I have to give credit to two people today for this post... First, to @zulfrontado for the inspiration for it. I was scrolling through @snapie today and saw her Snap about this topic. And it literal...

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, welcome to another fun-filled Jongo Talk with Jongo, or whatever we're calling this. You know, I've been doing these little mini talks and podcasts now for a few months, and I still haven't nailed down a name for them. We'll just call them Jongo Talks for today, and then the next day we'll change it. Anyways, um... I mentioned this on Snappy earlier today. I love hanging out on this blockchain, especially with the short form content now, because, you know, back in the day, I used to get inspired by watching and reading things on traditional social media. I'm finding that I'm now inspired and motivated by some of the content that I'm seeing right now on Snappy. And that didn't change. You know, today I was checking out some... posts and comments, and I'm going to butcher this name, I apologize, Zol Frontado. She's been around on Hive for quite a while now, since 2019, it says. So, you know, she's definitely an OG here. But she put this snap out, and she was like, it was a little meme, and are there any entrepreneurs out there? That was the question, and obviously that piques my interest right away, because as you guys know. I love building businesses. Well, at least I did for 20 plus years. And she's like, this is, well, she didn't say it, but the meme said, building a six-figure business is hard. Being an employee forever is harder. Now, this is a traditional kind of pitch, let's say, that, that... online entrepreneurs have used since time eternal. Like, you know, you want to build your own business, you don't want to be a slave to anyone else, you don't want to punch a clock, and I get it, I really do. Now, I think I can speak on this because I built businesses and worked for myself for 20 plus years online, but now I've been working as an employee for about three years now, or more closer to three and a half years. So, I think I, I think I, I'm qualified, and this is not bragging or anything. I just, I think I have some experience as being, um, a business owner, uh, that had really good success online, plus being an employee. Now, as soon as I saw this, the first thing that came to mind was Jim Rones. The Magic of Part Time. It's a classic speech that the success thinker and thought leader Jim Rohn did 20, 30 years ago, 40 years ago, probably even. Like, I mean, he's been, this is something that he taught for years. Jim has since passed away, but all of his success training. seminars are all found on YouTube. So I will link to part-time, the magic of part-time below this, but this is generally how he thinks of it. And I'm, again, pardon my, my, my, my butchering of the quote, but he says it like this. Spend your full-time making money to pay bills, whatever, whatever, but then in your part -time... Hours, build your future, build your fortune. And again, I'm but if you listen to the quote, you listen to the sermon, not the sermon, the seminar that he talks, that's the general idea. Spend time at your 9 to 5 to fund your part time, your part time will eventually become your fortune. So, this kind of hits the nail in the head with what I, What came to mind as soon as I saw this meme that Zol put out there, building a six-figure income or business is hard, but being an employee forever is harder. So, this is my opinion. This is my opinion. I love the Jim Rhone way of doing this. Now, with building a business online, with building any type of business period, it's... You don't work 40 hours a week. There's no punching a clock. You're working 24-7, 365, pretty much. You don't get any rest. Your business becomes your life. Family almost comes second, sadly. That's a lot of the times when people are building businesses. A lot of... the things that are very important specifically to me nowadays went by the wayside. So I sacrificed a lot of my family life, growing my businesses. Yes, it's harder. One of the hardest things about building your business online is that you have, the only person you answer to is yourself. You can't blame anyone if you fail. you are responsible for your own actions and success or failures of that business. If you don't make ends meet, you don't eat. Now, speaking as someone who's done that for 20 plus years, that is more stress that I could ever imagine in today's day and age. I couldn't, I could not live like that. Some people are built like that. Some people are, they, they love it, they're, they're ready to sacrifice it all for their business. I'm not willing to do that anymore. So for me personally, the security, let's say, and I know job security is a touchy subject, but the job security I potentially have is very solid. And I love that for my young family right now. I think that's very important for my family to have that security. So being an employee forever is not harder. depending on the stage of your life. I mean, this is not a one-size -fits-all type solution, because again, like I said, some people will sacrifice everything to build their businesses. Some people built businesses for 20-plus years, sacrificed a lot, and are not willing to sacrifice that anymore. So this is where I think the Jim Rhone magic of part-time... comes into play because you can still work the 9 to 5 and have the security, but that entrepreneurial spirit, that desire to grow something more, that can be done part-time. Right now, like, you know, Jim Roan says, spend your part-time hours, building your fortune. That's the message. The message I want to share with people today is that if you're not willing to sacrifice at all, There's nothing wrong with having a 9 to 5 and spending those part-time hours instead of watching Netflix, instead of doom scrolling on social media, instead of, you know, watching movies or TV shows or whatever, spend the time building your business, building your part-time dreams, building on your part-time business that will eventually... you know, and obviously it's still a lot of work and it's still hard and it's not just going to be handed to you. But if you have that security of a 9 to 5, you can definitely spend those part-time hours and get fired up to build your business, your fortune, as Jim Rohn calls it, for the future. And I think that's a much better model, specifically for me, you know, like I'm very content being an employee now. I would have never said that 15, 20, 20 years ago. I would have said, oh, I could never punch a clock. Oh, I used to think like that. But then it's almost like the older you get, you realize what's really important. And it's not crushing it in business. It's time. And if you have the time to invest with your family, you know, with your community, with your friends, that's what matters. Specifically to me, again, it's not one-size -fits-all. Everyone has different dreams, goals, aspirations, priorities. So, I like the Jim Rhone magic of part-time model much more now than I did 20 years ago. 20 years ago, it was build the six -figure business, build a six-figure, no matter what, you couldn't tell me anything different. Now, it's like, oh, that's cool. I want the 9 to 5 so I can have those hours with family. That's what I'm not willing to sacrifice anymore. Some people are. So, anyways, again, I will link to the YouTube, one of the Jim Rhone seminars that he did. This is 20, 30 years ago that he did these. These were, they're legendary. They're absolutely legendary. Fantastic information, and it will really help you kind of get familiar with that. part-time mentality for building your future and your fortune, as Jim Roan would say. Anyways, hope this is a value to someone out there thinking of the entrepreneurial game because it's great. I love it. I did it for 25 plus years, and I think something like Jim Rohn's message can really help you guys. So thank you again to Zol for the inspiration for this post. I'm going to leave her some of the beneficiary rewards for this post as well, for me taking that idea and running with it. Her post really inspired me to talk about this tonight. So thank you guys. Have a great night, and I look forward to reading your comments.

@videoaddiction: Good idea of starting something part time instead of waiting for the perfect opportunity.

@jfang003: It's an interesting topic to talk about, and I agree its about what people want to focus on. Income is important, but I don't know if I want to be a business owner. I saw my dad run one before, and the amount of extra work you had to do on top was rough. After all, you are responsible for how well things go.

@hatdogsensei: INCOME I think having an additional source of income will be beneficial in the long term

@onemanonewrite: Sometimes I also thinking about starting a part time to have additional income
