Hello everyone, I want to show you guys the second game against the Grandmaster in the match that I played against him. The first game featured an English opening versus his KID setup. I played my trusty Bodvino setup, and he lost a very painful game. I think this game highlights the emotional nature of... chess is a mind game but it can get very emotional as well and we would see that in this game because obviously the second game was played right after the first game and you would see the you would see what I mean as the game goes on so he goes one e4 I go for I go for the Sicilian with E6 setup And then he plays G3, which is not very often seen in this position. Most times people try to go for D4, but he tries to go for a closed setup. I go B5, gaining space on the coin side. Bishop G2, Bishop B7, and then he goes D3, 96, I just continue in development position. Now I would have to comment on G6 because it is a bit of a weakening move. I probably should have just gone for D6 rather than G6, but I was trying to fiancita my bishop and then at least claim to have a bit of a grasp on the dark squares, but it was a bit slow. He goes default to try and capitalize on that, but that also was not the most accurate way. Most accurate way would have been to go for E5, because then it is not obvious that there are some problems with the weaknesses that I created after playing both G6 and E6. I think they call it a Swiss cheese position, because after that the knight can hump into Knight E4 and start threatening some issues. I think the most accurate move after E5 would. be F5, but he goes D4, I capture, he captures, and at least I'm able to develop my bishop without too much of an issue. I think it's not worthy that I'm behind in development because I've not been able to castle, but in this position, it's not so much of an issue. Queen D2 is played and then I castle finally. being able to develop all my pieces into pretty decent squares. Rook Day 1 obviously is trying to claim that he has some pressure on my D7 pun, but then I go 9-E4. So it might have been more accurate to play F4 rather than Rube D1 because then I won't have had this move 9E5. Bishop F4 is just a blunder in this position because Now he puts pieces on the square that can be threatened me, while as we are trained to look for first symbols. Once I hold the night as I played in the game to hit the coin, it becomes clear that after E5 is just a massive blunder Michel Pfefford. B3 is played, I just captured the pun. After the trades, the Grandmaster resigned. So after this game, I was up 2 to nothing in the match. and the spectators were cheering on and they were very surprised with the result. However, the Grandmaster made a big comeback to die the score and then winning tie breaks. And after this particular game, he did not lose any single game throughout the whole tournament. It was a knockout event and he went on cruise mode after this game and won every single match that he played. But it was very nice to at least score the only two wins that he lost in this game.
