Hey guys and gals, this is Jonathan with Limitless Mindset, and I've got a life hack to drop on you here that you're definitely going to want to try out for yourself, possibly this evening. So, with the help of a technology life hack, I've discovered a fascinating new side of myself, which is that I'm a damned creative dreamer. I always had a feeling that I had very adventuresome dreams, but until now, I was never able to recall them with such detail. I'm sure this has happened. to you that you'll wake up in the morning, and you'll have this vague idea of some really cool, nocturnal experience episode that you had, but you just can't quite remember the details of it, and then it totally slips away from you, lost forever, right? That's kind of sad, isn't it? So I'll... Shara, vivid dream I had with you. I was the dictator of an underwater society that lived in a giant submarine, with skyscrapers on its hull. Our submarine was hit by a torpedo, dropped by a Japanese World War II. You remember those airplanes from the movie Pearl Harbor. So, the people of the underwater society decided to depose me. That's right, they decided to depose me as their dear leader, and they condemned me to death by Giant Manta Ray. So I put on my mask and... snorkel, similar to the mask and snorkel, I used in Nicaragua when I visited there, and I went for a swim next to the mega submarine. They made me walk the plank, which was a bit awkward wearing my fins, and in the blue depths beneath me, I could see that killer mantaray. shot me with a dart, actually, apparently, mantarays can shoot darts, but I was still able to swim. The mantaray closed in on me and began to thrash me with its massive wings, which it really didn't hurt very much, and I could see its glistening fangs. In fact, its fangs were oddly translucent. Then I woke up, and I'll share another one with you. Last week, I had this dream that I battled stormtroopers while escaping from a version of hell that would put many a video game designer to shame. And then I experienced zero gravity traveling to the center of the... Earth and there was a digital readout in this capsule that I was in descending down into the center of the earth, and I seemed to recall that the digital readout ended up displaying the number that was the same as the Wi-Fi speed reading that I had gotten at the place that I was staying at the time. that's a funny thing, right? And I'll share another one that was particularly vivid and fun. This was just a few days ago. I was walking down the street in the urban center of some city. Everybody was tense about something. There was something in the air. Then, in the sky, appeared... two UFOs that sort of looked like SR71 blackbirds, or maybe they sort of looked like mig 25s, but they were flying backwards. This shocked, astonished, and terrified. Everyone. Then I ran up in an apartment building where my brother, Alex. lived the apartment building was trashed like some sort of catastrophe had occurred my brother and i frantically organized supplies for survival you know were prepper types around this time i became aware that i was in the midst of a lucid dream i knew that i was dreaming then I found myself in a different setting some sort of camp or resort near the ocean people were having fun there was a diving board to jump into the ocean I went to go jump in but someone warned me that the board was not long enough for me to make it in i got up on the board and it was indeed too short so i jumped off from the side of the platform into the ocean i pole vaulted in actually the ocean bottom was rocky i bounced off the bottom and flew up into the air above the camp Then, as I flew higher, I was flying above, you can kind of imagine, like, miniaturized models of the civic government buildings, and there were like national flags arrayed around and behind these models of civic buildings that I was hovering above, and indulge me in a little, a dream analysis of this last one. So in the current year, in the previous year, civilization is in shoddy shape, and the public is held in a state of terror and paralysis by the mainstream media's nonstop COVID, fear-mongering. Everything is so backward, like those UFOs in the sky. That's the way I see it. at least, and I'm doing everything I can to survive the intensifying, absurdist stand of modernity, where I was represented by when I was prepping for survival with my brother there. The second half of the dream, when I was in the fun place, I don't know what it signifies. The final part, me flying over flags and civic buildings, probably signifies my anti-authoritarian, anti-statist leanings. And I'll add that this dream occurred while I was listening to a cool holosink-style sleep induction track. I have these playing almost all the time while I'm sleeping, and I could kind of hear the sleep induction. track in the background, it produced kind of this, it was a track that had sort of this thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, kind of noise, sort of like a helicopter blades, maybe, so that might have inspired my, my hovering, my flying, right? So, how do I remember all these cool dreams? Well, I use Evernote. the application so when I sleep, I charge my phone often within arms reach, and before I go to bed, I turn the brightness of my screen completely down and put it into airplane mode, actually a lot of times, when I remember to, I just turn the damn thing off. When I awake from a dream, Between 4 a.m. to 8 a.m., I record a voice note with as many details as possible that I can recall from. The dream. If you voice journal your dreams within about 10 minutes of waking up, you'll recall many details. If you wait until the morning time, recall will be very... vague. So you want to install the Evernote widget on the home screen of your iPhone or Android, and it takes all of about three seconds to open an Evernote voice note and start recording. If you sleep with a partner, well, I'm fortunate that my wife loves to hear my dreams. She doesn't mind. me waking up in the middle of the night to do my dreams, but you'll have to be conscientious of your partner, and if this is really going to bug them, if it is, this might not be the life hack for you. Importantly, when you start recording, don't stare directly at the glowing screen. What you want to do is turn it away from your face to where your voice can kind of get to the speaker but where the blaring light is not in your eyes as that will kind of disrupt your sleep and we don't want that we want to sleep as good as possible right before this, like a lot of people, I tried dream journals, but by the time I found my dream journal a pen and turned on the lights, I had forgotten some or all of the dream, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of doing it, you know, psychologists, and I'm in therapists, and I'm not even sure how legit this is, they talk about the importance of dream journaling, that you should be analyzing your dreams, that there's some value in that, and I've recorded a bunch of my dreams, and I haven't found any personal development benefit in it. It's just kind of a fun. self-indulgent, self-introspective kind of thing to do. And then you also remember your dreams, and then you can share them with people, and it's a, it'll, it's a fun thing to share with people. That's what you're mostly going to get out of this. And if you just use your smartphone for this, then you don't have this whole, you don't wake up and say, oh boy, that was a cool dream. I should really write that one down, but I don't want to go to all the trouble of finding my dream journal. Instead, you just turn on your phone, turn it away from your face, and then record the dream. Should take you a minute or two to record it, and then you just go back to sleep. Problem solved, you go back into the dream world. So drop me a comment or a message. Let me know if you're... a lucid dreamer if you experience lucid dreams often or if you never have if you've never had lucid dreams or if they're a really infrequent thing for you then you're you're kind of missing out on some nocturnal adventure and i did a deep dive on this i did another podcast Inception in Real Life, 24, Life Hacks for Lucid, Dreaming, and I have that linked up in the article, which is linked below wherever you are listening to this podcast. You're going to want to check that out. For example, I'll give you just one of them. If you've ever had a lucid dream where you realized in the middle of the dream that you were dreaming, what probably happened was you got, like, excited because you're in a consequence-free fantasy universe, suddenly, right? You got excited, and then you woke up, because you were too excited, and you were like, ow, bummer. So, what I'd suggest to you is if you ever realize that you are in... a lucid dream, rub your hands together. For whatever reason, when you're dreaming, if you get some tactile feedback from your dream body, that bases you in the lucid dream a bit more. I know it. Nobody knows why this works, but it does. Give it a try. And check out that podcast. And like I said, I do this with... Evernote. And I'll just, let me try to sell you on Evernote just a little bit more if you don't have it already. Evernote is the leading cloud-based note-taking app that limitless people love. It syncs multimedia notes and to-do lists between your smartphone, laptop, desktop, and browser. This free application is exactly what you need to organize your productive, focused, kick-ass lifestyle. and I had heard about it from Tim Ferriss, whose book Tools of Titans, I really enjoyed, and as a memory hacking, adult ADHD, small business guy, I'm serious about my note -taking and to-do list. delineation approach. So I use Evernote for everything from updating current client tasks, setting weekly goals, snipping images of address locations, so I know where I'm going if I don't have data somewhere, I outline podcast episodes with it, I save internet articles for... future reading and I've even used it for things like recording foreign language pickup lines that are taught to me in bars back when I used to be a digital nomad dude bouncing around the world If you follow the podcasts or blogs of top-performing entrepreneurs that live really cool lives, you hear them all mention Evernote, and this is no coincidence. I get more done using Evernote than I ever did using Microsoft Outlook to-dos, Google tasks, or the old-fashioned way with a leather-bound day planner that I... would manage to lose infrequently and then be really set back. And I have paid for Evernote Premium a few times, I think it's about 25 euros a year, and the free version of the app is so good that it's really not necessary unless you need to create notes that are over 25 megabytes, and just a pro tip. Evernote Premium is cheaper in different countries, so if you got a VPN and you want Evernote Premium, set your location to somewhere like South America, and you might save a bit on that yearly membership. Hey, I should sign up for their affiliate program. If you love this dreaming life hack, hey, you know, go and sign up for Evernote using... using my link, which will be below wherever you are listening to this podcast. Anyways, you know what would be real cool is if you recorded some of your dreams in these dream journals and then sent them over to me. I might play that on a podcast. I might want to insert some of your voice dream journaling into a podcast. Send those on over to me, and I'd love to hear them. I'm Jonathan with limitless mindset, looking forward to a continued conversation with you.
