Do you believe that our genes may contain a vast, untapped well of information? Information that our biology can use to stand up against the myriad challenges of modernity? If so, you need to be properly fueling your genes. You need to be giving the epigenome the NAD plus molecule, which empowers it to switch on and off the right genes at the right times. I'm Jonathan with a limitless mindset, and this is my biohacker review of NMNN, nicotinamide mononucleotide, and NR, nicotinamide right beside. both from youth and earth. And these supplements are slightly different precursor forms for the NAD plus molecule that the epigenome craves. In this video, I'm going to be talking about my subjective experiences with both of them, along with breaking down... the recent state-of-the-art science that's been done on them, and I'm going to explain why NMN is my favorite. It's not just because it tastes nice. It's unboxing time, and... I am on modafinil today, the anti-empathy drug, so I'm going to have the personality of a cardboard box in this video blog, which is appropriate considering what I have to unbox from Youth and Earth there in England. I have just perceived this package from a rather chubby delivery guy. He was, he was one of those people that looks like, that looks cherobic, you know, where they, are they, childish, yeah, very chubby. Really? I resisted the temptation to give him some, some tips on losing weight and ice. Or to pinch his cheek, you know, like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I thought about that too. Like, ends. That was a... Pinch baby's cheeks. That was a temptation as well. Okay, and I am most pleased that this package just got delivered directly to us, that we didn't us to deal with any of the import bureaucracy... Yeah. ...onsets. Aren't you being here? Yes, I am. Okay, so that is NMN, the anti-aging game changer, the epigenetic vitamin for smarter genes that I have written so much about, but this will actually be the first time that I've tried it. With you. Eminem, we have the little brother of NMN, which is NR. nicotinamide rivicide, and it has similar effects. They are both NAD plus precursors, but I think that NMN is actually better, and we're going to do a comparison of the two. NMN was the first supplement my wife and I took. After reading and hearing, so many good things about NMN, I was excited to try it. We began by taking just one little scoop once daily. Apparently, the ideal way to take NMN is sublingually, but like Dr. David Sinclair, I just dumped mine in the tasty Bulgarian probiotic yogurt that I enjoy every day. I strongly recommend doing a supplemental cycle with a NAD plus... precursor, like NMN, if you, like me, don't plan on giving up your smartphone to mitigate EMFs. As we learned in the book EMFed, the non-ionizing radiation from your smartphone and Wi -Fi is toxic. It hurts your sleep quality and causes DNA damage. If you live in a big bustling city, there's no real way to get away from these EMFs. You can get rid of your Wi-Fi and even your smartphone, but will your neighbors, good luck talking them into that. You probably can't even talk them into not letting their dog poop on the sidewalk, right? So unless you're going to go full into the wild and flee society, your biology is going to have to deal with toxic EMS. So I do recommend to anti-fragile prevention -minded biohackers that you do a cycle once or twice a year of an AD plus precursor like NMN to fuel your PARP system that repairs DNA damage. Now, I might suggest that you sip NMN's cofactors. I'll explain. So, NMN has two important cofactors, Resveratrol and Petra Stilbit. And NMN is not cheap. stuff. So you would want to take it with those two cofactors to maximize the biological bang for your biohacking buck. I created the epigenetic awesomeness protocol for cycling. And I do have a link to that below this review. But... If you know much about red wine, you'll know that grape skin is a concentrated natural source of both resveratrol and petero-stobin. So, having personally just completed a three-month period of no boozing, once I got the package of NMN, that gave me a... pretty good excuse to have a glass or two of vino daily. Now, important point, contrary to what the mainstream media was telling us back in the early 2000s, back in the Otts, as they call them, red wine is not healthy. But youth and Earth also sent me a bottle of... liposomal glutathion in this really tasty mango solution. And glutathione is renowned as a boozing biohack. The master antioxidant does a lot to repair the damage that the acetylhyde does to your... system, and the acetalide is, of course, what the alcohol, unfortunately, metabolizes into. So, if you're a puritanical biohacker, then take your NMN alongside Capsled Paterostilbin and Risveratol. But if you're an ethical hedonist like myself, take your NMN along with... Glutathion, and sit back a little bit of the red stuff, guilt-free. Moving towards the conclusion, as far as my personal review of my experiences with NMN, this one fits into the overlapping categories of anti -aging biohack and neutropic, but not smart drug. It doesn't have any classic smart drug types effects. Not really, in my experience. At a dosage of 250 milligrams daily, which is the right kind of dosage for a person, like me, 37 years old, hey, it was my birthday yesterday. For a person in my sort of age bracket, 250 daily is the dosage sweet spot. At that dosage, the cognition enhancing type effects were very subtle, if noticeable, at all. And I will also mention NR. And we also did 10 grams of NR together in a similar dosage. And the subjective experience was similar, with the exception that the final day I used it, there was kind of a rock of NMN, of NR that formed within the... packet. Here, you know how sometimes the powders will congeal, and you'll end up with kind of a rock that's like your final bit of the neutropic, the powdered neutropic that you consume? So I had that, I put it underneath my tongue, and then I had a bit more powder left, so I did a bit of a mega dose my last day, and then I laid down to do meditation and... do a HRV session as well, and I got a little bit of an uptick in my HRV coherence scores, but as far as cognition enhancing effects, even at a higher dosage, subtle, if noticeable at all. So, having now tried NMN and NR, NMN is my favorite... At least on the subjective front, for the simple reason that it doesn't taste bad at all. If you're a biohacker with much experience with white powders, you know that they can taste really awful. It can be one of the least pleasant parts of being a biohacker. The NR taste is... Not as bad as some supplements that I've tried, but it's not exactly pleasant. So now what I'll do is I'm going to break down the recent science that has been done on the two. In the past, I've done deep dive meta -analysis articles and podcasts. And really, you should consume those also. If you're going to pick these up, order these, You should really, while you're waiting on them to get to you, listen to as much material as possible. And I am going to link to those podcasts and those articles below wherever you're watching or listening to me here. Because this is, there's a lot of exciting science surrounding NMN and R and the NAD plus precursors in general. And you do want to wrap your mind around that a bit before you start. start using it. So four clinical trials with NMN have been completed at this point, totaling 191 human participants. So the Virgin trial was completed in 2019 in Japan. and gave the epigenetic vitamin to healthy men in doses ranging from 100 to 500 milligrams and the trial deemed NMN safe. Next, a more rigorous randomized placebo-controlled double -blind trial with 25 pre-diabetic American women was published in 2021 in the esteemed journal Science. Its abstract concludes NMN increases muscle insulin sensitivity, insulin signaling, and remodeling in women with pre -diabetes who are overweight or obese. There was a third Chinese trial. in 2021, that evaluated NMN as an athletic performance enhancer, giving it to 48 young and middle-aged, recreationally trained runners in 300, 600, and 1,200 milligrams dosages, and it improved aerobic capacity in a dose-dependent... manner. So the runner got more power out of the 1,200 milligram dose than the 300 milligram dose, which is what you would expect. However, with the exception of the single leg stance test, that's right. Apparently, 600 milligrams was significantly better than 1 ,200 milligrams. If you're going to stand like this, that's right. And then a second clinical trial was done in Japan in 2022, evaluating its effects on sleep quality, fatigue, and physical performance in older Japanese males with over 100 human participants. And its abstract concluded. NM intake in the afternoon, effectively improved lower limb function, and reduced drowsiness in older adults. These findings suggest the potential of NMN in preventing loss of physical performance and improving fatigue in older adults. And the very most recent peer-reviewed article published in 2022, a collaboration between Chinese and Kiwi, the Kiwis are the New Zealanders, the New Zealandish people. This one looked specifically at the promises and safety concerns of NEMN, and it compares it with other NAD plus precursors. And no surprises here, NMN comes out as the King of the category. In regards to DNA damage, I'll quote from the study, nicotinamine supplementation induced DNA damage and oxidative DNA damages in various tissues of the body, such as renal and hepatic tissues. NMN has been proven to... reduce DNA damage and accumulation of ROS reactive oxygen species. It talks about insulin sensitivity in comparison with nicotinomide, ribicide. She at all have shown that an excessive dose of NR generated white adipose tissue, dysfunction, and heightened insulin resistance in mice. However... Contradictory reports have been reported with NMN supplementation as it reduced adiposity and enhanced insulin sensitivity. That's what we want. But, quote, recently NR has been granted, generally recognized as safe grass status by the U .S. by the FDA yet to be achieved for NMN. Hopefully NMN will receive that recognition at some point soon. And this 2022 review, the most recent one, underlines NMN's safety up to... 1500 milligrams per kilogram, which is a pretty extreme megadose. Every day, for three months, was found to be entirely non-toxic, which is pretty good news for anybody that's real conservative and risk averse with their supplementation. Next, let's look over the science on nicotinamide ribocyte, which I'm just going to acronymize that one and R, to make things a little bit less of a mouthful. I did do a meta-analysis a while back on vitamin B3, of which... NR is a derivative form. So I also link to that podcast. You probably want to check out that podcast. However, in the five years alone, there have been 15 human clinical trials. That's a decent amount of recent research, of which the most recent was called the NAD Park. study done in 2022, gave either 1,000 milligrams of NR or a placebo to Norwegians recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. And the outcomes were... positive in regards to NR as a neuroprotective therapy. Although in the NAD Park study, two of the authors filed a conflict of interest in regards to a patent on NR for Parkinson's disease. So I do hope that those two authors go and take all the other authors out to dinner at a very, very swanky restaurant once they make the the big bucks off of their, off of their NR Parkinson's patent, right? Isn't that just fair? Next, a collaborative 2021 Swedish-Turkish study of 304 patients, and that's a statistically significant. number of human participants looked at NR as a COVID recovery treatment in combination with glutathione, again, el-serine, Tartrate, and NAC, a stack that they termed combined metabolic activators. Boy, those Swedish, Turkish researchers are... Really good at coming up with catchy names for stacks, aren't they? Anyways, the study found that the time to complete recovery is significantly shorter in the CMA group and concluded that treating patients infected with COVID-19 with CMAs led to a more rapid, symptom-free... recovery. And this is promising for everyone suffering from long COVID. Hopefully, the public health tyrants at the FDA don't restrict access to NR, the way they did with NAC, which was one of the other constituent parts of this stack. The Next study that caught my eye was on kids poop. More specifically, autistic kids, poop. They were looking at poop because there's a promising connection between autism spectrum disorder and dysbiotic gut. microbiota. The relevance to NR here is that they were looking at plasma metabolites, and they found a strong correlation between NR deficiency and autism. I suspect that a future cure for autism, if we ever get that, I suspect that a future cure for autism will involve NAD plus therapy, perhaps supplementing NR, and fecal microbiota transplant, which this study was evaluating. And I'll mention a northern European long-term clinical trial that notes that NR does not alter mitochondrial respiration content or morphology in skeletal muscle from obese and insulin resistant men. And so that's one thing it doesn't do. I'll mention that the best way to enhance the mitochondria in your muscles. is with about 15 minutes of cardio. And if you want to enhance mitochondrial respiration itself, supposedly the best way to do that is with a breathwork technique where you breathe out all the air in your lungs until your lungs are empty. And then when your lungs are empty, you wait. just a few seconds before you breathe a new breath in. And you don't want to wait until you get really uncomfortable. You don't want to wait until you have that starving for oxygen sensation, but you want to breathe all the way out, and then just give it, you can give it two seconds, six seconds. maybe up to 10 seconds, kind of depending upon your own state of your own body, and supposedly this teaches your mitochondria to breathe a bit more, at least according to this tantric longevity book that I read a while back, and then finally... I will mention in regards to NR, a randomized double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial that looked at the safety and metabolism of long -term administration of niogen, which is a form of NR. And this 2019 American study focused on the safety of NR. They closely monitored the obese adults, given the NR for side effects, and they didn't come up with anything. So I think at this point we can say pretty categorically, without any contention in the scientific literature, that the NMN and NR are very safe. Real importantly, with this brand, I chose these products because they are C-OA verified as pure and free of additives or manufacturing toxins as evaluated by an accredited UK laboratory. This proof of purity is what you should demand when shopping for supplements, especially supplements in the kind of price range that NMN and NR are in. Because of their obvious commitment to quality, Youth and Earth makes the cut as a limitless mindset secret society recommended vendor and I do have a link to all of those vendors picking up over 200 pounds worth of Youth and Earth products will make you eligible for membership in the Limitless Mindset Secret Society, which includes a very helpful 30-minute biohacking consultation with myself. I'm happy to jump on Skype, Zoom, Telegram. I can even meet up with you. I've done that a couple of times. I can... talk with you for 30 minutes and you can tell me about your unique biohacking challenges or perhaps there have been like some things that you've been researching and you've kind of gotten conflicting information just doing a whole lot of Googling and you'd appreciate just talking with someone else that's been doing this for over a decade now. A lot of people find that very hopeful. So I do hope that you take advantage of that. Again, my recommendation to the ethical heedness biohackers out there is to do a cycle of NMN as an NED plus... precursor, because, again, you're not probably going to get rid of your Wi-Fi and your smartphone to mitigate EMFs. Do a cycle once or twice a year of these. Enjoy a little bit of red wine along with that for that risveratrol, Patero Stilbin, to get your epigenetic awesomeness going on. and then pick up the Lutathion product here to keep those hangovers at bay. So do drop a comment below this, or shoot me a message on social media, or you can even send me an email if you want to keep things private, letting me know how you are using. NAD plus precursors, what sort of effects they've had on you. I am curious of hearing about those sorts of things.
