Hello to all members of the Hive Open Mic family and music lovers. Hive Open Mic For 98 weeks, I prepared a very special song in the form of a hymn, thinking that it is also suitable for the theme of conversation with God. I tried to perform Haydar Haydar, one of the most important works of Traditional Turkish Music and a precious part of Sufi culture, for you. I hope you will like it.

Haydar Haydar is actually an oral work, but it is often played as an instrumental. Its composer, the great master Ali Ekber Çiçek, composed this piece in the 1970s, in eight years, with fine processing. While composing, he often cried emotionally. In his own words, Haydar Haydar was kneaded with tears. In fact, an American musicology professor, who listened to Haydar Haydar's recording in those years, came to Istanbul radio to meet him. Because the professor could not believe that this music came from a single instrument. When he was alone with Ali Ekber Çiçek and listened to Haydar Haydar live, he was very surprised by what he heard and offered him to give concerts in America. Thereupon, four concerts took place in America. Over time, this piece, which was recognized by many music authorities in the world, began to be taught in lectures at universities. Various classical music groups such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra have also added Haydar Haydar to their repertoire.

This work, which has turned fifty years old, still continues to be performed in different parts of the world, especially in Turkey. Ali Ekber Çiçek died in 2006 at the age of 71, but his works continue to live on.

Hive Open Mic ailesinin tüm üyelerine ve müzikseverlere merhaba. Hive Open Mic 98 hafta için tanrı ile sohbet temasına da uygun olduğunu düşünerek ilahi formunda çok özel bir şarkı hazırladım. Geleneksel Türk Müziğinin en önemli eserlerinden ve tasavvuf kültürünün nadide bir parçası olan Haydar Haydar'ı sizler için icra etmeye çalıştım. Umarım beğenirsiniz.

Haydar Haydar aslında sözlü bir eser fakat çoğu zaman enstrümantal olarak çalınıyor. Bestecisi büyük usta Ali Ekber Çiçek bu eseri 1970'li yıllarda sekiz yıl içinde ince ince işleyerek bestelemiş. Bestelerken de çoğu zaman duygulanarak ağlamış. Kendi ifadesiyle Haydar Haydar gözyaşlarıyla yoğrulmuş. Hatta o yıllarda Haydar Haydar'ın kaydını dinleyen Amerikalı bir müzikoloji profesörü hemen kendisiyle tanışmak için İstanbul radyosuna gelmiş. Zira profesör bu müziğin tek bir enstrümandan çıktığına inanamıyordu. Ali Ekber Çiçek ile başbaşa kalıp Haydar Haydar'ı canlı dinleyince duydukları onu çok şaşırtmış ve Amerika'da konserler vermesi için kendisine teklifte bulunmuş. Bunun üzerine Amerika'da dört adet konser gerçekleşmiş. Zamanla dünyanın birçok müzik otoritesi tarafından tanınan bu eser üniversitelerde derslerde anlatılmaya başlanmış. Başta Berlin Flarmoni Orkestrası gibi çeşitli klasik müzik grupları da Haydar Haydar'ı repertuarlarına katmışlar.

Elli yılı deviren bu eser bugün hala başta Türkiye olmak üzere dünyanın farklı bölgelerinde icra edilmeye devam ediyor. Ali Ekber Çiçek 2006 yılında 71 yaşındayken hayata veda etti fakat onun eserleri yaşamaya devam ediyor.
