Unboxing the sequel to my epic SciFI story - Hourglass #2: The Trident, The Tachyon & The Temptress by @jeroseland on 3Speak

Being a science fiction/cyberpunk novel, Hourglass could have easily turned into a cautionary tale about our overreliance on AI and the technological dystopia that we are accelerating into. But the...

I spent 1,300 hours in the last two years, kind of irrationally. There was a story inside of me that demanded to be told. A really epic story about a troubled man, a cybercriminal, a mathematical savant, who was tasked with saving civilization from the same comet that destroyed Atlantis 12,800 years ago. And this was a story that I started writing 10 years ago in a sunny cafe in Medellin, Colombia. And, well, here in my hands today, it has come to fruition. It's a two book. novel series now. And a lot of you have read the first book in the series, Hourglass, a science fiction novel, not for sex addicts about biohacking, seduction, and philosophy. And this year, I finished the second book in the series, The Trident, The Tadent, The Tachyon, and the tempteress. My wife is laughing at it because she has just made endless jokes about this woman's red Gucci dress. When really, she would love to have a red Gucci dress like that, and I think we might be able to make it happen. That's true. If enough people buy this book, we can get you a Gucci dress like that. And this is my print-proof... copy from Lulu. I think they did a just about perfect job on this, and then here in this package, we have something else, which is very special. Look at that. That is the unabridged edition of Hourglass. What I did, was, I figured that there might be people that like the story so much that they wanted to just get the two books together. These books are available as digital books on my own website. They're not available on Amazon.com because my books are just so awesome that they decided to kick me out the door at Amazon .com. So... I offer these on my own websites in digital and audio book format, but actually I like the print book format because print books have soul. You buy them and you read them and enjoy them and get something out of them, you certainly will from mine, and then print books go back on the bookshelf. Yours, maybe even decades later, someone else might pick up those print books off that bookshelf, someone who matters to you. And then they are edified by the same books that you bought and read yours ago. Does that happen with digital books and audiobooks? I think not. So if people are trying to decide whether they want the digital book, or the audiobook, I would actually kind of encourage them to get the print books, because the print books contain a QR code at the back that has a download link for the audio books. Yeah, see, there it is, but we don't want to show the QR code to... clearly, because I need to somehow make a little bit of money. To buy me that dress, yeah. Right, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're actually going to need to sell quite a few of these books at the razor-thin profit margin that I have on these books to buy that dress. Ultimately, I am just so excited to read some of the reviews and feedback that you all will have for this book, and I... and just hope that it is as much of an edifying adventure for you reading it as it was for me writing it. I'm Jonathan Rosette, looking forward to a continuing conversation with you.
