Namaste to all #Hive gardeners and #Nature lovers.๐Ÿ™

So, how are you all? I hope you all are happy and healthy.
This is not happening for the first time. If you have been following me for some time you would know that even before this I have shared with you a few stories of my plants from my home terrace garden. Some stories in which we enjoy the journey of a plant from seed to plant and then to bearing fruits or flowers. So, taking the same trend forward, I am here again in front of you all with another episode of My Home Terrace Garden Journal.

In the last blog Growing Carrots From Seeds, we enjoyed 45 days journey of carrot seeds from sowing to becoming plants. In this blog, I am taking you on the further journey of those little carrot plants.

When you last saw these plants on December 28, they were this small.

After this, the winters became severe and due to dew drops and very little sunlight, the growth of these plants slowed down a bit. This happens with most plants because the sun's heat is as important as raindrops and fertilizers.

Well, after enduring one full month of severe winter, I took these pictures of my carrot plants on 1st February.

And after more than a month, I was not satisfied just by seeing these plants. So, out of curiosity, the very next day I moved the soil a little with my finger and checked to see what was the condition of my carrots under these plants. :D

I was so happy to see baby carrots in the soil beneath these slowly thickening plants as if I had won a battle.
Remember, some time ago I said in one of my blogs that "Plants give me a feeling of freshness, peace and inner happiness, and growing them strengthens my confidence. That if I can grow fruits from a tiny seed then I can do anything, I just have to work smart and be patient."
My heart was once again filled with joy and my confidence was boosted after seeing these baby carrots under the soil. ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ˜Š

Then, after a gap of 15 days on 18th Feb, I took some pictures in which you can see how these carrot plants have become bigger and denser.

And then the day came when finally these carrots were completely ready for harvesting.

Although I had grown carrots in my home terrace garden once before, this was the first time that the crop at my home had grown so good and dense. So I wanted to make this harvesting special.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Therefore I thought why not get this auspicious work (harvesting) done by the kids of the house?

So a day ago on Saturday, 24th Feb, I talked to my brother's 9-year-old daughter on the phone call and said that you are invited to the Carrot Harvesting Festival at our house. Come with your parents by 11-12 noon.
She became so excited then the next day, at the right time, she and my other brother's family came to my house.
She herself made all these drawing crafts in just a few hours for our special day.

This was the festival entry ticket which she made herself and brought with her.

this was like a poster promoting the fest.

    This was the banner.

She had made carrot fest badges for all three children of the house. If you're confused about what and why that round little fruit in the middle of the carrot on her badge is. Actually, her nickname is Cherry, that's why she also drew Cherry on her badge.๐Ÿ’

This is another badge with peas in the middle of the carrot because this kid loves sweet peas.โœŒ๏ธ

Then first we all had a family lunch together and then went to the terrace and got the kids to harvest the carrots.

When I came up with the idea of โ€‹โ€‹celebrating harvesting carrots from just one container, I never imagined it would be so much fun. Children made simple harvesting special. I knew that this would be a different experience for them because often children in metro cities do not know anything about farming etc. The joy of eating a fruit by plucking it with hands enhances its taste also.
