Hey, this is a recording primarily for Django, quite honestly. I wanted to show off Obsidian. Obsidian is one of the single best knowledge repository and journaling products I've ever seen. I've used a lot. All right, in my time, I've used Evernote, I've used Notion, OneNote, I've used Udels of... books, and, and, um, notepads, moleskin, I've got so many things, um, piled up behind me here. Um, but for my day-to-day use and for sort of device-to-device, um, knowledge repository, this is the be-all and all. Um, and for a, kind of a couple of reasons, right? it is fast, all right, the big thing here is that it allows you to create connections between your various thoughts and topics, right? So I can see, you know, what connects to RSP growth, right? I'm in Canada, so RSPs, I can see, you know, kind of when I'm tracking that and things like that, I can see when I am reading different books, right? I've got some template set up here. that help me do various different things, right? If I want to track my debts for each year, right, my, you know, van registrations, credit cards, et cetera, things like that, I have this here. I've got a date set up so I can just kind of quickly put in dates. I've got a book template, and how this works is, if I was to create a new note about a new book, right? Let's say I'm reading... I'm reading Parade of Horribles, but let's say I was reading the Bible, I don't know. Then I can come in here, I can press hotkey to get to my template and go to books.temp, and it's going to put all this front matter in here. So this front matter is super, super useful, right? I can put in an author, I can put in genre tags, I can put in how many pages it is, I can link to Goodreads or whatever, you can kind of see here. I've been using it in the past, and... And then when I have done this, I can pull up a base, right, about a book. This is kind of like a, it's SQL -like, right? It's data manipulation on your notes. And I can see all of this information based off my filters, right, based off of the properties that I want to show. You know, if I wanted to say, hey, only show me. books that I've read in the last year, right? I can do that, I can say, hey, completed reading is before 26-01, so what did I read last year? Nothing, right? So, you can do this kind of data manipulation on your notes. in this way as well. So, but also, right, so, like, all of these are just wiki-style links. I can pop from, let's say, today's note, right? I can say, red of horribles, right? And so this creates a note that is... I can look at my local graph, and all of a sudden I've connected today's date to parade of horribles. I can look at my main graph here, and I can find, I can find in here, parade of horribles right there, right? So, like, I've just created this connection. And by doing this, this is maybe not the best one to show off because it's not my D&D, this is my personal, vault, but you can see the connection between various things in your notes, and you can find connections that maybe you didn't notice before. And, like, for people that are doing, like, book studies and stuff like that, when you're learning, when you're, when you're finding out, you know, how your, how your notes... work in relation to things that you're learning, it's really, really powerful. And it's quick to set up, right? Like, you can, anything that you wrap in double quotes, whether or not it's an existing note, will get, like, a wiki-style entry, and some of them are stubs that don't exist yet, and some of them are things that do. So, like, if I went to, I need to learn about... Concrete or whatever, right? So Concrete is a stub. It isn't connected to anything. If I wanted to create a note about concrete, as an example, I can click it, or I can, you know, Control Enter, right? And it's going to create this note, and it's going to drop it down here. You can create a daily note. You've got all kinds of community plugins. So in the community plugins here, there's a few things that I really like. I like Calendar, that's this. I like Admonition. Admonition allows us to insert, that's not what I meant to do, insert callouts. So a callout is something like this, and in this we can say, yeah, as my abstract, right? and then when we click off of it, we've got this sort of little bubble, and it's going to change depending on what we have here. You can also set them up to be hidden by default. That's not it. It's this. Yeah, and so you have to toggle to expand it. There's a lot that this can do. I've got a little playlist thing here, so I can listen to music while I am in my notes, right? Because oftentimes I find that if I'm at my computer, a big part of what always gets me is I get distracted looking at other nonsense, right? Something else on my computer will pull me out of this. But this allows me to add the kind of things that would normally get me to... spend five minutes, you know, searching up a song or something, right into, right into Obsidian itself. So, like, I can have soundscapes to have kind of chill background music while I'm writing. I can quickly and easily add and edit notes. I can see the connections that they make. And you can do this for anything, right? Like, I keep... you know, notes, very simple notes about the games that I'm playing, right? If I'm playing any games, right? This one, for example, right? So, we've been playing some Caves of Cud, getting a few pennies for our time, and having fun with that, right? So, um... It's a really, really good tool. I really highly recommend it. It's free. It's awesome. There's all kinds of different themes that you can get. If you don't like the way that it looks, there's a ton of different themes that you can get that are pretty much seamless, whether you like, you know, dark light, whatever, and something in between. Nothing. for me, has come even close to the speed and usefulness of this tool. Everything that I want to do here, outside of heavy data manipulation, is here, right? So check it out. It's obsidian.md.md definitely very, very highly recommend it. It's very, very good. You can set up multiple vaults, right? I don't think this will let me pop through to my... Let's see here. I'm going to see if I can. Yeah, I can't transition to my D&D one, but that's okay. You can have multiple up in the same time, and it's really, really, really good. I highly recommend. I hope this was helpful. If you have any questions, hit me up. I'm more than happy to rant about Obsidian, literally any time. All right, that's it. That's it for me.

@jacobtothe: I bet this would be a great tool for general worldbuilding, especially if one gets complex with social dynamics and general economics as suggested by The Grainbound. This would help track connections, alliances, rivalries, resource dependencies, and no much more for that, right? @generikat: check this out!
