Guys, I got something to talk to you guys about tonight. This is going to be a journey, and I'm going to sip on my tea. Mmm, delicious, delicious tea. I'm going to sip on my tea, and I'm going to share some thoughts with you guys for about 5, 10 minutes. Sit back, relax, enjoy the musings of Django. It's not going to be about books, it's not going to be about Bibles. This is going to be about business and blockchain. Everything, all the bees I like, right? Bibles, books, blockchain business, all of this stuff. This has been a big part of my life for years now. Years, in fact, I remember when Bitcoin hit $100, and it was never going to go higher. I remember actually when Bitcoin hit $500, and it was never going to go higher. That's kind of when my company and I, at the time, exited Bitcoin, because it was never going to go higher than $500. Yeah, so don't ever take financial advice from Django, because... Pretty much everything Django has ever touched has failed and flopped. So, yeah, let's get back to the topic. So we talk about Bible a lot. We talk about books a lot. We talk about blockchain and business a lot. I'm going to talk about blockchain and business here, and we're going to talk about the two Ps, not the two Bs, the two Ps. And that's people and promise. And I want to share with you guys a quick story. Why am I still in Hive? You know, why am I in Hive? I just let you guys know that pretty much everything I've ever touched in crypto has never really reached the pinnacle of success that we've all thought it was, the promise. Sometimes we get into things and we have blinders on. And what attracted me so much to Hive back in the day, and this is when it was actually Steam, was the people. the community, and the promise, the white paper, let's say, the vision of what the blockchain could do. I was never about the price of stuff. It's whatever, man. Again, like I said, I never came into this crypto stuff with any type of money. and I'm most definitely not exiting crypto with any type of money either. But it was the people and the promise that attracted me to this blockchain. The people, because it was a community, it was the tagline back then when you read the blue paper and the white paper for Steam, it talked about tokenizing the web. This resonated with me. This made sense. tokenized communities. This just, it clicked my spidey senses right away. This was like, this makes sense to me. You don't need to explain this to me. I can tokenize my forum, I can tokenize my community, I can tokenize my business, made total sense. So the promise of this blockchain is what attracted me right from the get-go. And then you start diving in and you start discovering the people here, the community, the people, the people of this blockchain, the promise of this blockchain, man, it's a beautiful thing. It really is. I remember going to Steamfest 3 in Poland, and the passion that you saw with all the guys and gals that were there. It was unmatched, man. It was just, oh, it was beautiful. Everyone was, it was new, it was exciting, it was going to, we were going to change the world. And then, you know, whatever happened, we went through the bull market, and then the bear market that's been going on for five years now or whatever. I can't even tell you, like how long this has been going on. Hive never really delivered on the promise. It never did. The technology has nothing but improved. It's been amazing. It's still, like, the best option out there. I was actually talking to someone in the Kingdom Discord group this week, and we were just talking about Web 3 and, like, you know, where else can you build a Christian -based Bible study group on a blockchain? And we just both agree, like, there's nothing else out there. Nothing even compares. The promise of Hive has always been here. I don't think that's ever going to disappear because the tech is here and the people keep it going. Maybe not, it's not as sexy as it was five to ten years ago, or five to six or seven years ago, when everything was bubbling and we were all excited and pumped up and fired up and we're launching things and talking about things. Maybe that has dissipated because of the bear market, but I'm telling you guys, the promise of this chain is still there. There's nothing better. There's nothing. And I know we want to do this and we want to get into that. We want to pivot here and we want to do all this stuff. I truly believe that we got to remember the people and the promise of this chain and prices is just going to do what prices are going to do. And, yeah, we all want it to be higher. We think there's value that, you know, five cents or whatever it's had right now is pathetic and it should be higher. Yeah, but you know what? The markets dictate what the value is. It's not us. Because everyone's still developing. Look at Snappy. Snapy's developing. Look at ThreeSpeak. They're developing. Activeit's still developing. All of these projects are still here developing amazing stuff. So the promise is still there. And the people are still here. Maybe, again, not in the droves and masses that we thought there would be. But the people and the promise are still here. And I think we will always have that. about this blockchain, we will always have that. The moment we don't have either of those, or maybe one drifts and it just disappears, then I think we're in trouble. But we've survived this bear market, this never -ending bear market, with Hive for years now. But people are still here, people are developing. They're still doing amazing things here. That's good. That's a good thing. Did every project, including my own, survive? No, no, because it's hard. It's hard to build things. Hive makes it easy, but it's still very hard to build things. So, you know, it's really easy to blame this and blame that and blame this. And, you know, everyone wants to point fingers when things go wrong. But then we all want to, like, sing hands and sing, you know, join hands and sing kumbaya when things go great. Look, I don't have the answer. I don't have the answer. Make the token more distributed, maybe. I don't know. Maybe that's the answer. Maybe we don't have, you know, a monopoly of accounts here that basically dictate the chain. Maybe the DHF can get a complete restructuring. Maybe, maybe, maybe. But you know what? I can't change any of that. As much as people want to say we're decentralized, I can't change it. But you know what I can do? I can focus on the two P's here, the people and the promise. That's what I can do each and every day. I can show up, I can create content, I can curate content, I can share with others, I can talk, I can build community, I can do that with the people. The promise, I think the promise develops, the more we focus on the people. I've said that forever. If you've listened or read any of my content on this chain for years, it's always been people, people, people, people. If we forget what makes this chain so unique, we lose our identity. And people will just disappear. So we have to keep the people paramount here on chain, focus on the communities, support the communities, support each other, and the promise will be there. Will the token go to 15 bucks each? I doubt it. But I can't tell the future. Will it go to a penny? I don't know. I doubt it. But who know? I can't control that stuff. What we can control is we can power up our tokens. We can support each other. We can build together. We can, we can, you know, get into the habit of good conversations and community. And, and that's what makes this place so unique. That's why I'm still here. Eight years or nine years, I don't even know. It's 2017, I joined. So, eight years, this will be nine years, this December. So I'm still here. I'm still here. I'm still here so much that I'm rebuilding my entire account now. I've decided to focus on getting back so I can just do my little part to distribute the token, do my little part to support people, do my little part to make people feel valued here. So, anyways, I thank you. I hope this has added some value. There's no bookend here for this conversation. This is not something I think that's set in stone. I just think that... If we focus on people, the promise will be there. The promise of this chain was the people. And sometimes, I think we've blurred the lines here. We forgot about that over the past year with the bare market, past years with the bare market. So let's just get back to the people, man. Good things happen when you do that.
