Jim Carrey's face has taken on more identities than most actors manage in a career, from Hollywood legends to politicians and strangers he met once. Here are his best impressions. On The Tonight Show, in 1991, Carrie said he had something a little different prepared. This is what he had. See if you recognize this, it's my impression of Wiley Coyote. walking away from a bad fall. On Conan's show, Jim Carrey debuted a clip where he plays Conan O'Brien himself, and this impression is point on. Hey, Jim! Oh, good to hear from you. I think you're hilarious. No, no, I'm just laughing. Just laughing. I'm a happy guy. Hey, I love the cable guy. I don't care what anybody says. I watch it 50 times on DVD. Yeah. Well, great. I can't wait to see you on the show. Okay? All right, chow, Jimbo. Okay. Jim Carrey isn't always doing an impression of a specific celebrity. This time, he was doing an impression of a rich person, specifically his own laugh after becoming one. It's a bit of pressure, I notice that it changes you in little ways. Like, it's changed the way I laugh at parties. Oh, really? I used to go, I used to go, ha ha, that's really funny. You know, now I go, oh! Jim Carrey stepped into Saturday Night Live's version of the 2020 presidential debate as Joe Biden. What followed was one of the most chaotic, committed impressions of his entire career. Now look, here's the deal. Can I respond to that, Chris? Will you just shut up? I'm sorry, I misspoke. What I meant to say was, I'd appreciate it very much. If you could just allow me to finish my responses as opposed to sabotaging every waking moment with a toxic geyser of verbal diarrhea, you cracked out turd-hearling sack of ranc of rancid dog snot. Jim Carrey was invited to pay tribute to Clint Eastwood at the AFI Awards. Instead of a straight speech, he recreated an old improvised scene from their first film together. Hey, man, I can handle it. Jim Carrey doesn't just impersonate people in cartoon characters. Sometimes it's animals, too, and on the Graham Norton show, he went full dog mode. According to Jim Carey, his inner conscience sounds like Broderick Crawford and born yesterday, and of course, he demonstrated it. But my conscience is like Broderick Crawford and born yesterday. Who do you think I'm fine of? Who do you think I'm bullied? Who do you think I'm a bullet? No place you can hide, no way to hedge me. Shut up! Homs like you. I like you. I like that. Hunk's like you are a dime a dozen. Man, it's hard to get out of control. Yeah, I like that. It's better if you turn around before it, though. We've seen plenty of Jim Carrey impressions by now, but nothing quite prepares you for his Jimmy Stewart. Well, I guess we're going to have ourselves a nuclear holocaust. that mushroom cloud. Isn't that beautiful? And the amazing thing to me is that something so magnificent, colorful could just melt your face right off. That's positive energy. On the late show, Letterman claimed only Matt Damon could really nail a Matthew McConaughey impression. Jim Carey disagreed and proved it on the spot. Well, oh no, it's real simple, Dave. All I gotta do is let go of the illusion that I exist. Drive around my Lincoln, rolling this booger. I'm fine, Matthew. It makes me feel safe, Dave. It's not even a booger anymore. Oh, okay, that's... It's more of an anchor. Uh-huh. Jim carries impressions go beyond famous faces. This time, it's not a person at all. It's every Jim stereotype rolled into one. Crazy in there. Some people are like, they're in the bathroom popping steroids. Next thing you know, they're like... So what does this big stink about the drugs? I mean, so I want to take a few pills before I work out. Does that make me any less of a woman? I can bring home the bacon, fried up in a pan, and even make my husband wondering. Talking about his dog's bark collar, Kerry joked that Clint Eastwood's voice was too quiet to set it off. So he did the voice himself, just to settle it. Clint Eastwood can't even activate it with his voice. Really? No, it's too quiet. Nothing happened. He showed. Help me, Jay. I'm going into an impressionist bit. By the time Jim Carrey brought his David Caruso bit to Letterman, half of Hollywood had already done it. His version is still the one people remember the most. this real intense close up here. Okay? David Caruso, well, I guess we've found... He used to be an English teacher. Uh-huh. I before E. Except after seeing. Cartoon voiceovers. I wonder what that would be like. I did. I did to you, putty tat. Jim Carrey stand-up in 1984 ran on one gimmick. total physical transformation, and when he claims he's flexible enough to slip into someone else's body, he isn't kidding. Now, I'm very flexible too, which is good, because if I get tired of this body, you can just slip into Sammy Davis Jr.'s. dance for you in one of cheers At a Merrill Streep tribute, Jim Carrey ran through a few celebrity commercial cameos. Jack Nicholson, though, is his bread and butter. Jack Nicholson. I can't believe I ate the whole thing. Turns out that wasn't even Carrie's best Jack Nicholson. This one tops it completely. Years before Jim Carrey became the Riddler in Batman Forever, he was already doing Batman bits on The Tonight Show. Kevin Bacon is Batman. And if that isn't enough, in this parody commercial, he plays a female bodybuilder and somehow pulls it off completely. I'm world famous bodybuilder, Vera Tamila. A woman like me gives off many special sense, especially after a grueling afternoon of deep power squats. That's why I'm here to promote my new fragrance. Vera. Why work as hard as I do, when you can just smell like it. It smells like a sweaty guy. Oh, shut up! It's a very special combination of rose hips, athletes, foot fungi, and stinky fluids that keep running out of my body when I pose. Robert De Niro is one of the most imitated actors in Hollywood history. Jim Carrey's version might be one of the best. De Niro's? Now that says spicy meat the ball. Ron Howard directed Jim Carey as the Grinch in 2000. This is Carrie's impression of Howard calling him for promo. But then I get the call from Ron Howard. Gee, golly gosh, Jim, it sure would be good if you could go down there, you know, and just, you know, you got the Grinch coming out, you know, sure would be good if you could get on that MTV music thing, Jim, and gee, golly gosh, just wow them, you know? But I don't want to put any pressure on you, Jim. Pewey Herman was one of the most recognizable characters of the 80s, but Kerry brought his own version of him to life. Hi, boys and girls. Your friend Peewee has been on a new adventure, which is why it's time to buy the new improved pee-wee dog. This one's even anatomically done. The new Pee-Doll is a master of a disguise. Jim Carrey has always been a fan of Bruce Dern. At the 2014 Oscars, with Dern right there nominated for Nebraska, Carrie couldn't resist doing an impression of him. Can't keep a good man down, can you, Bruce? Can you? You look at me when I'm talking to you, son. It's kind of tough being on the other side of that, isn't it? McConaughey's real Lincoln commercials were already famous for being a little too philosophical. In 2014, Jim Carrey brought his own version to SNL. What are any of us doing here? Whether I get your question right or wrong, free will is an illusion. Life is a game that plays us. Jim Carrey's list of impressions includes plenty of tough guys. Sylvester Stallone is one of them. You do, though? It's mostly just me. Well, it is, it must be all for you, right? Yeah, I do all my own studs, you know what I mean? You'll pay a lot of money, you come to the deal. Not even Soviet leaders are safe from Jim Carrey. Here's his Leonid Brezhnev impression from his first ever American TV appearance in 1983. And that's the last of Jim Carrey's impressions.
