Hive Check Up [Podcast]

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, welcome to another one of these Django talks here on the blockchain exclusively on ThreeSpeak. I don't upload these anywhere, but ThreeSpeak, because this is Bibles, Books, and Blockchain, and tonight we are talking blockchain. It's been a while. I've really been on the theological stuff over the past couple of weeks. But today I felt inspired, let's say, to focus on the blockchain and kind of my journey here on Hive. So if you do follow my blog, and I hope you do, and I appreciate you when you do engage with me, a couple days ago, I hit my first target goal of 2026, and that was to hit 25 ,000. hive power, which is great. I'm super pumped. The only thing I'm annoyed at is that I don't have more money to spend, because if I did, I would be buying up six-cent hive. Like, oh, my goodness. This is the thing. I've always maintained this. I've said this over the years. You go back and look at any of the things that I've posted about this blockchain, you know, and I've said, The price really does not reflect what's going on. This is markets, and you can't, you can't debate with markets. You know, what the market is saying is what Hive is selling for, and you can't debate that. But the fact that hive is 6 cents, or it's 60 cents, a couple of years ago, or a year ago, doesn't change anything. Like, if anything, the blockchain has got... more development happening. There's a caveat to this, though, because this is what I wanted to talk to you guys about. People... they lose faith pretty quick. You know, crypto is kind of like, hurry up and buy, right? Like, that seems to be the thing with crypto, like, whatever the hot thing is. You know, a couple of years ago, it was, you know, defy was all the rage, and then now it's AI, and it's just like, it's just like fads come and go in this space. And I'm not saying that, you know, AI and defy and all this stuff is going anywhere. It's pretty evident that it's here for a while. But we lose... passion, it seems very quickly here. And this is how I know this is true. The amount of issues that this blockchain has had with nodes, with certain projects, basically, you know, like I read today a couple of days ago, that Rising Star, which has just been this staple of NFT games here on chain, is getting... basically there's a new owner coming on board. This, and this reflects the six-cent hive. This is the problem with six-cent hive, but, you know, what's going on? Like, the big thing I've noticed, this is the two big things, because I, look, I don't have my, my, you know, my finger on the pulse of what's going on anymore here. I kind of just sit down, do my little blog post about, you know, my faith, and I do my hive goals. You know, I don't really know what's going on, per se. Like, I keep, you know, all the snappy stuff I really love, all the three-speak stuff I really love. But overall, I don't have my finger on the pulse of what's going on. What I know and what I can see from my own viewpoint here is that the nodes have been awful, the experience, just... connections and just like it's just nothing seems to work some of the apps that I use always have trouble connecting to the nodes and you know and then hive engine gets hacked or something a couple of days ago and it's it's just like it's a mess and is this because of six cent hive is it because people have lost their passion is it because you know we've kind of towed the company line here for years and years and years and years. And look, I'm the first to admit that I took a sabbatical of sorts. I was still here posting, but I, you know, I was really in love with what Leo was doing. And that, that backfired completely in my face. You know, there's a few things I've... You know, the only thing I really seem to have won at here on Hive was Splinterlands. I sold, I think, at the right time. I enjoyed my time in Splinterlands, but Splinterlands is still going. That's awesome to see. But what is it? Is it because of the price? Like, would everyone be super fired up again if... Hive was a couple of dollars, you know, a token, if it was 50 cents a token, would you start seeing everyone getting fired up again, and the nodes starting to work properly? Like, I just, I don't have my finger on the pulse. So this talk is more me going, hey, guys, like, does anyone know what's happening? Is this what's happening? It's just because Hive is 6 cents and, you know, like, the nodes, and it's so expensive to run these nodes that it's not worth it, so people just kind of let them go. And the trickle-down effect is it hurts user experience. So, look, this is not doom and gloom, because the things I've noticed is the nodes not working properly. Engagement is down a lot. And I think that is to do with the fact that people just kind of lost their desire to be here. They've lost their passion for this stuff. You know, I was looking at some of the posts I did a couple of years ago, and, you know, I would get, you know, $20 to $30 worth a hive in upvotes. Now I'm getting $2 to $3, sometimes five, if I'm really lucky, and some of the whales still love me. You know, I'll get up to $10 worth a hive. It's a blessing and a curse in this, because even with $3 rewards for some blog posts, That's a lot of hive at 6 cents. So, this is what I said at the beginning. I wish I had more money to spend because, oh, my goodness, 6 cents hive is, you know, I could double my stacks with a couple hundred bucks. It's just, it's so, oh, it's frustrating that, you know, life happens, and, uh, anyways, you can't look backwards, you got to look forwards. And here's, here's what I, here's what I look forward to. The 3-Speak team has been absolutely incredible. They have developed something. If you guys remember 3-Speak when it first launched. It was great. The promise was there, but oh, my goodness, someone to upload, you'd fight with the uploading, you'd fight with the encoding. It was just, it was an awful experience. But now... It is seamless. It is incredible. It's a joy. I was reading, they call me Dan on X today, and he said he got something up and uploaded in like a couple of minutes, and he had it on three speak in a couple of minutes. That's my experience, too. It used to take hours for this stuff to get uploaded and put it on chain. Now you can get, like, you know, if you crunch your video to under a gig, you can get this up in a couple of minutes. It's amazing. You know, I'm looking forward, you know, looking back and, oh my gosh, what if, what if, let's look forward. Three Speak, tip of the hat, man, they're crushing it. The other, like, Snappy, like, like, Meno is just a gem, man. I mean, this guy is just an absolute blessing to this blockchain, and Snappy is everything I ever wanted in a mobile app. on chain. I love this thing. Again, like I said, the first thing I do in the morning when it comes to social media, I don't check X, I don't check Facebook, I don't check YouTube, check Snappy. That is awesome. So the positives for me is Snappy is a joy to use. ThreeSpeak is a joy to use. Now the problem comes with how do we get these people to engage more? How do we get people back? How do we get people here? You know, we're so worried about getting new people here. What about the people that have left? How do we entice them to come back? And yeah, prices is kind of the easy answer, right? Like, oh, if it's, Hive goes to the moon, then everyone will come back. Yeah, that's true. But I think a lot of the stuff we can do right now has stayed the same. We need to use the apps more. Use ThreeSpeak more. Use Snappy more. Use Essency more. Peak D more, use all of these amazing apps at our disposal and get into the habit of actually using it. Don't worry about the rewards right now. Worry about using this stuff. The rewards will come. Let's just keep using this stuff. Every day, use the apps. Use, like, this is what Web 3 is supposed to be, right? This is what we're doing here. Using blockchain-based technology. and we can do that right now. The markets, we can't control. What we can control is our actions here on chain each and every day.
