recording there. Oh, look, I'm getting a notification. Ready, Spino has started recording. Ah, and my phone just said, this call now is being recorded, so maybe this is the way to go. So, yeah, I guess we are starting. This is Hangout number 8, according to Tip Fox, so if it's off, it's his fault. So welcome, welcome, whoever's listening to these videos. I know that, is it a four week or four key, I would say it wrong. he's always leaving us comments and stuff, he's always watching the stuff, he's staying on top of what we are doing. He's a big fan of your work tips, like he was giving you a lot of props for everything that you've been doing on 3Speak. The other day, as a matter of fact, the other day, he said to somebody that he believes that 3Speak now is better than YouTube, and that's like a lot due to you. In some ways, in some ways, I think. I mean, it's crazy to say, everybody. I mean, I didn't say it. He said it. So anyways, this is the first video that you see of on the Kiyasoft, this is a hangout we try to do every week, and the idea of this hangout is to have full transparency of what it is that we are doing in the group, what it is that we are building on Hive. And this is not to say, there's not a possibility that we would bring up something that is not Hive related, and just unlikely, you know, but we could, some of us could participate of other projects. And I'm just saying that because Eddie, the other day, showed me, show me another project, something that the guys from Cardano are doing, something called midnight, and it's a very interesting proposition, and it could be something that, I think, could be integrated into Hive as well. There could be some sort of bridge happening there, but that's not for this conversation. But I don't believe that in any way, shape, of form is good to have these walls built between projects. So I think cross-pollination is a good thing. that's maybe the main reason that VSE, also known as Magi, or Magi, also known as VSE, whatever we're going to call it, is possibly so important for our beloved blockchain, because it's an attempt to bring down those walls. And on that front, Tibbs has been doing quite a bit of work. I'm sure he'll talk about that stuff when it's just starting to speak. We do have Kessel joining us today. I think I remember you saying tips that you won't be able to join next week or the week after. You got something going on. Both. Is it related to you? You're traveling or no? It's not related to the event. First is my girlfriend's birthday next week. And the week after this, I will go on holiday in the Netherlands with a camper van. Yeah, like spring break or more or less? Yeah, it's Eastern, Easter holiday, kind of. Easter holiday, yeah, we call that here Semana Santa, which is Easter holiday here in Latin America, it's Semana Santa with Holy Week, I know how. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's, yeah, Jesus. Where I live now, we also have it, but I think people still work. Maybe the Friday they don't, but the rest of the week, I want to say everybody just, it's normal. Maybe I'm wrong. But yeah, but that's awesome. I mean, and after that, when is the event in Spain happening? From the 30th of April. to the 3rd of May. So it will be... One, two, three... Yeah, so in the last April week, let's say. It's in one, two, three, four, five, six, seven weeks. Seven weeks. I'm sure you're looking forward to that. Yeah. I think at some point in time you were worried about not having enough to talk about, and now I think you have too much to talk about. You have to pick. You can't really sit, you know, fraud him an audience for three hours, they get bored, so you have to convince it, you know, 40 minutes stops. I mean, I've been told this, and not that I'm an expert, I've been told, and try to just give them the meat and the potatoes, otherwise it just tune out. It's like, ah. Yeah, we have many, many speakers. So we have some people from World Mappen. I will talk about three speak, about Magi. Then we have living UK Taiwan, who is talking about community building, Paola Map 3, about writing posts. So it's a broad space, not only about the depths and what is new or whatever, so it's more. soft skill like. So I will show people the editor. I will show them how easy it is to interact with people on shorts, and I will not go into detail what three speakers and how cool the decentralization is and all that stuff, because mainstream people, we hope that mainstream people come there. Yeah. You know, there's a theory in music that I think it applies very much to software as well. Yeah, I think you guys know I'm a musician. And musicians, when you specialize a lot when you've been playing for a long time, you get really, I don't know what you would call it, but it's almost like, you start to be seduced by the idea of elitist mentality, so then you're so like, oh, I don't want to do normal, what is that chord? That's a normal court, I don't want to do that chord. And you start doing odd timings, odd chords, odd harmonies, and all the stuff, because you want to, surprise yourself, you want to do something that nobody has done before, which is honestly mathematically impossible, but that's another point. But then you go down that path so bad, then you stop making music that regular humans consume. People will only listen to reggaeton and things like that. Yeah, yeah. The simple music, I mean. Yeah, that's why it never going to be my audience, right? But the point is that... that you get so crazy with all these chords and stuff that then you stop making music for people and you make music for musicians like you and your and your niche becomes smaller and smaller and smaller and it's not ideal for many, many reasons. But the main one is if you ever want to live off music, you know, you probably don't want to do that. I think apps, there's a parallel path, you know, because if you make an app that is very niche, meaning, oh, no, in order for you to use this path, you've got to be what we call a power user. like, oh, you've got to be comfortable in terminal, you've got to be comfortable using CLI tools. I mean, of course you can find an audience for it. It is obvious. I mean, you are, if you use it, that means that there's an audience. But the more specialized it is, the smaller your audience and thus, you're probably, you're probably shooting yourself in the foot. Now, that said, it doesn't mean that things cannot be complex. I think three speakers of projects is very, very complex. But the point, just like, you can do it with music you can be really complex on the back end on how things work very easy to use on the front end so like all everything intuitive and might be doing crazy stuff oh this whole thing is decentralized there's like not a single point of failure everything's but you know there's like three or four fallback so every single step on beautiful but from the from the perspective of the user i just click on this thing and yeah that's kind of what we're achieving and i think that's why i i love so much the you know what the products that we're we're putting up yeah i'm really proud of this group um well let's get started then eddie i as always you i don't know why but it's been the it's been now the protocol excuse me i'm just i'm just going to carry catch my get my notebook i will listen to you eddie i'm not bored okay so so this week was a little bit more more calm for me. I didn't do because I was busy with other stuff, but something that I did that I want to talk about is that I have this cool little app called bene.aliento .blok, which calculates the amount of beneficiary rewards earned by a specific account on the last seven days, in the last 24 hours, seven days, and 30 days. That's something that I did so the encoders can check how much, they can have an easy way to check how much beneficiaries, regards they're getting, or any account in general. But I added something else that is the voting, how much, which I think is still a little bit off. I still, I think I need to tweak it. But how many votes has an account given to other users? and how many votes they have received from several accounts. So if you put add Mino and you can see how to which accounts Mino has voted to, in which percentage, and there's a little pie chart that can be also improved, and how many accounts on another tab, how many accounts has Mino voted, received votes from. So that's something that I did yesterday. It's something that I tried to build it in a standalone app like a few weeks ago, but it was like starting from zero. So let's say, well, let's use the same structure, the same tables, and the same APIs that we were already using. And just let's create on the same app, on the beneficiaries app, let's create this function that I know we have it on, for example, HiveTasks.com. but it doesn't always work for me or I have to change the Hive API. So I mean the RPC sometimes? The default ones, so you have to go to the settings and change them and sometimes you have to adjust that. So this way anyone can check it. And it's a cool way to have, like, more transparency to, so you can make, go down the gossip road and check which accounts are voting who and which accounts are receiving both from. Yeah, I have something to tell you on this front that I just remembered this morning, because I, a long time ago, I'm not going to talk about maybe two years ago now, I came up with, like, some math. You know, I know that's like a nerdy thing to say, but I came up with some math to assess the quality of a curator, so to speak. Okay. So, meaning, you know, because if a curator, if somebody's voting for one specific account or just two or three accounts, then you would say that's not really a... a curator. It could be somebody who's really, and I hate to say it, because this is like fighting words, but it's somebody who's circle jerking or possibly voting on himself through, you know, sock puppet accounts. Yeah, so it's something that, that, that it's frowned upon in the community, but there's also, there's also an argument of how economically damaging such a thing is, you know, because you're basically centralized in power, you're not growing the network effect, et cetera, et cetera. So there's a conversation to be had on that front. So I have like this white paper, so to speak, I'm going to give it to you. I think I was calling it curator qualifications or something. I had a better name than that, but it's like one out of five, you know, a five-star curator would be one that distributes the votes everywhere, but there's also things to take into account. If it's a, if it's a curation account specifically, you know, then obviously it should be distributing big time but if it's something like let's say posh uh which it which it then arguably you have to take that also and there's there's different it's different weights for how you vote uh the details are escaping me i thought of this for a few days until i came up with it and then i presented it to at that time to uh spirit search because i wanted to do a little app for it and Spirit Search, oh, this is a great idea, let me, like, I'm going to integrate it, and it's like, okay, I'm not going to do it, because Spirit Search is going to do it, and he has the team, and, you know, at that time, I wasn't, I wasn't doing what I'm doing now. I was barely playing with ChitpT and stuff, and kind of learning, again, how to interact with the Hyde Blockchain and doing a little bit of, of what they call Python scripts, as I've always played with. uh but now i think you could easily integrate it to your app and that way and so i mean it would be very cool like you go okay look at the votes and then look at your curator score and then i have like okay i think it'll be kind of cool so i'll give you that uh remind me and so i have it on hackmd somewhere and so you can enter and it's yeah like i said all the math is there so you can feed it to to your a i i'm sure it'll be like oh let's make a utility and it does this by the way how are you pulling that information are you using half sql Are you hitting the API? No, the APIs, uh-huh, the normal APIs. I don't remember exactly which one, because it was like trial and error, but I'm just hitting the APIs directly like. But not, like, I gave a half SQL, the half SQL, and from there is getting the data. You know that Block Trade said, this is, I know, because I listened to the interview again yesterday, I was looking for something. I think I asked you, Eddie, about it. Thank you, Love. That, ideally, he wants all apps, all apps to move to half. So, I don't know if, let's call a legacy API calls are going to be deprecated. I would assume that if eventually they would be. what he really wants, and this is a performance issue, there's a, there's a type of blocking of transaction that happens when you're hitting, when you're hitting the legacy APIs for doing some fetches and also doing some writings, and there's like a, some sort of bottleneck there. I don't remember the details of the moment he explained it, but obviously he knows. 10 times more than I do about the subject and half escrowe fixes it so ideally he would want to be everything that is information displaying to be moved to half okay and then just do writing I guess with legacy that would be the first step and then eventually everything half okay that that was when I was when I started doing this kind of app that that was like my fear am I like forcing these APIs with this type of calls, am I maybe, because they are public APIs, am I maybe, like, not damaging, but maybe make them work more than they should? So, I think that having that type of documentation, or maybe having that skill on cloud that you can only plug to it and people that don't know all of these things about Hive, they can, they can easily fetch that type of data from there, I think it will be ideal for hard development. If you want to be a hero, Eddie, spending a good week working on making a cloud skill hive expert, that would be amazing. And honestly, it would just be... It would just be time-consuming because you would have to maybe go through a lot of our repos and be like, oh, this is how we handle this, because we discovered how to do things the most optimal way by trial and error, because the documentation, even though it's not bad, by comparison to other blockchains, I think it's great, because I don't know if you guys ever looked at other, it's horrible. But. there's a lot of stuff that you only figure out if you try to if you try to do it and they're like okay that's not how that's not how like voting calculation for example the information the docs is off I was playing with it yesterday and I finally got it to work but the docs whatever it says not correct so if you if you wanted to like be a superhero for everybody who's developing on Hive if you were to make that a skill MD for a hive specialist for Claude and share that in Montequia ripo for people that want to develop, that would be amazing. Okay, yeah. Yeah, that would be very, very helpful. I, I'm not sure if Enrique has already done that because it's... Oh, he might have. He might have. He might have, because I know he was doing that for wax, but we have glass, we have hive half, and we have, like, different ways. to do this, so there are different ways maybe to get to the same result, but there's always a better way or a better road that can save us a lot of headed. But now what AI can do, I remember what, I don't remember which I actually, I was asking, hey, go through this route, but also go to this one, and the AI was like making a judgment call. It was like making tests and it found like, okay, with this route, I can get this information with this other route, I cannot get it. So let's go with that one. That's part of the experience. Welcome, I think. Kessel was joining? I think he joined, but I think I did. I hope I didn't reject him, I think. Maybe he got this, I keep connecting, okay. I didn't. I agree it. So, and another thing, that was with TIFOX, I gave him some feedback about the new creation panel that we're doing, like administrative, for a three-speak filtering of videos. And soon next week, we're going to change. how the curation is done and we're gonna plug the bot and the pot and you're gonna kill the bar creation no more bots that's that the idea is to to know to change how the curation is done because it is right now it's based on views and comments so we're we're gonna change that with more a little bit more minor curation, but we'll have a bigger, a bigger thing, not just me. I mean, I think on this one, I don't think anybody's going to push back on it. I think we should move away from automatic curation altogether, because I... Maybe eventually AI can pull it off, but even then. I mean, we're supposed to be a community, you know, so I don't want to be friends with your bot. So it makes more sense that we end up recruiting curators, people that we can trust, and give them the tools, just like you and Tim have been working on this little tools so that they can, you know, the community can leverage the high power that we manage. to motivate people to make content, the best content flows to the top. Because as you have you said before, they rigged it. They figured out, oh, you know, it's views things. So they're just hitting refresh, refresh, refresh to trigger the bot. And, you know, that kind of defeats the purpose. Or they recommend each other on circles, and maybe they don't even watch the video. So it, so it's, sadly, and this is not just on crypto, on Hive, it's just, and human behavior is it's all about creating the correct system of incentives. That's why at the same time, it's simple, but it's difficult. Because if you make it very restrictive, then people give up. If you make it too loose, then just people just, you know, game it and then cheat. But they, I know that the DIY hub, which is TIFOX pet project for years now. I don't know, you've had it for what, five, six years since the steam days, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, and we rebranded when we moved from Steam to Hiveton. Yeah, so for ages. So they have, he has a curator that he brought over, and then I think Somostakly was going to help, but I think we can add more people. To put a few names out there of people that I think are good people, and they demonstrate to be very supportive, this is girl from Venezuela called Cosita. She's always onboarding people, onboarding her students, supporting people. I think she's probably a good person. She's also on the Discord server. She could be somebody who could approach to help us with that. And I'm sure she would do it, to be honest. I was thinking some time ago that now that Hive has this multi-seek thing, maybe there could be like a curation panel, especially for creators, and I don't know, three or five people like the same video. and they may be rated from 1 to 5 or 1 to 100 maybe then depending on that type of rating the a bot or other other thing can vote but maybe that is more complex we can we can we can we can yeah it's like a lot of work for not a not a big win yeah yeah It's also not a lot of work for us, for the coders, it's also a lot of work for the curators, because you really need to watch every single video. It's like, I have a job now, my job is, you know, I want to have to watch three cents per month. But what we do need, and I think we are close to that, is just the community can report if a video is spam or if a video has, yeah. nudity or if a video has something else. Oh, yeah, yeah. Do we have that already? Did we integrate that? Reporting? No, it's in the backend. It's in the background, but we need to add it to the front end, I think. And how are we going to get the messages, by the way? Do we have a web hook or something that is going to be sent to Discord? How do we get? We need to…
