You had a recent episode where you, the characters in Family Guy, went back to the pilot episode. And you actually, there was a bit of controversy around that, because there was this 9 -11 subplot that was going on at the time. Yeah, yeah, 9-11, which was an incident that happened in America about, about... You, I can't even express how mad I am at you right now. If it wasn't for you, those planes would have hit the World Trade Center. Brian, what the hell did you do? I, uh, may have told my former self about 9-11. What did I tell you about altering the path? It was 10 years ago that an almost inconceivable plot to destroy the World Trade Center was thwarted by Cohog's own Brian Griffin. This amateur video captured Griffin's heroism in the face of a shadowy terrorist organization called Holy . Look at all those vowels. Al-Qaeda. Here, make sure you get all this. Time to terrorize the terrorists. You prepared catchphrases for yourself? No, not necessarily. Muhammad oughta stayed home. Nobody knows that guy's name yet. You're using information that nobody knows. Houston, we have a solution. Houston's for space, not everyday air travel. Tell him to ground every plane out of the East Coast. Seacrest out. Ultimately, my career ended when I developed the Yips. And in 2001 at the U.S. Open, I first serve hit a plane, causing it to go tragically off course and hit a building. Everyone blamed the Muslims. 9-11 was bad. I agree with that. I can't believe how easy this is. Mrs. Griffin, what are your plans for cleaning up our environment? 9-11. This is Griffin, what about our traffic problem? 9-11. Brian, are you suggesting that 9-11 didn't change everything? What? No, I was just... Because 9-11 changed everything, Brian. 9-11 changed everything. Peter, you didn't even know what 9-11 was until 2004. That's not true, Brian. I remember 9-11. Well, Dave, I have a hilarious new movie coming out on HBO next month. It's all about 9-11. The movie's called September 11th, 2000 Fun. No, no, no, no, no. James, that sounds unbelievably offensive to Americans. Well, you haven't heard what the movie's about. I play a window washer who has just finished washing the last window at a World Trade Center. And then I turn around to get off the scaffold. And what do you think I see coming? A plane. And I go, come on! You know, it's real, real old-style comedy. You know, it's like... It's like two pies in the face and one in a field in Pennsylvania. Why are we in New York? I thought we were going to the Grand Canyon. Well, I just thought we should stop and pay our respects. Ground Zero. So this is where the first guy got age. Peter, this is the site of the 9 -11 terrorist attacks. Oh, so Saddam Hussein did this? No. The Iraqi army? No. Some guys from Iraq? No. That one lady who visited Iraq that one time? No, Peter, Iraq had nothing to do with this. It was a bunch of Saudi Arabians, Lebanese, and Egyptians financed by a Saudi Arabian guy living in Afghanistan and sheltered by Pakistanis. So you're saying we need to invade Iran? There you were. You were booked on the flight, I think, from Boston. that hit the South Tower. And you didn't get on it, why? A combination of two things. I was giving a lecture at my college the night before and went out with some of the faculty afterwards and had a few pints. They got drunk, yes. And coupled with the fact that my travel agent had listed the flight on my itineraries leaving 10 minutes later than it did. And I was, you know, I was... generally late for flights. You know, I'd missed a lot of flights prior to that, so it wasn't like it was anything crazily out of the ordinary, but I got to the counter, and I said, yeah, I'm booked on Flight 11, and the one behind the counter said, you know, sorry, you're too late, they just closed the gate, and I said, all right, well, you know, I'll take the 11 o'clock. Went into the lounge, fell asleep, woke up about 45 minutes later to a commotion, and the first plane had hit, and... sat there and watched the second plane hit and they announced what flight it was, and I turned to the guy next to me, and said, my, that was the flight I was supposed to be on. I was late, I missed it. You know, what an incredible thing to realize has just happened to the plane you should have been on. Yeah, yeah, I mean, it's, it's, there was a, you know, that, that wonderful unity that we've since completely abandoned. I, I've never felt more than when I was standing at the bar at 9 o 'clock in the morning, and, and, uh, you know, saying to the bartender, hey, you know, can you pour me a shot? And he's like, yeah, here you go, it's on the house. And, you know, that feeling that must have been what, you know, our grandparents felt during World War II, where, you know, this is, in that moment, everything was, we, we're all the same. But I was, I was, you know, I'm not a fatalist, I was not shaken to the core. in the way that I changed my whole outlook on life, mainly because I had missed planes before, and, you know, coincidences do happen. I mean, you know, coincidences do happen, I mean... You know, coincidences do happen, I mean... And you yourself, you have a connection to 9-11 as well, don't you? Yeah, I was booked on the first flight that hit the tower, and I was drinking the night before, overslept a little bit, in conjunction with the fact that my travel agent screwed up the itinerary by about 15 minutes, and so I arrived 10 minutes late to get on the flight. You know, coincidences do happen. I mean... Nine? 11. Oh, there it is, we did it, Brian, we made 9-11 happen. High-5! Alright, high-five! Well, that probably wouldn't look very good out of context.
