It is one thing to draw lines on a sheet of paper and quite another to do it on the surface of a cake, on the sheet you can erase any mistake or line that comes out crooked, but on a cake a mistake is much more difficult to correct, especially when you are working with black coloring and your pulse is a little shaky.

Honoring the name of my account @zupasteleria I continue to share with you some of my work as a pastry chef in what I had been busy these days among other responsibilities I had to fulfill..

Last weekend, I made a ***Flork themed cake which is a famous meme in the shape of a sock with eyes, mouth and arms which allows it to reflect different emotions.

It's not the first time I've made a *Flork themed cake, however I have a habit of practicing on a piece of paper before I draw it on top of the cake. Although, when the time comes to draw this nice doodle on the cake, for some reason my pulse fails me making some of the lines crooked and believe me it is not easy to fix it, because this drawing is made with black cream on a white area as I mentioned before.

In this regard, I find that if I hold my breath while I am drawing each line of the Flork figure, I am much more likely to succeed. So, what I do is take a big breath and then draw line by line, almost in slow motion, and when I finish, I release my breath. Although, even doing what I have just told you, there is always a margin of error, but with a quite acceptable result.

Now I want to invite you to see the Short where I show you a small part of how I draw a Flork on a cake and if you pay attention you will hear at the moment when I breathe.

*Many will think that it is not difficult to draw a doodle like the Flork and maybe they are right, but we will never know if something is easy or difficult until we try to do it.

Una cosa es trazar líneas en una hoja de papel y otra muy distinta es hacerlo en la superficie de una torta, en la hoja puedes borrar cualquier error o línea que salga chueca, pero en una torta una equivocación es mucho más difícil de corregir, especialmente cuando estás trabajando con colorante negro y tu pulso es algo tembloroso.

Haciéndole honor al nombre de mi cuenta @zupasteleria continuo compartiéndoles parte de mi trabajo como repostera en lo que había estado ocupada estos día entre otras responsabilidades con las que tenía que cumplir.

El fin de semana pasado, hice una torta con temática de Flork el cual es un famoso meme en forma de calcetín con ojos, boca y brazos lo que le permite reflejar diferentes emociones.

No es la primera vez que hago una torta con temática de *Flork, sin embargo tengo por costumbre practicar en una hoja de papel antes de plasmarlo encima de la torta. Aunque, cuando llega el momento de dibujar este simpático garabato sobre la torta, por alguna razón el pulso me falla haciendo que alguna de las líneas me queden torcidas y créanme que no es fácil arreglarlo, pues este dibujo se hace con crema negra sobre un área blanca como les mencioné anteriormente.

En este sentido, descubrí que si aguanto la respiración mientras estoy trazando cada línea de la figura del Flork, tengo mucha más probabilidades de éxito. Entonces, lo que hago es tomar una gran bocanada de aire y después dibujar línea por línea, casi en cámara lenta y cuando culmino, suelto la respiración. Aunque, incluso, haciendo esto que les acabo de contar, siempre existe un margen de error, pero con un resultado bastante aceptable.

Ahora quiero invitarte a ver el Short donde te muestro una pequeña parte de cómo dibujo un Flork sobre una torta y si prestas atención escucharás en el momento en el que respiro.

Muchos pensaran que no es tan difícil dibujar un garabato como el Flork y quizás tengan razón, pero nunca sabremos si algo es fácil o difícil hasta que intentamos hacerlo.
