It's another edition of Nizan City Talent Oms, and in this edition I'll be making Nigerian jolof rice. So these are the ingredients I'll be making use of her, making use of blended tomato, my blended scotch bonnets and signet pepper, then my onions, I have some diced and some sliced. In the video, you'll be getting to know how I use them. Then I have my vegetable oil, my spices, which are curry powder, time powder, you can add ginger and garlic, but I didn't add it. So, I have my jolove mix, spicy, seasoning as well, and I have a sachet of tomato mix paste. I have seasoning and salt for taste. So let's get started. First and foremost, I'll be eating up my vegetable oil in a clean pot. Then I added a bit of margarine. Yes, what is Jolof Fries, Nigerian Delo Fries without Magrine? The tastes it gives to Jolof Rice is heavenly. I added in all my spices. when you have a steel base for anything you are going to mix, make sure you add these spices for since you oil, trust me, I'm gonna love it then later I'm going in with my diced onion, then my blended tomato before going in with other pepper mix and why is that? Because you see this tomato always have these kind of salt taste so I like to fry it much longer than other pepper so it will extract that salt taste out so that's what I did after frying them with it I added in the tomato mixed paste and fry it how do you know it's fry you can see the oil has foamed up and the water content the pepper has dried up I added in my seasoning So I washed my rice. I'm going to wash it on the water runs out clean. In my steel base, I added in already boiled water. The reason why I added boiled water is I don't like my steel base sitting in normal temperature water before adding the rice. So this way it's boiled with me. You can use normal temperature water. It doesn't make it, but I just like to make mine this way. So I add then in the rice and let it cook. After some minutes, like 15 minutes, I came to check on our rice and I see everything is going, it's going, so I still have some minutes to let it cook. I came back again, and this time I ran, it's almost done, just remained to steam it. So I added in my sliced onion. If you are the type that I don't like to see onion in your food, okay, you can add it earlier on, but this is how I like mine. So, our rice is ready. Don't argue with me when I see Nigeria has the best chelof rice. Yeah, so I paired it with fried plantin. Don't tell me you don't like platinum. Ooh, don't love planting. Best combo. So what are you going to pay this with Turkey, chicken, or fish? Tell me in the comments social. Bye!
