. That guy could be a problem, I guess. Yep, there we go. So we've got our square. So we go to upgrades, and the square lets us do things like automatic missiles. or power shot for every fifth shot the cannon gets is bigger and has more penetration. There's various little things you can unlock with your special square resource, I guess, the word I'm going for. Yeah, but that's a pretty good overview, I think, of the demo. It's a demo on Steam. I... have really enjoyed it. It will be one that I keep an eye on. I have wish listed it, so definitely consider doing the same. Pop it on and see if you like it.
