Greetings, salutations. I hope everyone's having a fantastic evening. Django here with another, well, not another, it's actually the first audio podcast I've recorded in audio podcasts. Listen to me. It's the first podcast I've recorded in over a week. Just been on the road with work for the past month. It's been a gong show, but it's coming to an end now. I'm back home, and I thought it'd be good. you know, sitting here and contemplating a few things, and I thought I would be good just to discuss it with you guys. Hopefully you get some value from this, and you enjoy the talk. It's going to be brief, not too long, just want to get some thoughts out. So, the big thing that I want to talk about is family and time. Now, this goes without saying, family is important. This is, you know, you don't... You don't need to dig deep in any type of thinking to know that family is important. Maybe it's blood family, maybe it's friendship family, maybe it's a different type of family, but family is very important. I have a pecking order of priorities in my life, God being first, but after that is family. And... Sometimes I think, you know, you don't really get a strategy guide when it comes to this life stuff. And when you have kids, you kind of see how your parents treated you. You try to be a little bit better, let's say, or at least emulate the kind of, if you had a good childhood, you try to give that to your kids. And I have three sons. One is going to be 25 this year, which blows my mind. But the other ones are young, and sometimes I feel that I messed up relationship-wise with my oldest son. even though we have a really good relationship and we spend time together every time I'm in town or we're close to each other, we always make it a priority to hang out, go for food and stuff. But there's certain things I noticed, maybe because I had him when I was so young, that I wish I could have done different. And that is time. And tonight, I got to spend time with my oldest son. And, you know, we... We had a shocking announcement in the family. One of our close relatives was just diagnosed with cancer. And we talked about, you know, what's important. And, you know, the family member, I guarantee you, what they would trade for anything right now is time. And it's not a... It's not a death sentence of a diagnosis, but it's going to be a battle. And I guarantee you, at the end of our lives, we're going to wish we spent more time with our family. And that's why I appreciate these moments I get to spend with my son. It was only for a couple of hours tonight, but... It's far and few between. Any parents and grandparents know that when your kid gets to be in the 20s, they're an adult. They don't need you, per se, anymore. They're their own person. They're their own human being. And so spending time is valuable when you get to be this age, for me, specifically, and I'm sure it's for anyone, too, but you never really appreciate it, you know. And so that's why, you know, the kids say now you want to give people their flowers. And that's what I want to do for my family. I want to make sure that they know that they're loved. I want to make sure that I spend as much time as I can. And maybe, you know, it wasn't, I didn't spend enough time with my son, with him growing up. Maybe I was too selfish. Maybe, you know, I wanted to do my own thing or whatnot. But... I'm grateful for the time we do get to spend now, and I'm going to make a conscious effort to not only spend more time with him, but also with the family member, stay in contact, discuss, communicate, share laughs, memories. Because when push comes to shove, this is the stuff that matters. All the money in the world doesn't matter. For me personally, if you don't have a relationship with God, and if you don't have a relationship with your family, I mean, this is what this thing is supposed to be. This is supposed to be relationships. This is what life is. Relationships with your creator and relationships with your family. So, going forward for me, time is a big thing. This is something that really hit me today after I got home. from dinner with my son. I just, I want to make a conscious effort now to spend that time letting my family know that I love them and spending that time with them so that not only do they see me saying it, but they see me putting it in an action. So, guys, excuse me, if you're listening to this, you've listened to the five minutes and 35 seconds of this podcast. Excuse me, I wouldn't even call it a podcast, just me blabbing. Go spend some time with your family. Spend some time and let them know that you love them. Do that. And even, hey, maybe if you don't have a family that's close, you can always reach out to God. Spend the time with him. He's the best friend you're ever going to have. So that's my hope, my prayer, that we all can spend more time with our loved ones and with our God.
