Hey, this is Jonathan with Limitless Mindset. That's right, the red hat is back. You know, it's going to be a very serious biohacking video when the red hat comes out. Okay, this is my review of Kratum. Check it out. I have it double-bagged here. So, Kratum is something that... I'm going to compare to Rassetams and other smart drugs and neutropics have tried. It's not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, but I think the people who follow this channel will find that most useful. So I wrote a very detailed article about Kratum and what the current human studies are saying about it. And it turns out that It's a little bit contrary to what most people on YouTube are saying about Kratum. So I would encourage you to check out that article before you purchase or consume Kratom. This video blog is going to be more on my anecdotal experiences with it. Okay, so Kratum is kind of interesting because Unlike a lot of other smart drugs, there's a spectrum of effects depending upon the strain of cratum that you're consuming. So, I'll start by talking about the white strains, and I've got a couple of notes here. There was white Manga and white Vietnam, and the white strains are the more energizing. I found that with these strains, I had to take dosages that were north of foregrounds to get some beneficial effects out of them. Someone compared the white strains to coffee, and I didn't really have that experience. They're not something that I find like a real wakefulness promoter. I find the white strains to be a little bit more of a blunt instrument as a performance enhancer. But they also have a noticeable antidepressant effect. So I'm of quite a ways away from being depressed, but I could definitely notice when I was doing a higher dosage of the white strength, I had a real nice optimism about the world. I was just like feeling happy about everything that I was working on. There was definitely kind of like a noticeable little bump in my subjective well-being. And there was also a like a body energy, like it was a little bit... I could sit down at my computer, I needed to get out of the house, go walk around the neighborhood, I ended up at a cafe, and I stood up at the cafe, because, yeah, I had some energy in my body, and I couldn't quite be contained. So, yeah, the white strains are a little bit more energizing. I would say that... kind of like a lower dosage of the racetams, but again, kind of like a blunt performance enhancing. I can see how they would be good for supplementing exercise. The other spectrum of Kratum is the red strains, and I actually think I enjoyed the red strains more. They are very... tranquilizing. So while I was doing my cratum trial, I was doing a 90-day period of intermittent sobriety, and so I wasn't drinking, and that means that my stress release mechanisms were a little bit limited, right? I was also doing like a no-fab period, so sometimes I had a lot of tension built up, and I found the... red strains to be, yeah, very tranquilizing. I wouldn't quite call them intoxicating, though. Like, I didn't really feel like I was losing any of my verbal precision. I didn't feel like I was having any, like, psychomotor retardation while it was on the red strains. They were just... Very relaxing. And I do 30 to 60 minutes of reading every day. At the end of the day, I get away from the computer, away from email, apps, responsibilities, and just turn some pages. I found that the red strains went really, really well with that. A couple of notes with Red Vietnam. I, one time I was taking the Red Vietnam string. and I did my reading, then went to bed, then I did my meditation, like I always do, and I found that after my meditation, I got into a really cool... low-level flow state, kind of like the time that I did HRV training with the M-wave after smoking marijuana, but not quite as vivid as that, but I noticed a couple times that the reds and meditation got me into a really nice state of mind, that wasn't quite sobriety but was a really nice, relaxed clarity that put me right to sleep. In fact, I found with the Sleep Cycle app that the Reds were very good for sleep. Okay, a couple other notes here. Red Vane, Red Vane, kind of created like a cool sensation in my... in my nasal cavity. Let's see, there's a couple other varieties like gold Borneo. I'm not really sure what this one does. I did it one time in the afternoon, and my productivity definitely took like a hit, and then I even kind of had like a dip in my brain training scores, and I found myself like... distracted from my web development task and kind of just like browsing social media, wasting time, and I actually had to take some caffeine and al-thianine to pep myself back up. So I would really just recommend the white strains for people out there that have work that requires a lot of focus. logical problem solving. I would recommend sticking with the white strains. Let's see, gold, green Mengda Borneo. This was a variety that is real high in antioxidants and is supposedly a real potent immune system booster, which I have reason to believe. One day it felt like I had like a little bit of like a cold coming on. It was after I had finished traveling. and some people I was living with were getting really sick as well, and so I took a lot of this, and I ended up not getting sick, so hopefully that was due in some small part to the Green Mingda Borneo. Okay, the cretum is actually kind of inconvenient to consume. So you burn it either by... actually burning it by smoking it, that's the way they do, I guess, traditionally in Thailand, you consume it in a tea, or you can chew the leaves. What I would always do was just measure out the green powder. Would have been nice of island lion hurdles to provide those little spoons, but I've got plenty of those little spoons, so I measured it out with my measuring. apparatus and then I would boil it in the water and consume it as a tea. It's actually kind of a pretty tasty tea. It has a nice earthy taste. It's not anything like some of these really ghastly tastes that the smart drugs pharmaceuticals have, but the fine green powder, it always seems to make a mess. I was always cleaning it up. on the inside of the microwave, cleaning up the counters, I just seem to find it all over the place. And I would also find when I used it at night, I would always have to brush my teeth after using it at night. It's not like Phenibute or Elthene, where you can just dump a little bit in the water, and then it dissolves, and then you can drink it, and then pass out, go to bed. You always have to go all the way to the bathroom, brush your teeth. then go wash the mug afterwards because otherwise it'll stay in the mug, so I found it a little bit inconvenient. Perhaps I would have had some more interesting experiences with Kratum if I had experimented with the dosages more. Usually when I'm doing one of these trials, I'll... I'll take it at a higher dosage to see what the effects are, you know, as long as the smart drug or the neutropic is relatively well tolerated, you know, I'll push the dosage up to its higher end to see what the experience is. In the case of Kratum, this is one of the few things that, this is one of the few performance enhancers I've consumed that... actually has some well-documented cases of people dying of Kratum intoxication. So I was a little bit more wary of getting crazy with the dosage, which I encourage you to also be wary. The bottom line for me with Kratum, I'm just not that blown away by it. I think it's something that's a bit overhyped. Like I said, the... white strains, they did produce a pretty nice sensation of motivation and well-being, but again, it was blunt and the sensibly intense sensations of focus that I get from the Rassatams are just much more conducive to the kind of work that I have to do. Current year, Jonathan, here with no awesome red Panamanian fedora, and a quick update to this one, the Crodham vendor that I had originally reviewed there in the Berlin flat is now... out of business, which just typifies the crotum biz. Lots of faceless fly-by-night operators with e-commerce websites that fail to prove the quality or purity of their... products, and I shouldn't even have to tell you not to buy your crotum at a gas station. The only thing good that you would ever want to buy at a gas station is gas. Instead, I urge biohackers to use adaptogenic herbs, which offer many of the same benefits that crotum ostensibly does. And on my website, limitlessmindset.com, you can find an abundance of articles that break down the adaptogens. So, yeah, if you're a crotum person, this is my attempt to push you into the adaptogenic camp. That's just a much more... proven family of nutraceutical performance enhancers. And on my website, I link to credible sources of those, which verify with certificates of analysis from accredited labs. I do have, if you're still into crotum, though, if you still, if you really like crotum, if you, if you got a little bit of an opioid dependency going on, on my meta-analysis article for crotum, I keep that updated, and I do have links there to more credible vendors. There's no crotum vendor that... I would really give a limitless stamp of approval on, but there are some vendors that have higher standards. There's many vendors that have no standards whatsoever. They're just assuming that their customers are kind of idiots, but then there are some vendors that are a little bit better. But, and this has been my finding, from my 15 years now of doing this, is a lot of times the vendors that really give a damn about quality, a lot of times they actually go out of business. A lot of times they don't manage to compete with the people selling the cheap stuff. That's kind of sad, isn't it? So, yeah, in this video, I don't recommend a name any particular vendor, because even if they're good, they might not be around a year from now. But on my website, I do a pretty good job of keeping this up to date. So you can find the link to that meta-analysis below wherever you're watching or listening to this. Kratum is pretty cheap, so... It's actually pretty affordable, so I guess if you were just looking for something based upon the economics, then it would be a winner. Probably worth trying, but I'm not super excited about Cratum. I was hoping for a little bit more. Yet again, the placebo effect fails me. Anyways, I'm Jonathan with Limitless Mindset.
