Cuánto Cuesta la Comida en Venezuela vs España 2023

A few weeks ago I traveled to Madrid and one of the things I like most when I travel, is to compare prices in supermarkets, in addition to learning about new products. So much so that my suitcases are fuller on the way back and only with food.

I have traveled to Chile, Panama, Ecuador, USA and Spain; this last one seems to me the one with more variety of delicious things, although I have to confess that in the USA I didn't go into supermarkets, because I only bought clothes.

There are some things that I miss from Chile and Panama, but they are few in comparison with Spain, even with Venezuela.

For some time now in Venezuela the price of food has gone up a lot. I am aware that the same thing has happened in all countries, but there is no comparison.

Because of this, I recorded several products to see the prices and leave this testimony of the difference between Spain and Venezuela. Being the first one in Europe it should be more expensive; there people earn more, the purchasing power is higher, however Venezuela seems to be one of the most expensive places.

Some prices you will see from Venezuela are lower than a few months ago. After December some of the products went down. However, there is still a big difference.

I chose two supermarkets in the capitals, Madrid and Caracas, to be more precise. It is possible that some products are cheaper or more expensive in other cities or towns.

I have been comparing prices between Spain and Venezuela for years, since I lived there in 2006. Prices in Venezuela were always lower in food and higher in clothes. Now they are higher in everything, including internet hahaha, except rents, gasoline and electricity.

Hace unas semanas viajé a Madrid y una de las cosas que más me gusta cuando viajo, es comparar precios en los supermercados, además de conocer nuevos productos. Tanto es así que mi maletas van más llenas de regreso y solo con comida.

He viajado a Chile, Panamá, Ecuador, EEUU y España; este último me parece por más, el que más variedad de cosas ricas tiene, aunque tengo que confesar que en EEUU no me adentré en los supermercados, porque solo compré ropa.

Hay cosas puntuales que extraño de Chile y Panamá, pero son pocas en comparación con España, incluso con Venezuela.

Desde hace un tiempo en Venezuela el precio de la comida ha subido mucho. Soy consciente que en todos los países ha pasado igual, pero no tiene comparación.

Debido a esto, grabé a varios productos para ver los precios y dejar este testimonio de la diferencia entre España y Venezuela. Estando el primero en Europa debería ser más caro; allá la gente gana más, el poder adquisitivo es mayor, sin embargo Venezuela parece de los lugares más caros.

Algunos precios que verán de Venezuela están más bajos que hace unos meses. Después de diciembre parte de los productos bajaron. De igual forma se sigue viendo una gran diferencia.

Elegí dos supermercados de las capitales, Madrid y Caracas, para ser más precisos. Es posible que algunos productos sean más baratos o caros en otras ciudades o pueblos.

Yo llevo años comparando precios entre España y Venezuela, desde que viví allá en 2006. Los precios en Venezuela siempre fueron menores en la comida y mayores en la ropa. Ahora son mayores en todo, incluyendo internet jajaja, menos en los alquileres, gasolina y luz.
