And hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, every single one of you, everyone. Welcome, to TFGP, and I am so back. I am really, really back for that second episode of the Fellow Gamer Podcasts. Hello, to the people are here in all of platforms, from Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok of LTG, and, of, and, of, smile network. And, of, of, of, in the And I am so excited because there are a lot of platforms now, hello, Nicky, welcome to the stream, every single one of you that are here on various platforms, I will check with you after the stream, and again, the, again, the tinalaked us The, what, what, what, what do you know, it is a PlayStation disc, right? PlayStation disc, um, continue, because, what happened, is, did you know, is, did we get a lawsuit. And currently, until now, dine-dnig-pah-din -pah-pah-dnig-on-lossot that law-sut, and currently, currently, I don't know what the implications of that. implications that what would you actually be all about, what is actually all about? Do on PlayStation? In the PlayStation, it's kind of discontinue, because, right? There's, no, no, every time L. And then, and then, this, this is secret. This is literal, it's just-passok just last time. GTA 6. GTA 6, again, GTA 6 will be, what are here? What do you? It will be region lock. What is she? That's the most worried, that's the, the that it's, it's, what's, what, it's, what, there's, there's, there's, that, you know, which is, it's, that, it's, that, it's, there, so, there's, there, so, there, so, there, so, there, many, what, like, there, chche-bo-reche-bore-chin that's happening in gaming space, but anyways, but, anyways, hey, no, I know, right, I know, right, no, I'm not, I'm gonna, but, but, Yeah, so, now, before we're back to doom posting from the last, TGI, from the last, the gamers podcast, yeah, THGP, sorry. Say, what, what topic our topic now, my dear friend. So, so, before we first we're going to come onto our topic for today, because... I'll just let me just want our platforms, because we're here again, because I'm, you know, live now live, we're live, we're live, so we're live, so smile network, yes, smile channel, JLR, 1620 kilohertz of Manila SDR, and also in Coole TV, I'm And in all the social media channels of Cool TV, Smile, and Lata Gaming, welcome, welcome, so the Falgamer podcast. And, again, I am proud that you're here again, sacred, and I am excited, because, two, two, the panel now, because we'll talk about we'll talk about this, topic one, topic one, topic one, okay. Is this the year of the Linux desktop? The big, this topic this, this topic that, because Linux is still growing, and currently... in the stats that we see that we've seen now, especially in market share of stat counter. For example, this, wait, check I just, because, here we go, this stat counter this, as you can see, Windows plummeted in June, by June, Windows plummeted by June, 29.68%. And then June in Linux is like 1 .5 by April, 1.65 by May, and then, it's up by 2.31 by June. So, so by slowly and surely, the growth of Linux. Yeah, it is slowly but surely, because... This is Gio. Gio and Red Techie, wait, wait, wait, not, not, not, not can't up at Red Techie, no, Gio, no, Gio, to be, to be, to be, all right. Oh, go. Okay, to be perfectly honest, I, always, I always, I about in Linux, like Jig, and what, especially what's saying, tech people, tech bro, that, Hey, guys, Windows 11 is a total slough fest, filled with AI, you should go and download, download Linux. I don't know, like that. Yeah, yeah, because, I don't know, I don't know if, so basically. Yeah, you're absolutely correct about some, uh, uh, the Windows 11 filled to the brim, especially the, uh, what, the, uh, co-pilot, right? Yeah, co-pilot, AI. Yeah, as... Oh, sandamak-mack-mack-na-staffed stuff, and then, you know, mandatory update, and mandatory-notary, you need to stack just download, like the Microsoft Edge, and then the, what, what, one -drive, right? Oh, one-drive. Didn't it, then the sand-mack-mack-mack -mack-da-tow-tow-tow-d-d-tow -d-d-tow-d-d-d-tow-d -d-d-d-tow-d-d-d-d -tow-d-d-d-twwwwwwet-ware. And, there we go, that word, that's what, and what. Sandamak Mac, meaning there's a lot of, like, random apps installed on your PC, lalo, if you're, you know, before you're, you know, before you're, you're, there's, there, no, there can't talkas, at all, there, and... And this other, probably this is the, this is the most of it because it's just last July 10. This is quite shocking because Microsoft admits Windows 11 has a GDIT tracker with no-up switch. First documented publicly. in an FBI hacker complaint. So, it is actually, like, for example, like, Windows 11 has, you know, a lot of ads, a lot of, telemetry BS. Daggaghan you for, you know, more than, do you say, what, what you say, what, what you say, and then the privacy loss is just out of place, right? So, I don't know if I'm just what, what's what's going to happen in Windows. Well, you know, like, like, it's kind of similarly, it's kind of similarly, like last time, ads, the, I'm not going to say money, but it kind of is part of it, but, um, you know what the, what, you know what, the, what, the, what, the, you know, the, what, the, the coats of Metal Gear Solid to, about, the what, AI scene, right? You know, you the scene that that, right? Yeah, you know the AI Slap scene in Metal Gear Solid 2, correct? Yeah, I am. I am, like, yeah, like, oh my God. Yeah, that's the, that, that's the, kind of like Magnum Opus, but real life. Like, what I'm just, what I'm just, what I'm saying, what I'm just say, Kojima, that's just, that's, like, that's all of the messed up things that happened in Microsoft, which is, but at the same time, but, even, even, even, the CEO of Linux, is Linus TechTip, Ben, that, that, you know, that, you need, you use anti-blot, the bloat, yeah, you know, you need to, you, yeah, you, need to use a, like, TTT tool, as in, like, like, like, Really, it's, it's, so very, he, so very, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, come in the, and, and, and, and, yeah, this, this, this, hello, red, red techie, how are you doing, and, and, eto, and, for Linux. What is the, what you, what you're, in your, when you're using Windows 11? Ah, the, the most difficult, with Windows 11, well, I have one, because I have two Windows 11 devices, my laptop and the, by the way, finally, I had something to do with canina. So, my laptop, I have to use Windows 11 on here because of certain uni stuff. Whereas on my desktop, what I call the Linux Home Lab, I have a secondary Windows boot because of editing, video editing. What's the most cumbersome for me so far? Actually, on the grand scheme of things, there's, there's no, but this, I feel, it's kind of annoying, it's kind of, uh, sort of pisses me off sometimes that, you uh, memory hog, that. Yeah, memory hugging, that. Like, remember that we'll never do with memory hug at all. I have, I have, uh, I have, uh, palgay notting, oh, by the way, like, as in, uh, close all of this, like, even this discord, I close all, and it would still be, I don't, uh, it will still be above 25% memory usage. Yeah, like, that's the main problem when it comes to using Windows, because when it comes to, when it comes to using Windows as a, as a daily driver, especially that I can't when I use Windows a lot. Like, it's hard, it's When I transitioned into Kubuntu, when I transitioned into Kubuntu, like, big-la-tel really, the, um, the, that's really, the, um, the But that's that that's what that's what it's what's going to all of all? Because, I don't know why, at all. Because, like, you know, because, like, you know, because, if, if you're using Linux, and, you know, it's a good, good, right -range specs. If you're using Linux, skill issue that if you're still lag your PC your PC. Because, I think, the right one friend my friend said, 32 gig is now recommended, rather than, rather than maximum of 32 gig, because... Not gonna lie, so, so, bloatware that they'll put in Windows, currently, that's, I won't know, I just, that's, that, because, like, I, because, like, I've disabled as much of the, uh, as much of the bloat as possible, denis, what, what, if I can't disable, disable, I can't disoble, like, without resorting to, like, without resorting to, like, Windows the blotter, right? Because I don't have co-pilot integrated here. It's, you know, disable you, and even then it's still sluggish. And, that's the problem, sadly, I resorted to Win11 creator by Chris Titus Tech. You know that, you know that? Win 11 creator is basically they remove everything bloatware. on Windows and good thing that that's that, that, that, that, all, all, blow, too, all of all of, um, abobot, did, all of, all of the, not, when it comes to, when it comes to, um, running Windows, uh, running Windows, uh, running Windows, especially the, the, Ah, good thing that, and the local machine, that's what I need to, because I don't want to sign in my freaking Microsoft account every single time that I want to install Windows 11. I don't want to do that. Oh, one other. I, I choose to sign in my Microsoft account, but it's, it did piss me off as well, that they the option to have a local account. I prefer to sign it with my Microsoft account for just for the convenience, but to force that, like, why? Yeah, I don't want to. So, I've been forced on a Win11 creator, because of that. Because of that. Like, like, I know, from the start, they've required in home. I don't know if they've required it in pro. Because they're required all. As in, all. Yeah, as in, all. Wow. That's why I left Windows. That's what's a bit worse to use Win11 creator because of that. I don't want to have a low, I don't want to shove Microsoft account, shop Microsoft account up our faces, you know. and yeah, I hate, I really, wait, wait, I think I know, wait, I think I know why local account, I've done the local account on, because I did not use any of those tools that you mentioned, I had no idea, actually. Like, no, I think the reason why is, uh, on the whole lab, I think the reason that I did that do that is because, um, uh, it was the pro edition, yes, but at the same time, uh, I didn't even set up the Wi-Fi. Oh, so that may be why, that may be why I was able to get away with it. So, that may be why I was able to get away with it. Pro-edition, pro-edition, not even configure the Wi-Fi, and as usual, once I'm set -up I know what I'm doing what I do, the Microsoft-approved solution. We don't know what we're but I think the tech savvy people know what I'm talking about it. Yeah, just just use Linux already, because, you know, this, this, this, this, this, steam machine, steam machine. Oh, God, another overpriced item. Yeah, I did, this, yeah, it is overpriced item. Yeah, it is overpriced. But for a reason. Overprice because of the- I would like to interject for a moment. Okay. It's only overpriced because AI. Because of AI Slap. Overprice, only because of the market right now, the market condition right now. If you consider the market conditions now, that's reasonable. That's a reasonable price given the current market condition. At this current market, at this current market. It is, the problem because, this is, what's said Gaven, though, is, is, it's more lower than, it's in par with the consoles, right? So, around the 790 range, like, kind of range. So, the PlayStation 5 is around in $1 ,000, correct? You know, you know what, you know, you know, you know, USD, wow, I, I, I think, what the initial price of PS5 Pro, I think it was 700 and 800,000, 799, yeah, 799, yeah, around 799, like, you have people like LTT that, you have people like LTT that, they've got assembled their own PC, that trying to be at the same kind of spec level as the same machine, and if it was, before the Rampocalyps, yeah, probably that's the price of steam machine. Yeah, come to think of it. And I'm just, all of these can vary, because number one, it's a small form factor. The problem, but small form factors are the targets right now, you the RAMs, the CPUs, everything is now overpriced because of AI. Yeah, G, thanks, Sam Altman. There's a reason why, there's a reason why, there's a reason why, in my private conversations, I refer to the man with a dollar sign, and I call him, Scam, Altman, let's go. Yeah, because this, why not. Because AI needs RAM. The problem is, the other companies... They're not focused on optimization. Instead, they want bigger and bigger data. What's what's... What's what's up-scale if it's an inefficient infrastructure to begin with? You know, you would think that would be, this RAM shortage that would be across the board. No, it's just open AI the hoard. Yeah, I agree. Everyone else, even Microsoft, even Google, they were somewhat modest in the things they were somewhat modest in the Because this, this, this is a way thing, good thing we have open source AI, like, for example, Gemma 4, right, right, Gemma 4 is basic, wait, wait, that's Gemini, yeah, it's, and yeah, Google is rather, rather, like, um, a lot of pram in the process, right? Having to allocate a lot of pram in the process. That's the good thing, because currently I've been checked on Gemma 4. Gemma 4 is in an open source, so optimized he can run on a freaking mobile, on mobile at all. Oh, wow. Gemapur can run on mobile. So, it's really, the, is some old man for that. Because I don't use to chat GPT because of that, because of that, because of that, I'll try to, I'll try to thinker with that at some point, because you mentioned opens for AI, because there are, um, there are those kinds of people that, you know, just for the heck of it, just for the fun of it, make set up to their own, like, like, look, you know, the limits that do they really have to go through Google, or Open AI, or even Microsoft, to do the AI work, or could it be, to set up they just on their PC? Yeah. There's, like, is, like, is, is it the same way, That's it, yes. The open source AI, yes. Yeah, I mean, what is the AI? Honestly, I'm good, honestly, kudos kudos if I know, because of that, if I want to be completely honest. The PewDiePy, this use is, that's the workspace. The LLMs, the setup, but, yes, the thing is, basically made. an open source equivalent to the kind of system that wants to do GPD now. Yeah, so basically this, um, eta long, I will shout out to the GitHub repository of OpenClaugh. Um, sadly, wala from home lab, because I really want to run this. Basically, what this is what this is the AI assistant, but It is run on rather than the cloud. It is on your hardware. So, again, I am pushing for HomeLab AI rather than Cloud AI. The main problem is, we'll have, we'll, we'll Guys, speaking of GitHub, guys, speaking of GitHub, guys, speaking of GitHub, go ahead, go ahead, guys, speaking of GitHub, every time that's talking of tech bros about the... Get some, get your stuff on Linux, download this to get the this for the new Linux for gaming. Like, like, every time when I'm talking to get to GitHub, how, I'm sorry if I'm super new up to get this topic, but how on earth, how you know how do download, where's download page? I was like, excuse me, where's on download page? So basically, this, this, this, that's it. It's just very easy, actually, it's just download GitHub, download GitHub, download Git rather, download Git, open GitHub, and... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, open, wait, wait, open, wait, open, open, is that what you're trying to say? No, no, no, no, download the Git, that, what you're That's that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, it's, like, GitHub, like, GitHub, like, it's a separate, it's a separate project, but, yeah, GitHub, the, so, that's, so, the specific download item, download program for GitHub, because every time that I'm looking to look, I'm, maybe, it's I don't even think you would necessarily need, like, if you want to pull a repository, I don't think you would even need to, like, download the dedicated GitHub apps, like, if you're on Linux, for example, just Git, Git, Git, Git, Git, Git, Git, any kind of Propositori. Git, that Git, that Git, Oh, just install Dian. Like, just install Git, which, by the way, if you're on Linux, this is, this is the one advice, I'm going to give one advice, one of the advice that I want to give to everyone else, to the newbies that want to jump the ship, try to get used to the scary terminal, because at some point, it Yeah, I agree. Every time, it's a necessary. Guys, do I need, do it? All right, I'm sorry, gone, gone, gone. To be fair, the Termino is not that scary. It's just typing commands, it's just commands. At some point, it's more more than it's easier it's more than it, instead of like clicking through the web page of the app, for just to download another executable that you need to click. No, on Linux, usually, usually, usually all you have to do is go to the terminal, go pseudo package, install that app. And then you're done. Every single time, to be honest, every single time I'm seeing the, I don't know, the meme factor of, what, you know, memes about Linus, you know, there's a reason. There's a reason that, Dye, I know this, I know where this is headed, right, the meme of, you know, Linux users installing a web browser and you look like a hacker. It's because, it's because you could just install Firefox or Chrome or Brave. from the terminal yeah so the APT installed Firefox and then you basically just click yes and then you're done it kind of depends on the district yeah it depends on the now I've been wondering, now I've been wondering, I know because there's been Linux for some reason, but Linux for everyday use linus, then the Ubuntu or something yeah, Ubuntu or something yeah That is the beauty of Linux. The meme, the copy pasta, the so-called Richard Stallman copy pasta. Yeah. The Ganyl was Linux. The reason for the Ganoo Linux meme is because Linux is not an OS, technically speaking. It's the kernel. That Linux, that's the of an even broader operating system so yeah it's the kernel because red it's the kernel, Linux is the kernel, distros is the ones that package the, package the, the kernel oh yeah the distros, that's the actual operating system so they come, so you combine the kernel and then some essential software then boom you have your own OS Oh, so, okay, okay, I get it, I get it. No wonder, usually when they're using SteamDeck and they're installing, they're, what, they're doing, what, they know, but hey, it works, but, but, but I'm one of those people that I, I kind of believe because of the whole, did, did, did it, I mean, boys, what's, what's the next plan? That's what I think of it. Every time, yeah. I would like to say, how many times I've been reinstalled Linux Red? There, may, may have been able to be. There, there's been, there? There's, like, no, but let's just say, may, I'm, that more Linux installs more than the whole GTP of the Philippines. Wait, for real. But guys, if I decided to download Linux, if I get a new PC or laptop, I don't know, or from junk shop, I might kind of consider it. Personal take, right? Because right now, unfortunately, I return to Windows. Shocker. Yeah, yeah. pet peeve about it. Or maybe it's, this is specific to us here, the Philippine market. Sure, for obvious reasons relating to software…
