@fenngen: Good to know your shoulder is improving. Take it easy don't stress it too much, it's tempting to get right back into action as soon as one feels a bit better haha. What kind of soil do sunchokes need? The dirt there seems a bit poor but maybe they thrive just fine in that kind of environment. Gotta love food that has low nutrient requirements so it would be interesting to see if I can get some here. Good luck on the stream tomorrow!
