Some asshole did a hit and run on my new car while it was parked

@ctrpch: Sorry to hear the news mate, that really sucks, get a dash cam installed, the one I have will send me a text and start recording when parked if it senses a collision.

@futuremind: This is messed up on so many levels bro, and insurance... oh man I could rant on but you really comprehend it all very well. Society is falling apart, at the very least the person could have put an apology note with contact information in the windshield wipers to take accountability and rectify things if they didn't want to wait for you. I think the assessment of drunk asshole is on the money. The only good thing is that it's superficial damage and not mechanical, but it still sucks and I would be really pissed off too. That's called wholesome righteous anger and there's nothing wrong with that. Too many people lack accountability these days.

@mviews: Sometimes things just happen to us not because we deserve it but because that's just Life taking a wink at us. The scratch doesn't look good. I don't know why people like to act irresponsibly, especially when they are drunk. I bet the driver was drunk as f’ck to make such a mess on your car and leave without leaving a note or anything to show he's sorry for bashing your car. Let's hope you or the police, get to find this culprit sooner than later. Paying a thousand bucks( or even $300)for something you didn't do is the painful part of it. I hope everything turns out well so you can get the car fixed in time.

@malos10: I'm so sorry to hear about your car! That's really frustrating and I can understand why you're so angry. It's definitely not fair that someone else damaged your property and then just left without taking responsibility. I think it's great that you filed a police report and are hoping that they'll be able to track down the person who did this. I know it's not much, but I'll definitely upvote your post and hope that others will do the same. I know it's hard, but try to focus on the positive. You're lucky that the car still drives and that you have insurance. And who knows, maybe the police will be able to find the person who did this and you'll be able to get your deductible lowered.

@qwr: Shame to person who did this act. I also agree that when you did nothing and you have to pay for loss, anger is naturally. Yes You are right. Hope so, through cameras, You will find out the person who is responsible for this and punish him for his shameful act.

@videoaddiction: It is hard to find out who did it if there is no camera around. It is less possibility if someone else might have seen the accident. Hope you will sort it out.
