@jfang003: It's some good points. I think we need way more adoption, and short form content seems to be the best way. At the same time, everyone has phones now, and I agree that an app is great.
Trifecta by @jongolson on 3Speak
▶️ Watch on 3Speak --- Yes yes, I know that 'trifecta' is a gambling term... And at first glance, might not make sense for the podcast but work with me here... Three things. That need to line up. T...

Good evening, good evening, good evening. It's Django here live from, well, I'm back in Alberta. I am back in Alberta after a two week, well, it'll be two and a half weeks once I get home, but I've been on the road for a little over two weeks now. So I'm back in my home province, and I'm pretty excited, pretty excited to get home, but it's actually a quick turnaround because I get home on... on Tuesday, but then I leave again on Sunday. And it's a quick trip, but I'm gone for about four days next week. So it's good. The bulk of the trip is done, so now I just got to do a few short runs next week, and then I'll be done until the summer, which is cool. And, you know, I love, I love this blockchain. This is why, I mean, I get so inspired by, and get ideas for what to talk about, what to write about, from just interacting with people on the blockchain. And that is why I'm doing this specific blog post. It's funny, blog post or podcast, excuse me, about an hour ago, I was pretty tired, I'm in the truck, had my dinner. You know what? I'm like, I just don't feel like writing anything. I'm like, oh, I don't even know. I don't even know what to talk about. I just, uh, maybe I'll just, you know, take it easy because I've been doing a whole bunch of these little three speak shorts on Snap. And I did, I did a few of them today and they got some pretty good, pretty good reception from it, some great engagement. People seem to be watching it. So I'm like, you know what? That's cool. That's cool for my content for today. Maybe I don't need to do a long -form blog post or a podcast. I'm good. And then I get a notice that people are not only watching these things, but enjoying them and getting a kick out of it. And it got me thinking, like, this is what the potential of short-form content was always... It was always there for us. It was literally, we needed a few things. This is what we needed. Obviously, you know, the elephant in the room is that we need more people using the blockchain, right? Like, I mentioned this last week or the week before, that there was a popular creator on Hive a few years ago that said something that stuck would be forever. And they said, we need more content consumers. rather than content creators. And see, that happens when you get more adoption. The more people that come on, they want to consume content. They probably don't necessarily want to create it. I mean, think about it. A lot of people are into TikTok and this stuff. Like, not everyone wants to create it. A lot of people just consume it. And that's the beauty of short form content. Now, again, look, I'm the first person to write a blog post, a blog forum, I love it, it's great. That allows me to put my thoughts out there, but the potential, the real, to real, massive potential for onboarding more people is the short form content. Now, if you had more people on the blockchain that are engaging with the short form content, you start getting things to spread. you start getting more adoption, you get people starting to tell their friends that they got to check this out. It's a really cool new platform. That's what we need. So going back to my point, we needed a few things. Obviously, the number one thing we needed, and still need, is more adoption, meaning more members, more users on the blockchain. That's number one. That's the elephant in the room. That's something for sure that... we should always be striving for. More people using the blockchain, the better. But there's two other things that have been needed for this to really catch fire, and I see them being developed right now, and I hope more people understand the massive potential. Now, I know there's lots of short form content options out there. You got PD, you got in Leo, you got Snappy, you got Essency. you got all of these front ends that have now totally embraced short form content, which is good. But the big kicker was that it needed to be an app that you can download from the iOS store or the Google Play Store. I don't care what any expert out there says that, oh, we need to make web -based ones to make. No, okay? The person, your market, that you're trying to grow, they don't use web-based front ends. They use apps on their phone. We now have two incredible mobile apps. We have ECENC, which has been around for a long time now and knocking it out of the park with their front end, as well as their app, that you can download for iOS. and Android, but we also have Snappy, which is arguably the coolest application on my phone today. When I wake up in the morning, after I pray and do my devotions, I don't check Facebook, I don't check YouTube, I don't check X, I check Snappy. It's on my phone. It's on my bottom menu bar on my Apple phone. which means next to text messages, phone, and like, I can't remember the other account, but I got my text messages, my phone, and then snappy. So we needed that. Don't listen to all of the, quote, unquote, people, experts that are telling you that we don't need that. We need that. We need the short form content applications to be found on Apple and... Google. We have that with East and C, and we have it now with Snappy. So we have the two things. We needed more people, and now those people needed an app that they can download. This kind of plays off each other. You need the app to cater to the wider markets. This is great. One and two, the third thing. And this is what I had the aha moment just now when I was reading some comments on Snappy. The aha moment is this. Three Speak Shorts on Snappy. I don't know if you guys have ever tried to upload this on Snappy. It is seamless. I can't stress to you how seamless it is. It's absolutely fantastic. Fantastic. Like, like super fantastic to use. It does not take any technical ability, does not take any technical knowledge. It's record video or upload video post a hive. That's it. It's amazing. The way that they've combined snappy with 3 -Speak shorts is absolutely Chef's Kiss brilliant. You would not know you're using 3-Speak. by using the snappy upload for the videos. On top of that, they have the little audio clips that you can do too, which I think is brilliant, I love using that too, but this is the missing piece, I truly believe it. Yes, we need more people, yes, we need the mobile apps, but the short form videos, that's the content that is consumed the most online right now. That's where... we have the biggest potential to attract new users with that along with the apps found on the app store and on Google Play. This is it, folks. I mean, I would love the day where I don't need to sit down and go, oh my gosh, I need to create a long-form content or talk into a little professional microphone to get my content out there. I would love the day where I just create three or four snaps. and I put them up on 3Speak, and they're on snappy, and it's beautiful, that would be awesome, that would be incredible, and there's nothing stopping us from doing that. We can do it right now, I just, I just don't, I don't like flooding people's feeds with money, nonsense, so I respect your timelines. But anyways, that's what I'm thinking about, guys, I'm thinking this is, this is a great... This is great. This is really, really good stuff that we got going on right now. So big shout out to everyone developing and building on this blockchain. More people, apps that are found on the App Store and Google Play, and then short form video content. This is the trifecta. This is what can really, really help with adoption. I'm pumped up. I just want to make more videos now. I'll see you guys tomorrow.

@videoaddiction: Interesting to see how aligning just three things can lead to remarkable outcomes for Hive.
@hatdogsensei: I think making Hive more visible to other peoples through apps is a great idea !BBH
