Okay, here we are. I am going to do a little walkthrough of the tool that I've been working on. This was funded by Asidio's DHF proposal to give Claude subscriptions or... AI subscriptions, so I received one of those during the month of July, and this is what I was working on. I actually had wanted to get this out a little earlier, but I've been busy just lately, but I didn't ask for a second month at this point anyways. So here we are. This is Base Camp. You can see it's right here at the top of high... blog, use denser. It's purposely built on hive.blog. It's meant to be a tool for everyone. Basecamp is designed as an SDK so that any front end could plug it in. Here is pretty much an aspect of what we've been working on. This I refer to as the postcard. It's a visual cues of the user. and just to give you an idea of like what this is you could think base camp is a feed it's a feed of new users meaning The user needs to, their account needs to be less than one year old. And you can see this is 119 days old. Also, the other place you can see, this ring, this center ring gives you a cue. If it's turquoise like this, it means they're between 90 days and half a year. If it's green like this, it means they're brand new. They're in their first 90 days on the chain. You can see this guy's 23 days. days, and if they all, let's find an older account right here, this guy is getting pretty old, he's gray, and this is if you're half a year to a year old. So it brings all the new users into what I refer to as the plankton pond. This tool is designed to solve two problems. One, new users come. They don't know what to do, they don't know, you know, there's like a void, they don't know who to connect with. And so that's one of the things trying to solve, like, that who are these new users, and do they have, can they find connection points, and how do we find them as well? So the other part of this is, yeah, it's about the users finding new users. So, you know, say an OG user like myself or, you know, anybody that's been around and gets the gist, let's say you care about Hive and you want to support new users so that we're always finding new good Hiveans. Well, basically, I think a lot of... people here on Hive, we don't want to just throw away our money. We don't want to... reward people that don't deserve it. And one, it's really tricky to even find new users and find, you know, if you're just scrolling the just posted feed, it's just tricky. So here's a place where you can come. You say you're in the mood, you're like, you know what, I want to support some people today. You can just come here to the new user feed or the base camp, which is the new user feed, and you can explore. So here, if you are a new user, you come and you choose, like, photography, art, writing, fitness. I think you choose five, we'll say crypto, and then, yeah, so that's your list. And then if you were here to help and you offer to be a guide to a newcomer, you would... click these things too, and then behind the scenes, the app connects the new user with the person who offered to guide. I didn't call it a mentor because it sounds a little bit too sticky, guide, you know, just somebody that like, hey, if you ask me a question, I'll answer back. the new user is encouraged to follow some of the people that have chosen to guide in the various areas. Obviously, I can add more to this, you can get more specific, but this whole thing is designed as an SDK that any front end could use. The ideas is that we are finding good, new, human, real users that we want to keep around, and that that those same new users that are legit new users feel a sense of home and community right off the bat. So this is the postcard I mentioned it before. I feel this serves as two purposes for if you are an OG coming to find a new user or explore. You get a bunch of visual cues, and then simultaneously, if you are a new user, user and you're like looking at your postcard and being like, why does mine not look so good and not look so full, you know, how do I improve it? Well, you know, so you can model. Ideally, you would, you would, a new user would see this and want to model better behavior and do, go through some of the steps. So just I'll kind of explain some of these areas. Here you got the rep. and the rings show, the second ring is what have they done. So this guy's got his profile, so this is most likely that he did his profile, but it also means he saved your keys, you, you did some basic, you did your first comment, you did... Yeah, it's just that you've, you've done some activity, and then this outer ring is, you voted for a witness, you... you voted for a proposal, just showing that you are being more active. So you can kind of get a sense right here of, like, how much are they doing? Are they engaging with some of the elements of the chain? It becomes a cue that you can say, hey, I see maybe you need to do some witness voting, or if you were trying to, like, help or guide them to fill out their ring. And so then here you come and you can see the hours that a person is typically being active in. And, you know, this is this person's been around for 119 days. They really are only doing things in a few hours. The red represents... today the last 24 hours. So anytime you see a red mark that shows that they were active today. A lot of times when you just see one, it means that they just did that vote. Maybe they did a few other things, but most of the cards, a lot of these little icons you can click on so we can go in and we can look, okay, what were their actions? It shows what time of day they were doing it and they voted on this post and they claimed some HP. You can just sort of see some basic information and see if anything jumps out at you. The whole thing is designed to just pop up information pretty quick so you can get a feel for who this user is and whether or not you would like to support or comment on them. I find comments really helpful, so this has to do with replies and comments. Comments are a place where you can really see what type of person they are. And this gives you the last 25 comments. You know, they seem like a potentially legitimate person. Doesn't feel too body or anything. I always feel like... person's comments just gives you a feel if it's just always the same same thing over and over again. Hi, nice post, high, nice post, whatever. Or if it just feels too perfect, I feel like you can kind of tell it's a bot. You can also see some of their behaviors here. Are they repeating the same comment? So repeated means how often they're repeating. They're not repeating tons, but they've done some repeats, but, you know, I think we all repeat. to some extent, so that's not outlandish. Then you have your own posts. That means that they are mostly commenting on people that commented on their posts. So 9.1% doesn't mean so much, means that they are doing it, but they're also commenting on other people's. And then you can see self-votes. So this person has self-voted for themselves about 50% of the time. You can see their active hive power. You can kind of hover over. It gives you a little quick overview, or you can click right into it, and it gives you a deeper look of, like, have they powered down, have they powered up? This isn't the best example. They're not that active. Let's see if we can find somebody that has a little bit more money. Here we go. Let's see how the, you can sort of see who's delegating, who are they transferring to, who's transferring to them. So, yeah, this person, comment reward, they're getting a lot from comment rewarder, so potentially. Yeah, I don't know if they're actively trying to milk that, or they're voting on people that they see, or it's just coincidence. You know, you'd have to explore a little bit more to see that. I'm not really going to do too much of the deeper dives, but you can keep kind of clicking around as you, if you're suspicious or you want to understand a little bit more. KE, I think everybody knows KE, I didn't really, I didn't make any pop-ups or anything, it's pretty straightforward. I designed it so that it's sort of, the more empty it is, it means the more they're pulling out. I don't see any, there's no one's jumping out, okay, here we go, this person is. is draining a bit, so they're, they're, like, half empty, and, yeah, the more they're draining. And they're young accounts, so you can see that this is, doesn't, doesn't necessarily say that they're a bad person, but, you know, here they are, they're doing a lot of self -voting as well. Is that self-loading? No, that one's, uh, own posts. So they're only, this person is only commenting on people that are coming onto their posts. Okay, we'll keep going with this person, because they're seeming a little bit suspicious, but well, so you got this flower here, and this flower is just different behaviors. This is their voting behavior, and it pops up their top 20. So this person is not voting very much, even though they've been around a while, but they're only voting for the same two people. So we could maybe suspect, and then if we wanted to click into them and be like, are other people only voting on these two accounts? Why are they only voting on these two? Maybe, it's unlikely that either of these accounts would be the actual puppet master of a bot farm, but... You might see some behavior of these ones sending and selling if other accounts are sending and selling. I might be able to do some research on that. I mean, it also could be innocent. Maybe this person's voting on them because this person's voted 83 votes. They've voted on them. Again, you click onto these and you do deeper dives if you are feeling like exploring what's going on. It's all right there. I'm not going to do it right now because I just want to kind of keep moving and showing what is. here on the tool. So here are different people that they are replying to and the amount that they are earning on those replies. So you see their replies, people that are replying to them and giving them money, anti -socialist. Yeah, you got just some people, and then you're also seeing the value. If you want to see who's voting the most for them, via how much they're getting money-wise, you can click it to earn. All these things, they're just clues. You know, they're... Maybe they mean nothing, maybe they mean something. It's for you to have easy access to look and explore yourself and make your decision whether or not you feel the account is worthy of a vote, of a comment. And yeah, so... That is, that's how you kind of use the user's card and I'm here to browse, this is just if you're here you want to look, you can click either of these buttons. I want to go people that aren't getting any support. I want to go to people that are not getting any comments, and it'll change the thing to just show you the lowest amount. At this point, it probably doesn't matter much because you can also just see that, you can see, oh, it's got one one, you could just scroll down and be like, oh. hmm, this person's got 13 votes, but no comments, what's it all about? You could go check it out. I purposely left the money off of it. Maybe I'd put the money on, you know, it is a piece of information, I guess, but yeah, and then if you do, say, suspect anybody, we have this suss button, let me just scroll here. Normally there's some account that is a low rep account here, so you can click on the... the suss button and you can choose, I actually was already here, I've already made a mark on these people, you could choose what you think that they are, you think, hey, I think, if you click into somebody, it's just so clear that they're a bot, or you think that, you think this person is just here to extract, then you write like a little note of why you think that, and you send, and the point of this is that, is that anybody that is doing anything with cure, any... project, I know there's like Hive Raven, I think it's called, there's Cure Angel, there's a bunch of these projects. Ideally, if we could start working together, we could start taking this data and just the point of this is to pull the real users up and highlight the real users and to ideally just... find these these people that are just here to extract or they're just bots or they're part of some bot farm or they're just here to scam or post crappy content. Yeah, so that is that a little bit. And now, so, you know, a lot of this is, it's about gamification as well, you know, gamification, so you, if you're a new user, you maybe want your card to look a little bit better, and then, and then if you, oh yeah, also you can see who made the account here, sorry to switch again, every, the center here is who created the account and where the account came from. So if you trust the user that, that created the account, you might, you know, vouch for them. And I do have this idea of that we would start vetting these, and when we really feel confident that a new user is a legit new user, I'd love to get, like, you know, proof of human, and maybe they have the chance to earn a handful of badges. One, we're trying to be like, is this a real human behind this, or is this a bot? That's like, you know, so if you get a proof of human badge, maybe you're still here to extract, but you are human. Okay, and I'll just kind of keep going but this is the idea is the future of this would be we would actually start I want to I don't want to necessarily highlight the negative people I just want to I want to catch them and and put them to curation organizations that already exist I'm not really trying to punish people via this app that's not really the point it's more to spot people and find people and give people tools to to better use their curation. But I would like to highlight if we find people that we really do think are legitimate new users. And so the idea is to gamify this, right? So I have these games here. I'm not going to click into bugger. That's a legitimate, or that's just like a game I made. It's just a little fun frogger game. It doesn't really have anything to do with onboarding or anything. But new be or not to be. So this is a place where you will get only new... first posts is what it is. So basically, if it's their first post ever, they will get brought to here. And this will fill as, it'll take the last 24 hours of new posts, and it will slowly fill that up, and this list will get longer so you can scroll, you can see it's already starting to fill in, we'll go back and take a look in a second. Let's just take a look. 3D skins, improve modern body shop. So this is like information, it's giving you information, you know, like, is it, it's not misinformation, it's not misinformation, it's just, I don't see any personality, I don't see any, it's just, It's just information. So to me, this feels like, it doesn't feel, like, who comes to a new thing and just, like, puts information about a body shop, you know, hi, I'm, this person, I work in a body shop, you know, and then maybe this information, or maybe if this was their fifth post, it would make sense because now they're just sharing you this information, but this. feels, it just feels like somebody farming and or part of a, you know, farming, you know, maybe it's a single person that's just going to try to extract and they don't know what they're doing. That's like a best case scenario, I think. More likely this feels AI, and so, you know, you can kind of, you got a couple options. I'm going to click, so you can make a template. you know, so you can make a comment on their, on their post based on what you feel. Some of them are generic and are already here, and these two are templates I made. For me, this seems like AI. I've been using this over the last few days, so if you look at my comments, you see a lot of my opinions. Sometimes I'll write a little thing like, hey, why don't you be more real, but I'll just use the generic one that I created the template because it just feels like a, it feels like a bot to me, or AI at least. I can click in here and seems AI, you write a little note, and that gets saved and ideally shared amongst different organizations. Then you go to the next one, it comes up, and I can kind of, we'll just, we won't go through everyone, we get the idea there, but let's just see if anything feels like a new. user. So we get in a lot of this, something I've noticed while I've been looking over these last four or five days using this tool is just generic inspirational posts. They come out every few hours and they have zero personality. They launch right into it. It definitely feels like a farm. achieved sculpted Avenue with tummy tuck in Rydia. Hmm. Okay, well, this one at least feels like it's attempting to be a first post, so let's see. Let's see. Hello, Hive. All right, well, it's given their name. Okay, telling you a little bit about themselves. Okay, we've got some, like, AIQs here. You got an M-Dash, another M-Dash down here. I find, I find when you get these, like, chains of, the more I sat, the more I read, the more I found, like, that's, that's, that's, it all feels pretty AI to me. It doesn't have to be, but my take, is that this is AI. So if they wrote it themselves, then so be it. Maybe they wrote it and put it through AI, and AI did this to it? I don't think so. This feels like a person trying to seem like a real person, but is AI. I mean, just straight up the amount of m-dashes. scammers haven't realized to just say, and no m-dashes, you know. But so, yeah, I'll, I will say, seems AI. And, you know, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not right now, I'm going to type anything. I would probably add a little personal thing. It seems like you're attempting to be a real person, I'd probably say, but right now I'm just going to post it, because they seem like, like AI and then I'll come up here and I will say lots of m dashes seems AI and save so that is the game newbie or not to be here you got We'll skip this one. Let's take a look what this guy looks like. He's just so new. It's harder to see when they're so new like this. Alright, here we got another one. He's a little bit older. Let's get a feel. I feel like this is where you get a sense. Start a rally. Thank you very much. Thank you, brother. You have a nice day, thank you, my friend, stop, this is... It also, in this comments, it also shows who, who voted for them and how much. Yeah, I mean, it's tough to say that it's AI, but it definitely feels pretty extractory, very generic. Thank you, thank you, thank you, nice day, stuff, you know, what does that, what does that mean? I don't know, I don't know if it's like 100% that it has to be, that they are, but... Okay. Oh, here we have sock or not, we will skip. a couple of these through. Let's see if we can find somebody that has been around for a little bit longer. No. So how long have you been around? Alright, here we got 119 days. This person voted on them just one time that I've been around. It doesn't look like they've got a lot of people voting all the time. Let's see what they're, they don't have very many comments at all, so they're not doing much. So they're, this at least seems semi-real because they're asking if their video seems like it could be a real person. This feels like a real human to me, at least to some extent, almost the fact that they haven't commented that much, but their comments feel fairly real. And let's say what else we can find here. What are their votes looking like? So they're not making many votes. They're receiving votes. Maybe, probably they're voting, they're probably posting on like to, I would imagine. Nothing really suspicious about that. I would say it's not. I don't think that that's a sock puppet. And that's, you know, you just keep going through. If you do choose it, you can, like if I say this guy's a sock, I would just make a little no, and I would save it. I'm not…
