I have seen many people spiral downwards and have mental health issues which can effect the person's ability to find and secure a new job. @mamaemigrante: It is really an undesirable situation, but it also puts us at a fork in the road that we can get out of if we do not despair. The thing is when there are children involved, since the commitment is much greater, but still keeping calm you can get to find the golden opportunity that we both implore at times like these.
