Una jornada de seis años || A six-year journey

Hoy, 19 de enero de 2024, se cumplen seis años desde que creé esta cuenta que ha sido mi ventana y escenario durante este período. @Ylich, simple, corto, solo mi nombre.

Si hubiera que hacer el resumen más corto acerca de este trayecto, podríamos decir que transité desde el escéptico ante el mundo cripto, hasta convertirme en un referente dentro de esta plataforma, gracias al apoyo de cada uno de ustedes.

No cabe duda que asumir la dirección del proyecto @la-colmena, fue un paso fundamental para yo comprometerme de la manera que hice, para convertirme en un punto de apoyo para los usuarios de habla hispana. En esos tiempos no contábamos con el gran apoyo y la cantidad de comunidades y proyectos que hay hoy en día para orientar a las personas que solo hablan español. Eran tiempos en que todo el tiempo había que ir aprendiendo de ensayo y error y, en muchos casos, llevando golpes duros.

Pero eso también generó un grupo de gente que se vieron impulsados a convertirse en guías, en orientadores, en maestros. Cada uno a su manera y desde diferentes proyectos, pero todos con un objetivo común.

Creo que una de las cosas más bonitas que me ha tocado vivir en Hive, es el contacto con muchos de esos Hivers, que se han dado a esta maravillosa tarea y descubrir tantas personas con vivencias disimiles, con caracteres tan variados, enfoques en ocasiones contrastantes, pero todos con un mismo anhelo.

Today, January 19, 2024, marks six years since I created this account, which has been my window and stage during that time. @Ylich, simple, short, just my name.

If we had to make the shortest summary of this journey, we could say that I went from being a skeptic of the crypto world to becoming a reference within this platform, thanks to the support of each one of you.

There is no doubt that taking on the leadership of the @la-colmena project was a fundamental step for me to commit myself in the way I did, to become a point of support for Spanish-speaking users. Back then, we did not have the great support and the amount of communities and projects that exist today to guide people who only speak Spanish. Those were times when we had to learn by trial and error, and in many cases take hard knocks.

But it also created a group of people who were driven to become guides, counselors, teachers. Each in their own way and from different projects, but all with a common goal.

I think that one of the most beautiful things I have experienced in the Hive is the contact with so many of these Hivers who have dedicated themselves to this wonderful task, and to discover so many people with different experiences, with so many different characters, with sometimes contrasting approaches, but all with the same desire.

Un balance que podemos hacer hoy, es que, más allá de los errores que hayamos podido cometer, hemos logrado un avance significativo. Hoy la comunidad de habla hispana es toda una fuerza y con roles cada vez más protagónicos. Desde hace mucho tiempo qu hemos venido cumpliendo con un rol fundamental en la creación de contenidos, pero hoy en día hemos llegado mucho más lejos y vamos ocupando más y más roles de peso.

Hoy me siento feliz de haber dado aquel paso de crear mi cuenta “solo por curiosidad” y ver todo lo que de allí se ha desprendido.

De los eventos que más recuerdo, porque mostraron el fondo y esencia de esta plataforma, fue el famoso “hostile takeover”, por parte de Justin Sun a la plataforma Steem, que generó una reacción de parte de los usuarios y de los testigos, que como un bloque reaccionó frente a aquella medida y que terminó originando el nacimiento de Hive. Toda una lección de trabajo en equipo de toda una comunidad, apoyados por los principales desarrolladores y testigos. ¡Un momento épico!

De resto, puedo decir que en estos seis años he compartido todas mis vivencias, mi crecimiento profesional, mis nuevos proyectos, he desarrollado nuevas aptitudes y, por tanto, Hive se ha convertido en un espejo de mí mismo, pero que me ha obligado a reinventarme y a crecer. Entre las áreas que desarrollé a partir de esta plataforma, está la literatura.

Por cierto, valga esta oportunidad para agradecer a @hivecreatorsday y todas las personas que participaron en las votaciones que hicieron a finales del año 2023, en el cual me eligieron ganador en el campo de la Literatura. Puedes ver esa publicación en este enlace.

Así, pues, son seis años de experiencias de todo tipo, pero que han sido fundamentales en mi crecimiento como persona. Por lo tanto, lo único que puedo recomendarle a quien lea esto, es que siga este ejemplo y se sume a la gran aventura que significa formar parte de Hive. A los que ya están acá, los invito a conocer mejor cada día estos espacios, para poder entenderlos mejor y así aprovechar todo el inmenso potencial que Hive nos ofrece para nuestro propio desarrollo.

The balance we can draw today is that, despite the mistakes we may have made, we have made significant progress. Today, the Spanish-speaking community is a force to be reckoned with and is playing an increasingly important role. For a long time we have played a fundamental role in the creation of content, but today we have gone much further and we are taking on more and more important roles.

Today, I am happy to have taken that step of creating my account "just out of curiosity" and to see what has come of it.

One of the events I remember the most, because it showed the background and the essence of this platform, was the famous "hostile takeover" of the Steem platform by Justin Sun, which triggered a reaction from users and witnesses, who reacted as a block against this action, and finally gave birth to Hive. A lesson in the teamwork of a whole community, supported by the main developers and witnesses, an epic moment!

Otherwise, I can say that in these six years I have shared all my experiences, my professional growth, my new projects, I have developed new skills, and therefore Hive has become a mirror of myself, but it has forced me to reinvent myself and grow. One of the areas I have developed from this platform is literature.

So, that's six years of experiences of all kinds, but ones that have been crucial to my growth as a person. So the only thing I can recommend to anyone reading this is to follow suit and join the great adventure of being part of Hive. For those of you who are already here, I invite you to get to know these spaces better every day, to understand them better, and to take advantage of all the immense potential that Hive offers us for our own development.
