Important Update about 3Speak

Okay, I wanted to make a quick video to more or less show you guys what is going on with 3-Speak right now, some of the changes that we've made, because I feel like there's some confusion, like what's going on, like why is this different, I don't see the progress of the encoding and what have you. Long story short, we're simplifying it a lot, and the reason for it, I think, I mean, I hope it's obvious. The more simple, the less chances of it breaking, the less chances of it giving us problems. One of the goals that we had for this new update for this new system is that we would detach completely the idea of posting on Hive from the idea of uploading a video. So what do I mean by that is that when you upload a video now on 3Speak and you post, the post is made. the post lives on Hive, and on the back end, the video is going to be processing. So you don't have to worry about posting later, or will it post, or is the script not posting, or did they get stuck? Because if you post it, it's posted. The video, the player itself, is going to either show processing or show the video itself, or if you ever delete it, it will show deleted. So now, the way that it works, I'm logged in with one of my test accounts, and I'm going to... show you guys how simple it is to upload a video now. I'm going to use the videos that I always use. So, a video I have me working on one of our horses, one of our, I can't even speak this morning, proceed to thumbnails, select the thumbnail that you want, proceed to details, I would write a title here about this video, and then in here, of course, whatever I want. This is my horse. Oreo. I was cleaning the hooves. Is that how you spelled? I think that's how you spelled. This is a test. Test video, no need to upvote. So now, down here, of course, as always, you put your tags, in this case it's a test. I am going to decline rewards for obvious reasons. Here you would change the communities. I am going to post this in... I don't know, let's do, is there a test community? I don't remember. ThreeSpeak tests, here we go. We do have a test community. So I'm going to post it there, proceed, and then it's going to give me the preview. Okay, so that's how it's going to be, blah, blah, video preview, though I like it. It's good to go post video. The video, believe it or not, is already generated in the system, meaning that the URL is already created. And as soon as this uploading is done, it's going to prompt me to sign the posting. So this is already posting on Hive. You can't see it, I think you cannot see it, I'm not sure, on the recording, but Keychain just popped up for me, and I'm going to hit Confirm, and then I'm going to close, and boom. I'm going to hit, again, confirm, one is for the thumbnail, and the other one is for the posting on Hive. Confirm, done, close, that's it. I'm done. I don't have, I don't know how long it's going to take to process. It's processing, as you can see here on my page, it says processing. But if you want to know what's going on, you're like, hey, no, but I really want to know what's going on with my video. The Gateway Monitor had a revamp today. So now if you go to Gateway-Monditor .3.3.tv, and you go to direct encoding jobs right here, you're going to see everything that is happening. So as you can see, Kumol is here. This is the video being processed. It's being processed by our encoding not Eddie. It's 100% it's done. So what does that mean? That if now I go to Kumol, let's say on Peak D, right? And I see the posts that Kumol has done. It's already there. If this is not, the video is not processed, like I said, this is going to show an animation. But it processed, obviously, so now you can see it. But the point is that if you abandon the processing, meaning I upload it and then I go away, then the video never gets posted on the hive because you were the one that was supposed to post it. I think what's happening a lot right now is that people are uploading the video thinking, okay, yeah, it's uploaded, it's good to go, and then they go away. This will be the equivalent of you uploading an image into a post and then closing the tab. I hope that demystifies a little bit of what's going on. And I think this is the case, because I see, for example, this account here, Tab Hut 6T9, who uploaded the same video, 876 megabytes, by the way, three times, and it succeeded. It worked. He just never hit post. He never posted the video. Also, an account, Jeroselan, did the same thing. Four times. He never hit post. He just let it upload, and then, I don't know, went on its merry way to go do something. So yeah, that is it for this PSA. Hopefully, this clears up the new system. I've been getting some feedback from people. We are going to change the orders, so the videos are on the top, not on the bottom, and maybe for the video to start uploading as you are filling information. I think that makes sense. But at the end, you are still going to have to hit Post. You're still going to have to post on Hive. just like you hit Post and Hive when you do S&C or PICD after you upload an image. Okay, that's it. Too much rambling.
