Creative Sunday:This is God is too Good

I'm so happy to be sharing part of my creative spirit with you all today. For this week's blog, I want to present a song that has really ministered to me lately - "This God is Too Good" by Nathaniel Bassey.

The first time I heard this song, I was completely captivated by the simple yet powerful lyrics and melodies. The more I listened to it, the more the words resonated with me. The song is a beautiful reminder of all the ways God has blessed me and shown His goodness in my life.

The lyrics walk through how God has provided, protected, and guided:

"You lift my head when I'm bowed down
You lift me up when I fall down
You have provided everything I need
Truly this God is too good to me"

"You make a way when there seems to be no way

As I reflect on my own journey, I can point to so many examples of His provision - times when I didn't know how I'd pay a bill, but the money came just in time. Times when I felt completely down and defeated, only to be lifted by an encouraging word from a friend. Times when doors opened and paths forward appeared that I didn't expect.

This song reminds me to have gratitude, not just for the big miracles, but for the small everyday blessings too. The meal I ate today. The roof over my head. The beauty of creation all around. God is so gracious and His mercies are new every morning.

I hope this song ministers to you like it has for me. I encourage you to listen to it reflect on the ways God has been good to you. Our God is an on-time God. He's a way-maker and a provider. He is light in our darkness and hope in our valleys. Truly, this God is too good!
