@khushboo108: Beautiful photos. Truly, the things created by nature are amazing.

@jacey.boldart: THey are singing here too, but we have both and I don't know enough about them, but there are two different ones here who come out at different amount of years, but every so often, like this year, they both come up the same year and talking about a whirl that sounds like alien space ships whirling through the sky..... well, some nights are louder than others and sometimes it's almost a pleasant softer whirr in the day. So neat.

@mnurhiver: The animal is very beautiful and I like looking at its eyes which are quite beautiful.

@riyat: Wow, there are lots of crickets. It's a myth where I live that if the crickets appear, it's a sign that the long dry season will start 😃

@bencwarmer: They're not so beautiful! ahahahah !LOLZ

@zirochka: OMG... They are so big! I heard how they go so many times and I always wondered how they look. Never saw cicadas alive. You are brave! I wouldn't dare to take it up, or even approach to take a close up photo 😅

@ph1102: Wow! Nature is astonishing... 17 years in the dirt for a (party) life of 4 6 weeks! 😃

@theringmaster: Wow Mel I Actually love how you explained the 17 year cicadas The pictures as always are clear amazing, especially the one with all the exoskeletons. Must be so noisy but interesting to experience. Thanks for sharing dearest Mel

@servelle: It's the first time I've heard of 17 years cicadas, and it's impressive. I'm used to cicadas in the south of France, which are also quite big and noisy, but it's not unpleasant. !BEER

@palomap3: Oh, nature never ceases to surprise!! It is incredible that an insect can live in hiding for so many years only to mate and disappear forever in a few weeks. Wonderful. 😍

@joanstewart: Cicadas are absolutely fascinating within their life cycle, have not seen any here for about ten years. What an awakening in the forest you live in! Nice song for short periods. @tipu curate

@cmplxty: Ah that would explain the holes in the ground I’ve been seeing lol I dislike the buggers but they do look cool sometimes!

@rafzat: I’ve always thought Cicadas bite people though Nice pictures
