Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a new Bible review here on the Kingdom Bible reviews. I have actually a Bible that was requested. So thank you. Special thanks for the request to review this. That's a first for me here on this channel. Someone letting me know that they're watching my reviews, and, hey, by chance, can you review this Bible? And I actually had a copy of it. Full disclaimer, before we get into it, this is a damaged copy. I actually purchased this copy from Amazon, and it came to me with a nice, you'll see it when I open it up, but you can see the busted up box here, but I got a really good deal. Amazon refunded my money. They allowed me to keep the Bible, so I did buy this, but... because of the damage, you kind of got to bear with me and kind of use your imagination, let's say, of what this would look like without this crease here that came damaged. But here it is. This is the everyday Bible. is in the New King James version from Thomas Nelson. Now, they do these daily devotional Bibles in both the King James and the New King James, and they come in a variety of different covers. This is the black leather soft. There's a paperback as well, I think, and a brown leather soft, if I'm not mistaken, but this is the Black Leather Soft, Everyday Bible. And this is the pitch behind this Bible is that it's 365 daily readings through the whole Bible. So the idea behind this Bible is to start. January 1st, it is dated, but you start, you know, everyone wants to read through the Bible, they fire themselves up the new year, and they're like, I'm going to read through, I'm going to read through, and they get to about Leviticus, and they kind of stop. This Bible is designed to help you go through the Bible. It gives you a verse in the Old Testament, a verse in the New Testament, and then Psalms and Proverbs as well. So it's about four readings a day. Get you through the Bible in a year and a really easy plan to follow once you get into it. I'll give you my thoughts on the reading plan after we dive into it, but we'll go over the Bible right now. So this is the Everyday Bible, again, from Thomas Nelson. It comes in this slip case in the... the busted up slip case, but I'll take it out of the, actually let's show you guys the back of it here. So, it says, make spending time in God's word your everyday practice, which is kind of, again, the pitch for it. Experience the simple yet rich way to read through the Bible in a year. Each of the daily readings includes a section of the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. No complicated charts or plans. just awaiting invitation to take daily nourishment from God's word. So it's the complete King James Bible, 365 daily readings to move through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, a daily passage, like I said, in Psalms and Proverbs, and then the clean and readable, KJV comfort print 9.5 font. And there is the ISBN, if you want to take a look. Now, again, this was retailed U.S. for 39. I'm sure you can get it cheaper. That's what I think I paid Canadian, but because this was damaged, the box came damage, and the cover came damage, I got this for free. So I guess that's the full disclaimer. So we'll get rid of the case, and you can see, this is kind of the damage, so you got to use your imagination. It's kind of, it'll look like this, but it's the standard leather soft from Thomas Nelson. Really, you know, it's a really nice leather soft. It says Everyday Bible. I don't know if you can see it printed in there. I'll just change the angle there, and you can see. So it says the Everyday Bible, that's stamped in. You have your perimeter stitch as well on the spine. You've got some tooled line spine hubs here, the Everyday Bible, King James Version, and then you've got your Thomas Nelson. logo and then the ISBN is not in gold, which is a nice change, but it's stamped in the back there. And you can see the, it's actually double stitched. I don't know if you see that, and it's all the way around on both sides, it's double stitched. The perimeter is actually double stitched, which is cool. It's different. I've never seen that before. Anyways, you open it up, paste down liner. Again, what you're paying is, you know, 30 bucks or something like that, so it will be a paste down liner. It's got this little design in the front there. Got your presentation page right as soon as you open. Your title page, publisher's title page. And then you get into the particulars of it, the Everyday Bible, published in 2023. This is printed in India. The paper, it's good question. It's not very thick. I would say that's a 28, 30, 30 GSM. It's decent paper, nothing to write home about, but still, still very easy to turn, very easy to turn, which I really like. And I would, maybe you would take notes in something like this, obviously something like this, I wouldn't, this is strictly a devotional. type Bible, that's kind of the market they're going for here. But the contents here, it says how to use. the everyday Bible, you got your Old Testament and New Testament, and you'll see that the pages will be completely different. They're not in order because of the way that this reading plan goes. So you're going to see the page, Matthew and Genesis will be the first two books you're going to be reading, so they are very early on. But if you need to find any, this is helpful, if you need to find any specific books, you can find what page they're on right there on the contents page. This is very useful. It's a very short little introduction to how to... use the everyday Bible, very nice, couple of paragraphs, something big, but that's what's really good about this is that you don't need a PhD in theology to get through this reading plan. This is very straightforward, laid out. Again, I'll tell you what I like, and I don't like about it in a bit here, but this is a, just a little brief introduction. You're not going to need too much information. You just get started reading it, and here is how it's laid out. So, right here on page one, we have, January 1, and we have our readings. So this is in Genesis, you can see is Genesis 1, the entire book of, sorry, the entire chapter of Genesis, and then you have chapter 2 up to verse 25. I'll wait until I give my critique on it. Just give you, I'll go through the layout, and then I'll explain to you what I have an issue with when it comes to this. But here is your Genesis reading, and then you go to chapter 22, and then you get all the way here to 25, and then you're in Psalms, Psalms 1, 1 to 6, you got Proverbs, 1 to 7, and then you have Matthew. So the first chapter of Matthew, and then you go on to January 2nd. So you see here, now you're on Genesis 6. 3, and you got Genesis 3, you got Genesis 4, then you got Psalms 2, you got Proverbs 1, so you're still in Proverbs 1, and now you got 8 to 9, and then here you're in Matthew 2, verses 1 to 23. So that's how this goes. So by the time, let's say, we're just going to flip here, just to give you, kind of to show you what, but by the time you're May 12th, in your reading plan, you're at 1st Samuel now, Chapter 26. And then you're in Psalm 60, you're in Proverbs 16, and you're in John 2 versus 1 to 25. And you'll see here, it is in red letter as well. And the Thomas Nelson red letter is always pretty, pretty standard. I mean, it's, you know, here's a better look at Luke, Luke here. Like, it's a very, very bold, very easy. It's pretty much all the same throughout that red letter that Thomas Nelson is famous for. So then... Now, obviously, there's no New Testament, Old Testament, it's all mixed together. But what you see, and lay flat, I forgot to, let me just, obviously, you know, not really. It's not going to lay flat in January. So maybe when you get to Exodus, or no, this is January, this is January 20. You might have to get the February. Let's get the February. February, in February, you're flat here. You're laying flat in February. February. February 17th, you're laid it flat. So, yeah, but obviously no New Testament, Old Testament, our Old Testament, New Testament, it's all mixed up together. But by the end of it, you get to the end here, all the way to the back. And there is basically the end of the Bible, so you're at Revelation 22. Right at the end, you got your... So the last day, December 31st, December 31st, let's see what you'd be reading. Actually, you're reading quite a bit. December 31st, you're reading Malachi, basically reading the whole book of Malachi in your Old Testament. Then you got Psalms 150, and then Revelation, I think I, Revelation 21 and 22. Did I miss Proverbs? Yeah, sorry, there's Proverbs 31, the last. last few 21 verses of Proverbs there as well. And then you got Revelation 21, Revelation 22, and then you have your note regarding the type, and that's it. No study helps, no reading, you know, sometimes Thomas Nelson throws those reading plans in it, no maps or anything. It's strictly a devotional type Bible. Now, here's the prose. The prose is that this is really, really easy to follow. Super easy to follow. Again, there's no reading plan. It's literally what day, read. So, you know, right now I'm doing this, what is it, August 23rd. Like, you would just go to August 23rd, you'd start up. If you wanted to start January 1st, you can, but they are dated. So that's kind of a good and a bad thing. It depends on how you feel about a reading plan. It's very easy to follow. That's what makes this Bible, I think, attractive to people that... that might want to read through, but have struggled through Leviticus, you know, so this breaks it all up, but no complicated reading plans, very straightforward. This is my beef, and this is why, honestly, I have not used this and, and reading plans similar to this. This is my beef. I, I can't, I, I really don't like reading a chapter and then stopping in the middle of it. Like, I want to finish that. So if I'm going to read Judges 7 and 8 and then only get to verse 35, I want to read through the whole thing, right? Like, here, we'll show, show you in the first, this is, this is the reason I don't use these type of reading plans. So here you got Genesis 1, and you get to Genesis 2, and it's going to 25. Well, why wouldn't we just do, you know, like, why wouldn't we just do, the entire, well, that is the entire book, that's a bad example, but, um, You know, why wouldn't we do the entire chapter? Like, why do we, why do we stop in, in, in, in the middle of a book? Like, why wouldn't we just read the entire chapter? That's my beef. And it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes it goes in, but it just, it throws me off. If I'm, if I'm reading, um, If I'm reading through scripture, I want the whole thought. I don't want to just stop in the middle of a book. So some of them do read to the end, but others don't. And it's just, it's, yeah, it's tricky. It is tricky. We saw that at the beginning of Proverbs. Like, Proverbs, you're not going to read Proverbs 1. Like, here, this is what I hope you guys are following here. I hope I'm making sense here. But this is, this is what I mean. Like, you get here, and you're, you read the whole Psalm, Psalm 1, but then Proverbs, you're only reading to verse 7. I mean, Proverbs is not, like, a big, complicated book. Like, why wouldn't we just read the whole, the whole chapter? Like, read the whole chapter instead of splitting the thought, and then I'm going to follow up the next day. So that's why these type of reading plans... I struggle with because I want to read the whole chapter. If I'm going to read Proverbs 1, I don't want to stop at verse 7. I want to read Proverbs 1, the whole thing. And you can, obviously, but with these type of reading plans, it's kind of difficult because of the way they break it up. So that's my beef, let's say, with these type of reading plans. But for people that struggle with getting through this Bible, Sorry, not this Bible, the Bible, like, you know, starting at January 1st and trying to get through it, these type of Bibles are fantastic for that, because it's, it's, there's no structure to it, it's just read. Don't worry about jumping here and there and finding all these different places, just literally read what day, you're September 7th, okay, read September 7th. It's August 23rd, read August 23rd, and that is very attractive, I think, to people. As for the layout, it's fantastic, it's beautiful. It's the comfort print, so you know what you're getting. Very clean, 9.5, so a very easy read. This size is fantastic. I got my measuring stick here, my ruler. Fantastic size, it's a thin, too. So you're looking at 5.5 by 8 and 3 quarters, and, like, that's an inch. So this is the perfect size. for picking it up and reading it. It's not big and bulky. It feels great in the hand. Again, the text is really good. The paper is, you know, really easy. Even though it is on the thin side, it's really easy to turn. I wouldn't be taking notes in this. There's no see-through. It's a really nice presentation that way. My only beef is, again, just the way that they kind of break up, you know, like, they just break up the... you know, here, you know, Proverbs 22, 17 to 21, why wouldn't I just read Proverbs 22, 1 to the end of it? But that's me being picky. For someone who's looking for a straightforward reading experience, a devotional reading experience, this is definitely a very good Bible, and it's affordable. I mean, this thing, again... The listed price here is $39.99, but you can get this, I'm sure, on Amazon for a lot cheaper. So that is the Everyday Bible, a very nice way to read through scripture. If you're okay with that type of reading plan, but I hope that... Bibles like this encourage you to actually read it, actually dig into scripture, and that's what the game plan and the goal for this product was, was to actually get people into scripture, get into the habit of it, and not make it too complicated. So thank you guys for checking out the review, and I'll see you on the next one.
