@old-man-chu58: I started gardening this year too I like your spiral garden very cool. You have a lot of pants. My son has a backyard and he trows away his compost there and sometimes plants grow from the seeds he trows away witch is very cool but we are not sure what kind of plants they are. I recently uploaded a video if you kind to watch it and since you know a lot of plants you can tell me what kind they are?
@paradoxtma: The spiral garden is coming along great! If Jerusalem artichokes do half as well where you are as they do here, your dream of spreading them around should become a reality quite quickly. I planted some in wild forest here, just hoping they would hold their own against the local weeds, but they've spread every year, with absolutely no tending at all. When the world famine comes, I'm going to be living large on Jerusalem artichokes and bullfrogs! You may want to look at adding parsnips to your root vegetables, and rutabagas. They both tolerate a pretty wide range of conditions, and parsnips seem to spread easily. Best of luck with all your adventures, can't wait to see more!
